NaViSet Administrator 2™

Control, monitor and manage your display and projector settings in an all in one support system with NaViSet Administrator 2™. This software package provides unified control and asset management across product lines through an intuitive graphical user interface and allows for settings to be updated, tasks to be queried and reports to be generated using RS-232 or TCP/IP communication for large screen displays and projectors or DDC/CI protocol for desktop units.

SpectraViewII™

SpectraViewII™ software allows users to calibrate the brightness, white point and luminance curves to defined industry standards or to customized settings, creating the ultimate in color workflow flexibility. The result is a highly accurate, reliable, repeatable, and feature rich display calibration and profiling solution. This easy-to-use software is perfect for color-critical applications such as computer graphics, digital animation, medical imaging, pre-press production and film, video and photo editing studios.

MultiProfiler

MultiProfiler is designed as a companion to NEC MultiSync® PA Series monitors. It gives you complete control over much of the powerful and sophisticated technology in these models in an easy-to-use application. MultiProfiler works directly with the SpectraView Engine in the PA Series monitors, factory calibration data and internal sensors to achieve high levels of color accuracy and adjustability.

Display Wall Calibrator

Designed for fast and accurate color matching of multiple displays used in a video wall application, Display Wall Calibrator works with NEC’s award-winning display technology using a color measurement sensor and sophisticated calibration software. The solution automatically adjusts multiple displays used in a video wall so that the color characteristics closely match, thereby creating the visual illusion of a single large display.

PD Comms Tool

NEC PD Comms Tool (NEC Public Display Communications Tool) is a software application that can be used to configure, control, and test supported NEC large screen LCD display models via either RS232 or LAN connections. It can also be used to assist with developing and debugging external control systems by showing the communications protocol for commands exchanged between the software and displays.

NEC Display Firmware Update Tool

The NEC Display Firmware Update Tool is a utility to assist with updating the firmware in large-screen NEC LCD displays and some models of desktop NEC LCD displays.

Overview

NaViSet Administrator is a network based control and asset management system for NEC display monitors and projectors.

With NaViSet Administrator you can:

• Automatically monitor the operational states and control settings of your NEC equipment.
• Send automatic email alerts of abnormal conditions such as overheating, cooling fan failure, and diagnostics errors.
• Access and adjust the numerous control settings of your NEC devices using interfaces similar to that of their On Screen Displays and remote control units.
• Monitor the operational states of both Windows-based computers connected to your network and single-board computers installed in your NEC displays.
• Create detailed reports of device assets, operational states and control settings and export them to popular spreadsheet formats.

Operating Environment

Standard TCP/IP LAN interface. Static IP addresses required for most displays connected directly to LAN, unless name resolution (hostname) support is provided.

System Resources

At least 64MB available hard-disk space for installation.
Approximately 50MB per 100 devices hard-disk space required for database storage.
At least 96MB RAM (192MB recommended).

Software

Adobe Reader X or higher is recommended for viewing the User’s Guide.
Microsoft Excel or Apple Numbers for viewing output spreadsheets.

About NaViSet

NaViSet Interactive Display Settings Control provides access to display monitor adjustment controls via an easy to use, intuitive software interface.

NaViSet uses a two way communications link with the display monitor via the video graphics adapter and normal video cable. No extra cables are necessary. Special support is required in the video graphics display driver in order to provide this functionality.

This communications link is called DDC/CI (Display Data Channel — Command Interface) and is an industry standard developed by VESA (Video Electronics Standards Association)

Using NaViSet

This version of NaViSet can be accessed from the Start menu > NEC Display Solutions > NaViSet.

Supported Video Graphics Card Drivers

It is necessary to install the latest drivers for the video graphics adapter card. The video drivers included «in the box» with Windows will need to be updated with the full video driver packages available from the video graphics adapter card vendor.
