Thank you very much, works great on my netMD mz-n505!

Perfect runs all my Net MDs except AIWA AM-NX9 any support for this model coming?

Thanks. Confirming that it also works with Sony MZ-N10 on Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit!

Confirming this works amazingly! Thank you so much!

Downloaded NetMD MZ-RH1 and later (HiMD)FOR MY MZ-N1.

Using Vista 64 bit
Have folowed the sugesrted steps to install the 64 bit driver.
Unsuccessful install of the driver.

Running Sonic stage also crashes computer.

Users using the Windows Vista (64 bit) need the Sony SonicStage CP 4.3 installed, can be downloaded on: Sony SonicStage CP 4.3. This is the most stable version of SonicStage and can be used by Windows 7 (64 bit) users too. You need to be online to prevent the program from crashing.

THANK YOU SO MUCH. This is amazing! I never thought I’d be able to use this device again!

Thanks for your effort but it doesn’t work with MDS-JE780 on Win 7pro X64 🙁

With «Online» I mean that you need to be connected to the Internet. If you are not connected to the Internet and you start Sonic Stage it sometimes get you an error about the music library and then it start to run the File Conversion Tool from Sonic Stage and after conforming it, the program shuts down. If you are connected to the Internet you will be able to open Sonic Stage without an error. It’s an common error because the library sometimes need to be on the Internet to check it’s license.

Thanks, been waiting ages for Sony to release a working Windows 7 x64 driver and now I can use my MZ-N1 without any problems! 🙂

Just downloaded the NetMD MZ-RH1 driver — works perfectly with my MZ-N510 on Windows 7 Ultimate. Lifesaver!

works perfect in my MZ-RH910. FANTASTIC

Have had no success with Sony MZ-N910 on Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit on 2 different machines. Driver can be installed manually but the device gives a code 10 cannot start response.

Very disapointing, every time I try to install the driver it says «the hash for the file is not present in the specified catalog file. The file is likely corrupt or the victim of tampering. I have tried downloading several time always ends the same, any help will be appreciated.

Tried to post this before but does not appear to work, can’t install driver, get message,» the hash for the file is not present in the specified catalog file. The file is likely corrupt or the victim of tampering.» Have tried several downloads. all the same. Any help appreciated.

Sony MZ-RH1-Windows 8. Can’t install driver, get message,» the hash for the file is not present in the specified catalog file. The file is likely corrupt or the victim of tampering.» Have tried several downloads. all the same. Need help, thanks in advance!

Do you haver drivers for the MZ-N501?

Same situation, same message, like before me.

NET MD WİNDOWS 7 USB DRIVER

Doesn’t work, the hash file isn’t present

Having the same missing hash file message. This is on Windows 10 64 bit

I have successfully installed the drivers into Win10 64bit, you have to disable the driver signing check. That is the message about the missing hash file. I followed the instructions on howtogeek. Sonic stage recognises the MD player and the tracks on the discs.

so thankfull this links already working 6 years later

I am using windows 7 and followed the directions and I was able to access my device. thank you very much. I had to get sonic stage 4.3 from first then used your driver.

Thank you. Mine worked after I disabled the Windows 10 Driver Signing mode. Thanks to Andrew Corden for the tip!

I too successfully running SonicStage 4.3 and the NETMD Driver following this

Works well if you are brave enough to jump through the hoops with Windows 10 Pro

I have a Sharp IM-DR420H(s). Does anyone have the drivers for windows 10?

Basically I want to get the music I have on my old minidiscs.

I am at a loss: I have Win10 64 bit, downloaded the «NetMD MZ-RH1 and later (HiMD)» for a Sony/Aiwa AM-NX9. I have disabeled secure boot in the BIOS and activated Testmodus (shown at bottom right of screen).
But when updateing the driver on the Net MD device, I continue to get the error: Device can not be installed; driver can not be found.
The Folder contains

OK, tried again of different PC also with WIN10, but now did de Boot Secure disable and Disable signature through restart (instead of bcdedit). Now the driver can indeed be loaded with warning.
And then the infamous DRM kicked in: I can not upload from my Net MD (AIWA AM-NX9) to my PC (which is probably the 3rd after the original PC with. Had all forgotten about that
So, either via headphones, or download all that music from the internet.

Have tried installing the driver — dowmloaded from you as above — but «windows encountered a problem installing —«
Driver details Explanation note says «Sony driver not digitally signed»
Any solution ?

