Достойная альтернатива Logitech MX Master 3?
Поработал определенное время с мышью MX Master 2s и понял, что мне не нравится колесо. Обычный скролл по одному шагу на нем не удобен по сравнению с самой дешевой проводной Logitech.
Попробовал в магазине MX Master 3, колесо, вроде, работает приятнее, да еще и боковые кнопки переделали. Думаю заменить 2s на 3.
Есть ли еще хорошие варианты, стоящие рассмотрения? Нужна беспроводная мышь для работы. Бюджет до 100€.

Программы для симуляций (типа CAD) и визуализации данных, браузер, код (в основном с клавиатуры, но иногда и мышью что-то быстрее сделать).
Активно использую все имеющиеся кнопки и колеса на MX 2s кроме «кнопки для жестов», которая под Linux не функциональна.
Тут сириус бизьнись, у нас бюджет сто евробаксов, а ты тут со своими 300р, ну!
Бессмысленный вопрос. Пльтернатив огромное количество, а что вам понравится — заочно угадать затруднительно. У меня Logitech MX Master 2s и дома, и на работе, всем устраивает. Но могли бы быть какие-нибудь другме и тоже устраивать.

Схема работы колеса на 2s и 3 идентичная. Ощущения отличаются.
Чушь. Длительность работы от батареек сильно зависит от модели мыши. Но в MX Maser 2S она не такая маленькая чтобы доставлять неудобство. Не измерял, но явно больше месяца. И во время заряжания можно пользоваться. Так что самое большее, чтотгрозит при разряжении — придётся воткнуть провод.
До дыр уже стёрлась logitec mx revolution, 12 лет мышке, не знаю на что менять.

Нужно читать описание. Для большинства логитековских мышей заявлено 2 года.
И да, воткнуть провод это очень неприятно, если у тебя ноутбук. Лишний провод — лишний гемор. Еще смешнее если используешь мышь и клаву с планшетом/телефоном. Куда там втыкать зарядку?

Странно. Мне казалось магниты только в 3-й версии появились.

В 3-й версии колёсико фиксируется магнитами, а не трещёткой. Из-за чего ощущения очень необычные, по сравнению с обычными мышками.
В таком случае в 2s магнитов нет, но то, что я сказал, всё равно выполняется.

Не все на работе программируют. Есть ещё 3D, CAD, фотография, дизайн, где без манипулятора делать нечего.

Да. Про кнопку забыл. Но если раньше кнопка отводила трещётку, то теперь отключает питание от магнитов. И в режим кинетической прокрутки теперь можно перейти просто сильно крутонув колёсико, без нажатия кнопки. В общем вещь.

Нет, речь шла про кинетическое колёсико. Отождествил магнитный механизм с автоматическим переключением режимов именно ты.

В 3-й версии колёсико фиксируется магнитами, а не трещёткой. Из-за чего ощущения очень необычные, по сравнению с обычными мышками.
Я демонтировал трещётку со своей мыши и считаю что так намного удобнее, надо, поворачиваешь колесо на крохотное расстояние, надо крутанул и смотришь как перематывается страница.
В общем фиксатор колёсика надо просто удалять, он просто снижает удобство пользования мышью.
А чем не угодили Logitech трекболы?
Нет колеса прокрутки иисредней клавиши.
По мне так трекболл вообще более напрягающая вещь, хотя играть в шутер на нём реально.
И ещё, как его не чисти, а он очень быстро набирает грязь и становится вязким.
Но у него есть большое достоинство, его ненадо премещать и по этому им можно пользоваться даже на захламлённом столе.

MX Master 3 Linux Support
The MX Master 3 is advertised as supporting LInux (for instance, on the box) but some features seem to require the Logitech Options software for which I do not see a Linux option. It seems odd to me to advertise Linux support and then have support software that’s only available on Windows and MacOS. Is there an alternative?

Regarding the Logitech Options Software, apparently there are still no available release that will be compatible with Linux OS. We have already raised this concern to our team. logitec please provide full support for the big linux dist, at list for product hows market is heavy use of linux OS
+1. If you say these are for developers but you don’t support Linux you are wrong. Developers need Linux support. Flow and Options. I have told several people that these are not devices for developers because they don’t support the operating systems that developers use. I will continue to correct your misinformation until you either stop saying «for developers» or fully support Linux.
Love the devices, but please keep your promise and ACTUALLY support developers. Make Flow for Linux!
+1 I can even understand, that some company makes a decision to not support some product even if I don’t agree with the decision itself but state, that something is supported and then completely ignore it in support, documentation and with some of the declared features not working is beyond, what I expected from such a respectful company like Logitech. This is, what I take as, politely expressed, very unfair.
+1 Any update on this? I just got this mouse on the premise that it had Linux support, only to find out that — outside of some very basic functionality — this wasn’t the case. Marketing this device as «for coders» and *explicitly* stating that it’s Linux-compatible seems a little deceptive to me.
Another +1 for proper Linux support. Appreciate the level of functionality that is there out of the box. but the same level of support that exists for Windows and macOS was expected when it was advertised as «Windows | Mac | Linux» on the box.

Havig product description stating MX Keys supports Linux «MX Keys works with Windows, Mac, Linux®1 iOS and Android™ operating systems.» and finally reading the required Logitech Flow-enabled mouse and Logitech Options software is supported on Windows and Mac only is simply a marketing lie.
How can it be possible to advise a product for coding in 2020 and no have it Linux compatible ! Wake up Logitech ! And I am a swiss citizen supposed to be proud of this company.
Nowhere dit it say on Best Buy’s website or the Logitech Mx 3 master box that this wasn’t really supported to work on Linux. I bought this to be able to use the “customization options.” My mx3 is supposed to be delivered Monday 6/8. I wish I would have found this post 2 days ago, would have saved me 100 bucks. Seems like false advertising to me.. I’ll give piper a try but likely going to return this for something that gives actual support.

I do use Logiops and I appreciate it, but Logiops doesn’t enable Flow compatibility which is what I really wanted the mouse for.

Any update on Linux? Still hope that they’ll release Options software soon but it looks like dead end. No updates from team. Looks like nobody in management is interested in launching this product for Linux — based systems.
The very misleading advertising is an ugly stain on the reputation of Logitech. If there is no intention to release the software, these very misleading statements should be removed from Logitech’s advertising.
Actually one should settle a class action lawsuit for all the people who got betrayed by false advertising.

You should fix this. That is just not only a little badie thats actually really bad, to promote a mouse to work in linux and than you miss the features the mouse promotes itself with.
And its not like its just a mouse for 20 bucks people, we talk about real money (for a mouse . ) the same goes for the mx keys and mx craft keyboards.

If I buy a mouse that says » ‘FLOW’ technology, seamlessly go with your mouse from one desktop to another».
and the box says its ok for linux EVERYBODY would expect that darn 100somethingBucks-mouse to work in linux and offer its FLOW functionality also for LINUX .
I really hope you understand what that means, because people are begging you for this since about a year, and nothing is happening except some daemon that you can configure with a crappy json file.

I’ve not owned a logitech product since around 2000.
Today I’ve found the MX Master 3 on a local retailer and boutght it as I thougt that the additional functions are great and on its box it states that works on Linux.
When connected to my linux computer it works, but misses all the additional functions as there is no version of the logitech software.
I am very disappointed, logitech always had good products at high prices, and I wanted the additional functions on my linux PC. If logitech continues to not support the linux users, I am sure that my next input device will not be from this brand and will go to a cheaper one as there are no benefits from getting logitech as linux user.
