Мне срочно нужен файл MSCOMCTL.OCX

Мне на моём Windows 8.1 НЕРЕАЛЬНО срочно нужно открыть одну программу, но при запуске такая ошибочка:

Я перечитал всё в интернете, прописывал команду REGSVR32 MSCOMCTL.OCX, но у меня ни в одной папке на диске C:/ файла MSCOMCTL.OCX нет. Я пробовал найти готовый файл в интернете, но он там только для Windows XP. Пробовал ставить visual basic, но он несовместим, конечно же.

Посоветуйте ЛЮБОЙ способ запуска программы! (но только чур windows на другую версию я переустанавливать не буду)

У меня только к Вам один запоздалый вопрос — что за редакция у Вас ОС ? И почему он отсутствует ?

Всё, что мне нужно — это готовый файл MSCOMCTL.OCX для windows 8.1, для того что бы его поместить в SysWOW64 и спокойно запустить прогу.

Вопрос в том, что на моём компьютере отсутсвует эта библиотека, котороя нужна большинству программ.

Если в Windows 8.1 вообще такого файла нет, уведомите меня об этом. Лучше горькая правда, чем сладкая ложь.

Странно, учитывая, что на компе нет програм, файл есть. Потом посмотрю откуда он у меня. Спросите у модератора форума законно ли это (я не силён в таких вопросах) и если он даст положительный ответ, я Вам его вышлю.

Не думаю, что это будет каким то нарушением лицензионного соглашения, поэтому Вы можете его выложить, но лучше сделайте это на OneDrive.

Автору вопроса лучше всего читать информацию на сайтах, с которых он скачивает программы.

В большом количестве случаев на них описаны ошибки, которые могут возникать при запуске программы и способы их устранения.

Возможно, Ваш файл и не поможет по каким то причинам. Автору вопроса необходимо попробовать поместить данный файл в папку с программой, которая его требует.

Сам файл данный не входит в состав ОС, он поставляется вместе с конкретной программой, для работы которой он необходим.

We are working to bring a 64bit version of the MSCOMCTL control to Office ProPlus. This updated 64bit DLL will be available to ProPlus customers in an update later this year.

I have MSCOMCTL file version 6.1.98.39 that seems to work, with Office 365/2016. However it looks like it is dated 2015-02-27. Does that seem correct? The About Excel says Microsoft Office 365 ProPlus and has a version number of 1808 (Build 10730.20264 Click-to-Run).

Well it looks like the physical file being used is in C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\root\vfs\System\MSCOMCTL.OCX and is versioned 7.0.52.6282, even though when I look at tools->references in the Access programming interface it says the file is in C:\WINDOWS\system32\MSCOMCTL.OCX, and I can browse to it from the tools->references Browse dialog. However, when I actually look in C:\WINDOWS\system32\ from WINDOWS Explorer, the file MSCOMCTL.OCX is not physically there.

Can Microsoft explain the registry voodoo that’s going on here? I searched the the registry for «C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\root\vfs\System\MSCOMCTL.OCX» but didn’t find it.

I installed Office Pro Plus 2019 (64Bit). It provided me MSCOMCTL.OCX (64 bit version 7.0.55.3227 found at «C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\root\vfs\System»

I am in Excel — Developer — Visual Basic environment. (Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications 7.1)

I could not get the Microsoft Windows Common Controls 7.0 loaded.

Copied this MSCOMCTL.OCX file to C:\Windows\SysWOW64

Opened Command Prompt as Administrator

and I am unable to register using RegSvr32 «C:\Windows\SysWOW64\MSCOMCTL.OCX» on Windows 10 Enterprise.

RegSvr32 reports an error:

«The module «MSCOMCTL.OCX» was loaded but the call to DllRegisterServer failed with error code 0x80004005.»

Could you provide some assistance how can I get «Microsoft Windows Common Controls 7.0» loaded in a «Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications 7.1» environment.

Company is in progress of instaling Office 365 Proplus and it prefer 64-bit version. I have corected with preprocessor command API declaration and declaration in codes wich reference this declaration and it work ok. In Access application I’m using treeview control from MSCOMCTL.OCX. and this version has 64-bit version of it. It is strang that MSCOMCTL.OCX is in office folder but is showb in c:\windows\system32 where it does’nt exists.

