Cleaning Car Windows

Yanno, I’ve always heard it’s so awesome for cleaning windows, but whenever I’ve tried it it’s really sucked! The best advice I have on car windows is to use regular glass cleaner with a lint-free microfiber cloth designed for window use (you can get them at Target or wherever in the cleaning supplies aisle).

Actually, though, my favorite glass cleaner is a solution of 1/2 water and 1/2 green rubbing alcohol. I learned that trick when I worked for a clothes store in college and they used that to get their dressing room mirrors perfect.

And make sure you clean your car windows out of sunlight; the heat from the sunlight makes the cleaner dry too fast and leave streaks.

Once you have tinted windows on your car, home, or office, you can no longer clean them with the regular Windex that you have for years. You MUST NOT use window cleaner with ammonia! Ammonia is actually the chemical window tinting shops use to remove film! Try to find the non-ammonia Windex, or any alcohol based window cleaner will do well also.

Can I use newspaper on my car windows?

I have heard of vinegar too. My inside window is streaky and has a film on it. I do not smoke. Any ideas? What is the ratio is using vinegar or baking soda? Thanks

Yes! Newspapers work really good and leave no streaks but I just clean with water or windex.

Never tried it on the car but vinegar and water with newspaper is great on glass so I can’t see why you can’t do it on your car as well. I put about half a cup of vinegar into about 2 pints of warm water (I use whatever vinegar is to hand) clean the windows with this solution and then wipe it off and polish it with newspaper. The vinegar cuts any grease on the glass. Newsprint makes your hands a bit messy but the windows come up a treat.

News papers are good to wash windows in cars too!

I only mix baking soda with vinegar to inflate balloons on a pop bottle.

There is no point in trying unless you know the main cause. If it is a manufacturing fault, no one could help. Again, any abrasive touch or similar touches could spoil it. If the film is felt and if you feel it could be removed, just understand one principle- if it is oil(vegetable/fat) removable by organic stuff. But if it is caused by other oils(Non-edible) then it can be removed only by synthetic detergents like Ariel/surf. After which a wash by Lemon would give a good smell.

That is all I use to clean my car windows! I also use them on my house windows and mirror’s. The best liquid to use is a small squirt of dish soap (that contains NO bleach) in a spray bottle of water. shake well and use.

If you want to install and use the Racing Post Newspaper app on your PC or Mac, you will need to download and install a Desktop App emulator for your computer. We have worked diligently to help you understand how to use this app for your computer in 4 simple steps below:

Step 1: Download an Android emulator for PC and Mac

Follow the on screen directives in order to install the application properly.
If you do the above correctly, the Emulator app will be successfully installed.

Now, open the Emulator application you have installed and look for its search bar. Once you found it, type Racing Post Newspaper in the search bar and press Search.
