Windows 10 has no drivers for my headset. Windows 7 had them built in.

Will these come to Windows 10 too? I don’t understand why such a basic driver was not also included in Windows 10 when both previous O/S’s had them. I have the same issue with my built-in webcam.

If the information provided by Logitech are true, then we will need to also check the driver update for chipset, USB controllers.

Logitech never provided drivers for the other operating systems because they were built into Windows.

Here is the response from Logitech:

The ClearChat Pro USB is a plug and play device. This means that the headset doesn’t require any special drivers to work. Instead, it will use the native USB Audio drivers of the computer. I’ve checked the compatibility of the headset with Windows 10 using the Microsoft Compatibility Center . The headset is included on the list of compatible with the mentioned OS.

Perhaps the suggestions below can help you troubleshoot the issue with the headset.

• Prefer using USB 3.0 instead of USB 2.0 ports.
• Bypass any use of KVM switch boxes, USB hubs, extenders and replicators.
• Connect the headset on a different USB 2.0 port.
• Check if the headset is properly detected in Device Manager.

1. Go to Device Manager.
2. Expand «Sound, Video and Game Controllers» and check if the headset is listed. The entry name is «ClearChat Pro USB».
3. If this entry is listed, go to «Other Devices» and check if there are «Unknown USB Device» entries.
4. Right-click on the entry then select «Properties».
5. Check if there’s an error message under «General» > «Device Status».

So it seems we are at an impasse.

Microsoft sends me to the Manufacturer and the Manufacturer sends me to Microsoft.
