Lenovo energy management windows 10 g500
Microsoft assured me that my system was compatible with windows 10 so I upgraded. I hate it, but there is no going back now. But, I had used energy manager so set my system so that I conserved the battery life since I mostly use it on AC power. Now, I have the need to travel and cannot find a way to get the battery to fully charge!! is there a solution to this??
Mod’s Edit: System model added to front of Subject line to improve visibility / clarity.

Re: energy manager not working in windows 10
Can you consider doing these steps:
1.Re-install the Lenovo Energy Manager from the link below and eboot.
2. Launch the Energy Manager and set the battery settings to Maximum Battery Life.
When finished, try to charge the battery and observe. If still no go, unplug the charger and use the computer until the battery gets drained and try charging it offline (machine is powered off while charger is connected) or while the computer is running and observe.
Let me know how it goes.

Re: energy manager not working in windows 10
Welcome to the Forums.
You didn’t mention the model of your lenovo unit but it seems like you have enabled Conservation Mode to limit the battery charge up to 60%.
If you did use Conservation Mode and you can’t toggle it back so it’ll fykky charge the battery then try the following:
1. Uninstall the Lenovo Energy Manager from the Control Panel > Programs and Features then reboot and observe if the battery is now charging pass 60%.
2. If same problem, shutdown the machine and leave the AC adapter plugged-for an hour or two and observe the battery charge via the light indicator.
Let me know if this works for you.
