Mou — все для markdown и ничего лишнего

Несмотря на то, что Mou до сих пор не вышел в финальном релизе (на момент написания — 0.8.7 beta), этот markdown-редактор весьма популярен и “шлифуется” не первый год.

В Mou собраны необходимые инструменты и функции редактирования. Часто применяемые команды доступны через меню Actions и дублирующие горячие клавиши.

Также отметим функцию preview. Она позволяет сверяться с веб-результатом, который вы получите на выходе, в реальном времени. Можно прокручивать markdown-текст слева – и он будет синхронно скроллиться с предварительным просмотром справа.

Экспортировать файл можно в локальный html-файл (как вариант, в pdf). Кроме того, можно подключить css-файл с оформлением вашей разметки. Как и в других редакторах, есть функция автосохранения, так что не нужно опасаться, что потеряете набранный текст в результате ошибки.

Другие удобные редакторские инструменты включают в себя автозаполнение, парные скобки, инкрементный поиск, подсчет слов. Все это позволяет обходиться сугубо возможностями Mou, не прибегая к другим приложениям.

Напоследок отметим лаконичную, при этом дружелюбную оболочку настольного приложения. Если вас не устраивает, как выглядит шрифт, на каком фоне отображается (подсвечивается) ваш текст в markdown-разметке — легко поменять через настройки приложения.

Ulysses — удобная работа с проектами и отличная функциональность

Ulysses заметно выделяется на фоне других markdown-редакторов для Mac OS. Инструмент придется по вкусу самым требовательным редакторам и писателям.

Прежде всего, Ulysses удобен при работе с проектами, что немаловажно, если

• у вас множество разрозненных черновиков,
• вы работаете с несколькими сразу,
• пишете книгу и нужно разбить ее по главам.

Ulysses поможет организовать файлы по разделам и структурировать по тегам. Все файлы будут храниться в библиотеке, которую, в свою очередь, можно синхронизировать через облако с другими iOS/Mac OS-устройствами. Если нужно что-то найти в архиве, достаточно применить фильтры или поисковую строку.

Второй немаловажный аспект – фокусировка на редактировании. Как и все приложения, Ulysses работает в полноэкранном режиме, плюс есть подсветка текущего абзаца и, аналогично Byword, режим набора Typewriter.

Редактор поддерживает расширенную markdown-разметку, следственно, вы можете вставлять в документ сноски, изображения, ссылки и даже таблицы. Работать с markdown в Ulysses удобно и потому, что все можете настроить на свой вкус — поменять шрифты, выбирать темы оформления и цветовые схемы из списка.

Напоследок – о функциях сохранения в Ulysses: это публикация на блог-платформы Medium и WordPress, а также экспорт в локальный файл (в txt, html, pdf, epub, docx).

Byword – облачная синхронизация и экспорт в блоги

Byword – простой текстовый редактор с поддержкой расширенной markdown-разметки (куда, например, входят сноски и таблицы).

Главная особенность Byword – режим distraction free. В меню View можно активировать Paragraph / Line Focus. Редактор действительно не отвлекает внимание пользователя, отчасти благодаря минимализму. Однако, в отличие от подобных решений, вроде iA Writer, он не столь консервативен и позволяет менять фон (светлый/темный) и шрифт на свое усмотрение.

Как и прочие редакторы, Byword укомплектован стандартным набором text manipulation functions. При работе с текстом используются горячие клавиши, плюс в определенные моменты Byword предлагает syntax auto-completion, что очень удобно и ненавязчиво. При вставке выражений также можно использовать меню редактора.

Экспорт доступен в форматах PDF, HTML, RTF, Word и Latex. Прежде чем сохранять документ, можно ознакомиться с превью, нажав Option + CMD + P .

Одна из полезных функций веб-редактирования – отправка постов в Сеть по нажатию кнопки Publish. В Byword можно подключить веб-сервисы Medium, Tumblr, Blogger и Evernote.

iA Writer – наведение порядка в электронной библиотеке

iA Writer доступен для iOS/MacOS/Android. Поддерживает расширенный синтаксис MultiMarkdown, а этого более чем достаточно при форматировании, подготовке текста к онлайн-публикации.

В iA Writer есть различные способы наведения порядка, редактор удобно использовать для создания проектов, написания книг. Что именно предлагает приложение:

• Удобная система хранения Document Library.
• В 4-й версии редактора появились функция Content Blocks – вставка картинок, добавление разделов прямо в markdown-текст.
• Для оптимизации работы можно использовать шаблоны.

Синхронизация с другими устройствами реализована через Dropbox и Google Drive. Это предполагает надежное хранение резервных копий. Вдобавок, на обоих сервисах есть возможность отката до предыдущей версии.

Что касается функций публикации, то iA Writer поддерживает три популярных формата экспорта: HTML, Word docx и pdf. Можно подключить кросспостинг в CMS или в Medium.

What is MacDown?

MacDown is an open source Markdown editor for macOS, released under the MIT License. It is heavily influenced by Chen Luo’s Mou. This is how it looks:

Why Another Markdown Editor?

I like Mou. I write Markdown all the time, and since I use macOS on a daily basis, Mou is my go-to editor whenever I wish to generate something with markup. But I had always wanted something more.

It came as a great shock when Chen Luo announced that he felt he could not actively continue the development, and wished to sell the ownership of Mou. No suitable offers surfaced (I honestly do not think there will be, either), and I decided that instead of waiting for others to do something about this, I should act myself.

I don’t have nearly enough money to match Chen Luo’s purposed offer, but I do have my own pocket of tricks and some free time. So I started from scratch, spent some weekends hacking together my own solution. And this is the result.

What’s in the Box?

MacDown is heavily influenced by Mou, and I try to mimic much of its behaviour as much as possible both in UI and the logic underneath, only making changes when I feel that improvement is necessary. Highlights include:

• Highly customisable Markdown rendering.
