MinGW

MinGW — это программный набор инструментов для создания дополнений, ранее известный как mingw32. С помощью ПО можно разрабатывать приложения под Виндовс. Программа состоит из компилятора порта ССС (GNUCompilerCollection) и набора библиотек под свободной лицензией для Виндовс API. На этой странице можно скачать последнюю версию МinGW.

Обзор программы

Команда проекта предоставляет пользователям следующие компоненты:

• доппакеты — порты GNUtoolchain, которые управляются из командной строки Виндовс или интегрируются в IDE;
• MSYS (MinimalSYStem) — порты win32, представляющие собой лёгкую оболочку Unix с rxvt и инструментами POSIX для работы со скриптами autoconf;
• заголовочные файлы Win32 и одноименные для библиотек импорта.

Для установки ПО первым шагом надо бесплатно скачать МinGW на ПК, выбрав путь без пробелов. Рекомендуется назначить корень диска, например С:\ХХХ\MinGW. Ярлык в пусковом меню создавайте по желанию или отмените операцию, выставив галочку рядом с Don’tcreate a StartMenu folder.

Вам понадобятся пакеты:

• MSYS BasicSystem;
• C Compiler;
• MinGW DeveloperToolKit;
• C++Compiler.

После подтверждения установки появится окно с отображением прогресса скачивания. Нужно следить, чтобы не было ошибок — при недоступности тех или иных ресурсов установку придётся повторить позже.

Теперь добавьте путь до директории C:\ХХХ\MinGW\bin в переменную PATH:

• кликните правой клавишей мышки ярлык Компьютер;
• нажмите «Свойства»;
• далее «Доппараметры системы» и «Переменные среды»;
• найдите Path, дважды нажмите, чтобы вызвать окно редактирования.

Добавьте путь до директории \bin, в нашем условном случае это будет C:\ХХХ\MinGW\bin с разделением путей через «;». На этом этапе завершается установка MinGW и оболочки. Для дополнительных пакетов рекомендуется назначить ярлычки.

Используйте набор команд mingw-get install+msys-man/msys-wget/msys-zip/msys-unzip/msys-bzip2/msys-perl, где базовая команда mingw-get install относится к аналогу вида apt-get install под дистрибутивы Linux.

Перечень других дополнительных пакетов вызывается mingw-get show, удаление ненужного пакета mingw-get remove+удаляемые файлы. Для удобной работы рекомендуются утилиты консольного редактора vim или более привычного многим юзерам Notepad++. Архивацию и распаковку проводите с 7-zip.

How To install MinGW on Windows 10 (GCC & G++)

MinGW, a contraction of “Minimalist GNU for Windows”, is a minimalist development environment for native Microsoft Windows applications.

Downloading MinGW

1. open http://www.mingw.org/
2. Click Download Button as shown in the picture below.

3. As soon as you click download button on mingw website The following page will open in your browser (from the SourceForge.net web site).

4. The following exe file will be downloaded with the name mingw-get-setup.exe

5. Click mingw-get-setup.exe

6. Click install

7. Click continue

8. Click continue

9. The following pop-up window will appear. Pleas make sure that you selected all the check-boxes. e.g. mingw32-base, mingw32-gcc=g++, msys-base and so on.

10. Click on Installation > Apply Changes as shown in the picture below.

11. wait for the process to complete. once you see successful installation message close the window. Click Close.

12. Now we will set environment variable to use gcc and g++ command from terminal.

Windows 10 and Windows 8

1. In Search, search for and then select: System (Control Panel)
2. Click the Advanced system settings link.

• Click Environment Variables. In the section System Variables, find the PATH environment variable and select it. Click Edit. If the PATH environment variable does not exist, click New .

• In the Edit System Variable (or New System Variable) window, specify the value of the PATH environment variable.
• Copy C:\MinGW\bin .
• Click OK.
• Close all remaining windows by clicking OK.

• Reopen Command prompt window, and type gcc . if you see the following output as shown in the picture below the mingw is installed successfully.

Where is the «make».

don’t even think about downloading this! I did and it is totally worthless! iutjj does nothing

THAT NOT SUPPORT MY LAPTOP 64 BIT .PLESE DO NOT INSTALL.IT IS VIRUS FOR WINDOWS 10.

I’ve been using this compiler for quite some time and it’s great. However, I am facing problems during installation on a new PC. The download of files is EXTREMELY slow and suddenly the installation fails. This issue has been reported by others already. As this issue is not related at all with the functionality of the package I give them 5 stars expecting to have a solution as soon as possible. UPDATE: I found the solution: Go to the «Problems Downloading» button when downloading the files and change the mirror to a closer location. Strangely, I live in the UK and the German server was not working properly. Selected the server from France and it downloaded lighting-fast! Unzipped the file to my selected folder and voila. Worked. Hope this helps

The installer not download the files of MinGW yet. I Tried 3 times (3 weeks), but the problem persist!

The only easy and intuitive to install GNU compiler collection for Windows

It gets the job done for university projects

This is out of date, and the tutorials available on the internet are so conflicting. Manually renaming files, an installation for windows where the messages ask us to enter a windows folder using the Unix slash (/), then the folder is not found even though it exists, a total mess. Broken links in perhaps official pages, total confusion and installation nightmare, perhaps due to a not well maintained project. I’m doing all this cause I want to have the GMP libraries on my computer, but oh boy, program installations are supposed to be fully automated and simple.
