Настолько хорошо и замечательно работал мой iMac, что и рассказать про него особо нечего. Но с недавних пор я страдаю из-за глючного Bluetooth, поэтому делюсь своими переживаниями. Вдруг вы сталкивались с такой проблемой и поможете словом и советом.

В чём суть проблемы

Суть проблемы в том, что внезапно во время работы «отваливаются» Bluetooth-клавиатура и трекпад. Просто теряется связь на ровном месте. После этого приходится перезагружать iMac, чтобы восстановить связь. Но иногда через несколько минут, а иногда через несколько часов снова та же проблема. Чаще всего аксессуары не работают после того, как выходишь из режима сна. Странный баг. Причём он появился на ровном месте — я не ставил новые программы, не менял настройки.

Я думаю, что перепробовал всё, что мог. Первым делом я удалил клавиатуру и трекпад из списка устройств и добавил заново.

Я пробовал подключать новые аксессуары, но не помогла ни другая клавиатура, ни другой трекпад.

Ну окей, я полез за советами в интернет. Оказалось, что не я первый с такой проблемой. Я нашёл несколько рекомендаций и хочу поделиться ими.

Сброс Bluetooth

Последовательность действий должна быть такой:

1. Закрыть все приложения;
2. Зажать Shift + Alt (Option) и кликнуть на иконку Bluetooth в правом верхнем углу;
3. Выбрать Отладку;
4. Сбросить модуль Bluetooth;
5. Перезагрузить компьютер.

В теории после добавления аксессуаров по новой всё должно работать без проблем.

Удалить настройки Bluetooth

1. Открываете Finder;
2. Зажимаете Command + Shift + G;
3. Выбираете путь /Library/Preferences/;
4. Удаляете файлы «com.apple.Bluetooth.plist» и «com.apple.Bluetooth.plist.lockfile»;
5. Перезагружаете компьютер.

Опять же, после включения компа проблемы быть не должно.

Сброс настроек контроллера управления системой (SMC)

1. Выключаем компьютер;
2. На клавиатуре одновременно нажимаем кнопки Shift + Control + Option (левая) и кнопку питания;
3. Одновременно отпускаем кнопки;
4. Включаем компьютер.

А если не помогает?

Мне вышеуказанные методы не помогли. Точнее, иногда на ограниченное время я всё-таки оживлял компьютер, несколько дней система работала нормально, но потом без видимых причин я снова наступал на те же грабли.

Потом я вспомнил, что у меня iMac свежий и новый, покупал я его летом 2018 года, а значит, надо обращаться в техподдержку, пока действует гарантия.

Мне предложили два варианта, и оба меня не устраивали, потому что я не хочу настраивать систему заново, создав нового пользователя. А стирать все данные и перестанавливать macOS из-за проблем с Bluetooth — это как-то совсем кардинально.

Поэтому я хочу воспользоваться положением и обратиться к вам. Если кто знает, как избавиться от проблемы и заставить Bluetooth работать без сбоев и глюков, то прошу поделиться добрыми советами.

Решение проблемы

Во-вторых, для меня эта история оказалась со счастливым концом, глюк всё-таки поборол. Владимир, спасибо за совет!

Метод оказался неожиданным: после удаления приложения Android File Transfer компьютер снова нормально заработал. Эта софтина помогает подключать к Макам телефоны на Android и передавать данные туда-сюда. Она славится глючностью, но я не думал, что проблемы настолько глубокие, что придётся ставить на уши поддержку Apple, а заодно изливать проблему в интернет.

Пишу по поводу проблемы с iMac и Bluetooth. Модель 21.5, 2017. Ситуация точно такая же. Пропадал сигнал после режима сна — всегда и в любой момент. Это первый Mac, поэтому много читал и искал информацию, но ничего не помогало (сброс bt, перезагрузки и т. д.). Уже хотел нести его в магазин для проверки, но не мог забронировать встречу, так как ближайший магазин постоянно занят. Остальные точки довольно далеко, и без оригинальной коробки не очень хотелось ехать, живу в UK.

