Leaving directory

Пытаюсь значит собрать модуль для сетевухи. А оно мне выдает Leaving directory! Stop! И все. Сетевуха — Realtek RTL8168/8111 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet NIC. Подскажите что это значит? Или если кому не сложно скиньте куда — нибудь модуль r1000.

Не понятно что-ли? Драйвер он собирал, а тут покидание директории и каюк.

Лелаю все по инструкции. Там все очень просто. Но вот эта ошибка мне вообще не понятна. Может быть лучше скачать новое ядро, пусть даже экспериментальное? Только не уверен, что есть поддержка мей железки. Я тут погуглил, народ с этой сетевухой мается по полной, причем ошибки у всех разные. Своей я не нашел. Как поступить?

Потом (и только потом!) привести полностью информацию о том, как воспроизвести ошибку (прямо покомандно) и вывод команды make, в котором ты выделил наименее существенную часть «leaving directory».

Teak спасибо за совет. Я понимаю что мой вопрос поставлен некорректно. Уже читаю. Скорее всего потом буду качать новое ядро.

I am trying to install the driver for PS3 eye camera in Ubuntu 16.04 however using this tutorial, after the make command, I get the following error:

When trying smallapp I get no video as mentioned in the answer.

Intro

Please note that unified interface to video capture devices is packaged in Ubuntu as libunicap2-dev package.

But it seems that you are patching the exact 0.9.5 version from 2008 year.

1. Compilation

Script doesn’t work as is on CentOS 8, needs modification. Actual media path is /run/media/ and you have to hard add your username as the whoami syntax does not work. Change those two lines to a valid path and then this script will work. Of course you still have to install a bunch of things manually first because their prereq installing doesn’t work. Likely because they need dkms and that’s not in the normal repos so you have to add extras epel-release.
Nice job finding a fix for their broken installer. So much for a commercial solution making vms easier.

LFS проблемы с gcc

Здравствуйте! Я новичок в linux. LFS — для того, что бы разобраться что к чему. Да и к тому же много много веселья)
Дошел до пункта 5.5.

Очевидно, вы пытаетесь собрать gcc в каталоге с его исходниками, несмотря на то, что в инструкции написано:

Это не поддерживается, те вам нужно создать отдельный каталог, и запускать configure && make уже оттуда.

мне почти удалось всё собрать.

используйте только те версии пакетов которые там указаны

нет, это первый вывод. потом порылся, нашел то самое решение, снова запустил make и make install и не увидел ошибок, только насторожила скорость выполнения.

Исходники в sources, создал папку gcc-build, скопировал туда исходники gcc, распаковал и пытаюсь там собрать. Да, видимо сглупил. Получается, мне нужно в gcc-build создать папку и из нее запускать «/mnt/lfs/gcc-build/gcc-4.5.2/configure \»?

По-моему, вы указали на основную мою ошибку.. А как тогда быть потом с обновлениями? Или сначала главное все собрать, а обновляться легче будет?

Фактически, никак. Никакой системы обновлений нет.
Поставь арч, советую тебе ещё раз.

-j2 у make — это параллельная сборка в два потока. Это ускоряет сборку, но некоторые программы могут так не собраться, если авторы не протестировали параллельную сборку.

Можно при выходе новой версии просто собрать её и установить, она перезапишет старые файлы, обычно всё работает хорошо.