In code all work fine. class object can be declared and use and control fill with data and are shown, but one it is run all event (mousemove, nodeclick. ) throw error that control canot laod active X. As I mention data are shown in tree.

I have tried to deregister and register control with regsvr32 but in this case I get 800004005 error. Help because I need that control to work in 64-bit Access too.

MSCOMCTL.OCX is an ActiveX control file that’s a part of the antiquated Visual Basic 6.0. However, older software might still need the MSCOMCTL.OCX file. Thus, some users have stated that an MSCOMCTL.OCX error message pops up when they try to run some of their software in Windows. That error message states, “Component ‘MSCOMCTL.OCX’ or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid.”

Users can’t run the required software when the above error message pops up. It means that the required MSCOMCTL.OCX file for the software isn’t registered or is missing. It will most likely be missing in the most recent Windows platforms. At any rate, users need to register an MSCOMCTL.OCX file with the Microsoft Register Server command-line utility to fix the issue, which is the confirmed resolution for the error message.

This is How Users can Fix the MSCOMCTL.OCX is Missing Error

1. Check the Desktop’s or Laptop’s System Details

1. First, users should check whether their laptops or desktops are 32 or 64-bit systems as the directory users need to register the MSCOMCTL.OCX file for is not the same for both. To do so, press the Windows key + S hotkey.
2. Enter the keyword ‘system information’ in the search box.
3. Click System Information to open the window in the shot directly below.
4. Then select System Summary, and check the System Type detail there. An x64 system type is a 64-bit system.

2. Register the MSCOMCTL.OCX File on 64-bit Systems

Users with 64-bit desktops or laptops will need to register an MSCOMCTL.OCX file for the SysWOW 64-bit folder. To do so, open File Explorer with the Windows key + E hotkey. Then open this folder path in File Explorer: C:WindowsSysWOW64.

The SysWOW64 folder will need to include the MSCOMCTL.OCX file. If it doesn’t, users will need to get that MSCOMCTL file from an OCX file directory or by copying it from another PC. However, note that some website sources for OCX files might not be entirely reputable. Some users might find an MSCOMCTL.OCX file in a third-party software folder so tries searching for the file with Windows’ search utility first. When you’ve copied a valid MSCOMCTL.OCX file into the SysWOW64 folder, follow the guidelines below to register the file.

1. Press the Windows key + R hotkey.
2. Enter ‘cmd’ in Run, and press the Ctrl + Shift + Enter hotkey, which will open an elevated Command Prompt window.
3. Next, open the SysWOW64 folder by entering ‘cd C:WindowsSysWOW64’ in the Command Prompt’s window and press Return.
4. Then input ‘regsvr32 mscomctl.ocx’ in the Prompt, and press the Enter key.

3. Register the MSCOMCTL.OCX File on 32-bit Systems

Users with a 32-bit system will need to check that there’s an MSCOMCTL.OCX file in the cd C:WindowsSystem32 folder instead of SysWOW64. Copy an MSCOMCTL.OCX file into System32 if that folder doesn’t include the required file. In addition, 32-bit system users will need to enter cd C:WindowsSystem32 in an elevated Command Prompt. However, users can still register the file with the same ‘regsvr32 mscomctl.ocx’ command.

4. Reinstall the Software

Aside from registering the OCX file, users have also confirmed they’ve fixed the MSCOMCTL.OCX error by reinstalling the software that doesn’t run. That will ensure the software installs correctly. Users can reinstall the software in Windows as follows.

1. Open the Run window with the Windows key + R keyboard shortcut.
2. Input ‘appwiz.cpl’ in Run and click OK to open Windows’ uninstaller.
3. Select the software that the MSCOMCTL.OCX error arises for.
4. Select Uninstall or Uninstall/Change option.
5. Then click Yes to confirm.
6. Restart Windows before reinstalling the software.
7. Then reinstall the latest version of the software.

So, that’s how users can fix the MSCOMCTL.OCX error message in Windows to kick-start certain software. First, try reinstalling the software as that’s probably the more straightforward resolution.