В итоге стал общаться с поддержкой, чтобы они мне назначили время в ближайшем магазине, но они решили предложить все те же методы, что были описаны в новости, плюс безопасный режим. Но ничего не помогло. Другой человек предложил убрать некоторые программы из автозагрузки и практически единственной у меня была Android File Transfer. Я её удалил полностью, и все, проблема пропала целиком. Колонка, клавиатура и мышь теперь работают как часы. Очень редко что-то случается, но это просто глюки bt.

Сам знаю, насколько это неудобно и бесит, поэтому, надеюсь, это поможет.

• You will need a wired keyboard to perform this reset, and the keyboard must be an Apple keyboard.

Question: Q: Mac OS Catalina keeps disconnecting bluetooth devices

Hi, I am using MacBook Pro Late 2016 model and Mac OS Catalin 10.15.2.

After the update to Mac OS Catalina, my bluetooth devices — Bose speakers, headphones, mouse keep disconnecting randomly. Even if they are connected, Mac OS is not able to find their audio output and delivers a very low sound.

As per few articles on the Internet, I have tried deleting the /Library/Preferences/com.apple.Bluetooth.plist and resetting PRAM but nothing helped. Please provide a reliable and valid solution for this issue.

PS: I have tested my bluetooth devices with other laptops / phone and they work perfectly fine.

I have the same issue with a similar machine. I have tried the same things in an attempt to stop the disconnecting. I am running 10.15.3.

Thanks for posting in the Apple Support Communities with your question about Bluetooth connectivity on your Mac. I’d be glad to assist.

The first step I would take is updating your Mac, as macOS 10.15.3 is currently the latest version available. As with most updates, I always recommend backing up prior to completing any updates. Once that is done, look over How to update the software on your Mac to finish up that step. Once you’re updated, test once more.

If the issue is still present, test in a new user account to see if the issue follows you across users or if it is user specific.

Let me know what you find out.

Sorry for the delayed response. I have updated to latest Mac OS and I just checked with a new user account and it seems to be working fine.

Please let me know a possible solution with my current user account.

So i created a new user now and moved all my files. It helped for 1-2 days than the disconnect start coming again and now i’m back to 10-20 disconnect a day. What can i do now? Is it possible to auto update only stable OS versions?

Still the same on 10.15.4 — happens 6-8 times a day. Absolutely irratating.

Only things that helps is to do a full reinstall. Don’t trust any of the tips in here non of it works. Just a default suggestion for any issue. 16 hours lost right there. Please don’t release beta software to all mac users. I buy mac for the reliability 🙂

It worked for me until I disconnected my bluetooth device. It was back to same after reconnecting it.

I have followed most posts regarding this Bluetooth disconnecting and have held off reinstalling Catalina, but looks like I need to try.

Hi, I am using a 27-inch iMac 2014 i7, and using Catalina I have noticed continuous disconnections of the bluetooth. I also tried to install an external usb-bluetooth module. No way. It disconnects randomly after a few seconds. I think I’ll be back I’ll take Catalina away. Not only that, I had to give up so many applications that are incompatible. I think I’ll take a step back. Catalina is absolutely a disaster for me.

I agree completely. I have a brand new macbook air with Catalina. The use of a bluetooth mouse is a disaster. It works, then it stops. I tried a fix I found online by deleting files in the system preferences files, and it worked flawlessly for a few hours and then failed again. WFT is wrong with Apple that they put out a new operating system with such a basic problem? I had resisted updating to Catalina on my old air, but it recently died forcing me to update to a new computer.

Please fix this in an immediate update to Catalina.

I have a brand new macbook pro 2019, and the bluetooth it keeps disconnecting every 10 minutes. APPLE please make an update or do something, it’s very important for me to use bluetooth.

Hi — can you please help with this? I’ve just purchased a new Bose Bluetooth that seemed to be working fine and all of a sudden won’t connect to my Bluetooth on my MacBook Pro.

