Что выгоднее купить: Windows BOX или OEM?

Мы уже рассматривали — какая версия операционной системы более тяжеловесна и на что это влияет. Для многих пользователей всё равно остаётся загадкой, даже если они определились с битностью и версией Windows, какую стоит купить. BOX или OEM? На чём сэкономить и в чём отличие?

Конечно, различие есть как по цене, так и по свойствам. На первый взгляд OEM выгоднее и обойдётся Вам дешевле примерно на 35% процентов. Но стоят ли эти деньги экономии и не теряете ли Вы больше в дальнейшем. Давайте рассмотрим пример на Windows 7. Для начала краткое пояснение отличий, т. к. лицензионное соглашение во время установки никто на территории России не читает и считает, что если купил лицензию, то может ей пользоваться пожизненно, переставляя с ПК на ПК как на работе, так и дома. Итак:
OEM- версии программ стоят дешевле на 35-50% и продаются только в комплекте с оборудованием (системный блок, ноут, сканер или DVD-ROM). К OEM версии Windows всегда идёт наклейка-сертификат с серийным номером программы, которую Вы обязаны наклеить на корпус Вашего системного блока. Также в комплекте может идти книжка и диск установки (но их может и не быть). На ноутбуках дистрибутив программы зашит в скрытом разделе на винчестере. Именно поэтому на ноутбуках в случае умирания винчестера лучше заранее сделать резервное копирование операционной системы на внешний носитель (флэшка, винчестер, диски). Действие программ, прилагаемых к оборудованию, заканчивается как только оборудование умирает, и переставлять программу на другой ПК запрещается, т. к. это уже не будет считаться лицензией. К тому же программа сама откажется от активации на другом оборудовании, заявив, что Вы установили нелицензионную копию. Даже если Вам удастся переставить систему на другой ПК, то наклейку, подтверждающую право лицензии, Вы уже не переклеите. Тем более это не выход для предприятия, которое в любую минуту могут проверить на лицензирование программного обеспечения. И это не все ограничения. Для маленькой фирмы с 10 ПК без разницы — будут ли использоваться OEM копии программ или BOX. А вот для крупной фирмы существует ограничение по количеству программ OEM версий, разрешённых к использованию, и это грозит штрафами как за нелицензионное программное обеспечение.
BOX- версия представляет из себя коробочный вариант, продающийся отдельно от оборудования. Серийный номер с лицензионным сертификатом, наклеенным на пластиковой коробке, никуда не приклеивающийся. Эти версии программ можно переставлять на другие ПК по мере необходимости, и они будут считаться лицензионными. В коробочных версиях всегда присутствует установочный диск. Некоторые лицензии коробочных версий программного обеспечения позволяют устанавливать их сразу на 2 устройствах (1 стационарном ПК и переносном 1 ноутбуке одного владельца). Эта возможность может сэкономить средства в несколько раз по сравнению с OEM.
И это ещё не всё. Операционная система Windows 7 будет, по заявлению Microsoft , поддерживаться до 2020 года. То есть всё выпускаемое оборудование будет нормально на ней работать и будут выпускаться обновления. Из этого следует, что осталось 8 лет. За 8 лет хоть дома, хоть на фирме ПК или ноут успеют сдохнуть, как бы Вы за ними не ухаживали. А в основном никто ухаживать за техникой вообще не приучен. И если у Вас была OEM версия, то с покупкой нового оборудования Вам придётся повторно приобретать лицензию, а в результате лицензирование выйдет дороже на 35% , чем при покупке сразу версии BOX (тем более с возможностью установки на 2 или 3 устройства). Вывод очевиден. С версией BOX Вы сможете заменять своё оборудование дома и на фирме хоть каждый год, не тратясь постоянно на лицензирование. И даже, если захотите перейти на более современные программы, то всегда сможете абсолютно законно перепродать BOX версии программ и окупить часть лицензирования новых версий (чего нельзя сделать с OEM программами).