My computer is 64bit Windows 7 profesional
Thanks

You need to install the unsigned driver, Windows 10 does not like you doing that but it can be done, see this page for three ways to instal the driver: https://www.maketecheasier.com/install-unsigned-drivers-windows10/
Make a note of how you install the driver as Win 10 will keep un-installing it when it installs updates. I am just happy, NetMD support has given my 2nd pc, win7 32 bit and not upgradeable, an excuse to be kept and not binned!

Any of this work for mz n510?

someone has could work MZ n710 driver on windows 10 pro 64bits?

Hi when i try to install the driver it says error the hash was tampered with

Thank you. My sony MZ N910 worked after I disabled the Windows 10 Driver Signing mode.
Thanks to Andrew Corden for the tip!
and thanks Smart IDEAs tell disabled driver singing mode

When I went to update the driver, it told me «the hash for the file was not present» and was likely «corrupt or the victim of tampering». Anything I could do?

Please help me. I need drive for sony Net MD CMT-M333NT

I faced the same issue within the Windows 10 (64bit) environment. All you have to do is download a copy of above mentioned drivers and save it as unzipped in any of your drive (say c:\).

Now, Go to windows advance startup option and selection option: Disable driver signature enforcement.

Restart your system, and install the drivers by going device manager and update drivers —> Browse my computer for drivers —> drivers location (as example c:\). Locate the drivers and Boom!

Try it! It works for sure!

Hi there, do you have win10 driver for Sony CMT-SE7? Many thanks.

Okay so I had all sorts of trouble but I figured it out using the instructions from the Unknown comment on 10.1.19. It was about installing unsigned drivers. Worked like a charm and im transferring my first disc now!

Net md walkman driver windows 10

Don’t panic. We can fix it! All you have to do is download the 64 bit NetMD driver and follow the tutorial below.

But first, some explanation why your NetMD device doesn’t work.
The problem is that there is no 64bit driver available for the USB connection between your NetMD and your computer running Windows 64 bit.

Windows 7 Pro users can switch to XP mode but that’s not the shortest way to use your NetMD. Windows 7 premium users can’t even switch their system in to XP mode. So that’s very sad for all these MiniDisc lovers among us. Yes many people still love the excellent audio quality of MiniDisc’s and the ease of use of it. Yes MiniDisc’s are a thing from the past (from around the millennium) but where very popular and so, just like the Audio Cassette, they are still used by many.

If you love your MiniDiscs and you can’t connect your PC to it, well than you have a major problem.
HiMD seems to have no problem connecting to a 64 bit PC, at least if you use the HiMD mode. If you want to transfer music in early standards like MD and NetMD it needs 32 bit (x86) support on your 64 bit system.

There was no supported driver for 64 bit systems for so far .
. UNTIL NOW!

Yes we can resolve all these problems. We have the solution for these problem. A 64 Bit driver for the NetMD standard!

Just follow these steps to get your MiniDisc back to work under a Windows 64 bit system:

1. Make sure you installed Sonic Stage 4.3 on your Windows 64 bit system.
2. Download the NetMD USB-Driver for Windows 7 (64 bit) or Vista (64 bit).
If none of these drivers work for you, please try Sony’s Personal Audio Driver.
3. Unpack the zip-file with the drivers to a folder .
You can do this with programs like: WinZIP or WinRAR or 7zip or even the Windows Explorer.
4. Go to the Device Management section on your computer.
5. Go to Universal USB, Right click on NetMD (flagged with a red ‘ ! ‘ ) and update drivers.
6. Browse my computer for driver software.
7. Go to the unpacked folder where you unpacked the ZIP-file.
8. Follow the rest of the procedure.
9. Restart your computer.
10. If you now open Sonic Stage 4.3, after restarting your computer, you will see that you are now can make a connection with your NetMD.

Problem Fixed with this NetMD (Net MD) driver for Windows 7 64 bit!

This works for Sony NetMD players and Sony HiMD players.

Windows 7 pro 64 bit users don’t need to go in XP mode to get their NetMD to work.

Supported Operation Systems to run the NetMD driver on:
Windows Vista 64 bit
Windows 7 64 bit
Windows 8 64 bit
Windows 8.1 64 bit
Windows 10 64 bit

If you still have problems for some MiniDisc products you’re welcome to write a comment, we will answer as soon as possible.