Works fine on phones and other devices.

Have tried rebooting and reinstalling, etc. No luck.

I have a brand new 2019 Macbook Pro and my Apple magic mouse disconnects and reconnects on and off multiple times per hour, every hour, throughout the day, every day. I have to magic mice and get the same results with both. When I use them on my 2011 macbook air they work like a charm without any issues. I am thinking of buying a new magic mouse 2 in the hopes that the newer tech will give me a stable connection but I have doubts. I am now currently using a Microsoft bluetooth mouse an have not had a single loss of bluetooth connection with that but I miss the touch scroll of the apple mouse. Are you all having the disconnect issue with the MM2 as well or is it only with the orig version of mouse?

Question: Q: SOFTWARE BUG IN macOS Catalina: Bluetooth does not turn on

My mac: Macbook Pro Late 2012

macOS version: Catalina 10.15.4 (downgraded from 10.15.6)

The problem:

It shows Bluetooth is disabled with the icon greyed out and a zigzag line across which means bluetooth is unavailable.

In About Mac > System Report > Bluetooth it gives «No information found»

The whole bluetooth Preference Pane has disappeared from System Preferences.

Please go over that discussion to understand the problem better.

But with newer discoveries, I decided to create a new discussion.

I opened up my MacBook, removed the battery connection to remove and reinsert the Broadcomm Airport card. Thinking that it was a hardware problem and those steps usually fixed it for others. But no. The problem persisted in the exact same fashion.

Moreover, I have proof it is a software problem.

So let’s head back to how the problem started. I connected my bluetooth earphones but faced issues. So I turned bluetooth off. Then the «Turn Bluetooth On» button became greyed out. Bluetooth preference pane disappeared and more.

Basically that single action of turning off bluetooth triggered the software to not recognise the hardware completely.

When I finally had time to look into console and see what’s happening, I found this:

The framework WPDaemon is exclusively part of iOS13. But since Catalina I’m guessing Apple has integrated that iOS framework with macOS.

Here’s my thought process on what’s happening.

This framework must have a variable called CBCentralManager. That variable has been set to turnedOff state (maybe triggered by me turning off bluetooth?). And now that daemon is not powering on.

This has been a problem with Apple iOS developers creating bluetooth enabled applications; here’s a few forums discussing the problem:

A few other errors from above console worth noticing:

Sandbox: bluetoothd(173) deny(1) mach-lookup com.apple.server.bluetooth

Sandbox is used to restrict applications from accessing hardware in the background. I wonder what it’s doing denying permissions to core bluetooth itself? I haven’t understood anything more on this.

When I ran «sudo bluetoothd» on terminal I get the following in console:

API MISUSE: can only accept this command while in the powered on state

$ sudo bluetoothd -d

objc[4258]: Class PipeInfo is implemented in both /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/WPDaemon.framework/Versions/A/WPDaemon and /usr/sbin/bluetoothd. One of the two will be used. Which one is undefined.

[bluetoothd][netPrefChanged] ###### Sharing Dictionary doesn’t exist

My winning argument, if it was a hardware problem, I wouldn’t have gotten a message on the console saying Bluetooth MAC address updated to 44-AB-CC-DD-EE-FF. How did it recognise and update hardware if none is available?

Also Siri still does turn on and off bluetooth when I tell her to.

Anyway I’m still a fresher not even graduated college so I cannot research more extensively. This is a serious bug driving people nuts all over the forums. There are people who get it fixed by changing hardware, clean installs etc. I believe hardware is not the issue in my case. Also didn’t want to go into the whole ordeal of clean install, backing up data, installation time just to see the same error again.

Again, I’ve tried all solutions possible. Please go over my other discussion ( https://discussions.apple.com/thread/251574958 ) to look over those.

I have tried all plist solutions.

I have tried removing whole Bluetooth PAN interface and adding.

I have tried installing different versions of Catalina but nothing works.

Kindly explain what the problem is. I just want to know if my deductions are correct and it is in fact a software bug.
