You have to install Lenovo Access Connections and create new Mobile Broadband Connection using its wizard. Note that some people says you don’t have to install Lenovo Access Connections to create the mobile connection but I’ve not find a way to create it using Windows 7 built-in tools only yet.

Lenovo Power Manager does not work with Windows 10 upgrade
I installed Windows 10 on my Windows 7 machine. Lenovo Power Manager ceased to work. I uninstalled the program, then downloaded it again. It did not install and does not appear in my apps list. I got a window at the end of the installation which said it was not compatible with my system.
Have I lost the ability to get this program? It is much more versatile than the Windows 10 power controls.

here is a weird thing I hope it can be explained, I originally had dual boot (win7 and 8.1). I updated both to win 10:
1. win7, like yours, LPM ceased to work, crashed all the time, and I uninstalled then tried reinstalling and had the same error(not compatible)
2. win8.1, there wasn’t an old version previously, and I installed the same version (latest from Lenovo), which claimed to support 7/vista only, and it seems to work fine on win10.
use win7 compatible mode to install, and it now works.

I gave up on Windows 10. Although much better for non-touchscreen laptops, it still seems designed to be viewed on a tablet as text and graphics are very large with much less text on the screen at any one time. It does seem to work with few glitches though.
Windows 10 also has fewer ways to personalize. As you say, the power controls are much less customizable than Lenovo’s Power Manager, but that is a Lenovo program. However, even some Windows personalization is abbreviated in its ability to customize.

I went to C:\Program Files (x86)\ThinkPad\Utilities and found the file PWMUI.exe, changed the compatibility mode to Windows 7 and it now works.
If you can’t find that file try installing the application from this link:
It took me a couple of hours to figure it out. I hope this helps the rest of you guys.

This is an excellent suggestion and worked like a charm — I found the file and changed the compatibility — quite easy to do and things seem to b working!! A happy camper!!

I also made this change but it seems it works partially. When I go to battery maintenance and set it to «Battery Health Mode» the settings are lost after reset.

Yes it does work that way in windows 10, it’s even work for fresh and clean installation of windows 10 actually, but it needs Net 3.5 (2.0 & 3.0 included) for windows 10 installed, otherwise it may not work for windows 10 fresh and clean installation.
But here’s a new problem I’m having right now, it won’t work at all with November update which is Windows 10 1511 Build 10.10586, the newer version of windows 10 removed PWM from my system after I upgraded to Windows 10 Build 10586. I’ve tried with clean installation, it said the PWM program is not compatible with windows 10.
I’m currently thinking of dropping win 10 altogether after November’s update if there’s no solution to this, I need PWM for my Lenovo E330, it could stay off power cord about 9-10 hours standby, 7-8 hours light-medium daily activity, and about 2-3 hours for gaming (depends on games power consumption), without PWM Lenovo battery uses advantage will be useless.
