Good day! I’m Raniel, an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft user like you.
Kindly refer to the steps on this article on how to troubleshoot blue screen errors on your machine:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/14238/.
I also suggest to perform the steps provided by Greg Carmack — Windows MVP 2010-20 on this thread with a similar issue that you’re experiencing and see if it fixes your issue with random restarts on your machine: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/for.
I hope this helps.

A window 10 driver «npsvctrig»
I have daily crashes (Event ID:41). Always right before the crash, I have an Event ID: 6 about a driver «npsvctrig» which means «Net Pipe Service Trigger». Does anyone know what this is, what it does and how to fix it?

Here are the possible causes for the blue screen error:
- Faulty hardware
- Corrupted software/driver
- Software conflicts
For us to isolate the issue, were there any changes made to your computer prior to this issue(e.g. Windows update)?
In the meantime, we suggest booting your computer in Safe Mode to check if the default settings and basic device drivers are not causing the issue.
For more information and troubleshooting steps for the event IDs, please check the useful links below:
We’re looking forward to your reply.

My computer underwent a fairly major update but I can’t locate the date. Since then I always get an Event ID: 6 npsvctrig (Named Pipe Services Trigger)1 second before crash and then Event ID: 172 and 508 immediately after the Event ID: 41. I know npsvctrig is a driver in C:\windows\system 32|drivers and is a .sys file driver. I cannot find any information about this driver. The computer never writes a crash dump so I can’t troubleshoot with a debugger. And Reliability Monitor reveals nothing to my untrained eye. The computer used to BSOD instantly but now black screens for about 30 seconds and then shuts down.
If I have a hardware problem it doesn’t show in the PC tools diagnostics built into windows. Disk drives show ok in Device Manager and Crystal Disk. My usb drive runs warm at times (air flow temp 54 degrees C max).
I have performed numerous clean boots to no avail. Any ideas?
npsvctrig potentially crashing my computer
Hello for about on mouth ago my pc started to have random reboots. I’ve delt with this in the past but the problem ended up solving by it self now its doesn’t seems to be the same.
— Gigabyte b450 Elite
— SKILL SNIPER X 16GB
— Corsair corsair vs650
Event Viewer(Buttom to up):
— The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly.
— File System Filter ‘npsvctrig’ (10.0, 1977-09-12T16:19:34.000000000Z) has successfully loaded and registered with Filter Manager.
— File System Filter ‘FileCrypt’ (10.0, 2011-10-30T16:56:49.000000000Z) has successfully loaded and registered with Filter Manager.
— Volume C: (\Device\HarddiskVolume6) is healthy. No action is needed.
— File System Filter ‘Wof’ (10.0, 2096-10-27T14:24:16.000000000Z) has successfully loaded and registered with Filter Manager.
— File System Filter ‘FileInfo’ (10.0, 1989-07-13T02:15:12.000000000Z) has successfully loaded and registered with Filter Manager.
— File System Filter ‘FACEIT’ (10.0, 2020-04-24T22:13:15.000000000Z) has successfully loaded and registered with Filter Manager.
What I’ve tried so far:
— Bought new CPU, MOBO and ram(was already planning on upgrading from a really old one).
— Disk and Ram Check — No failures.
— Corrupted Files — None founded.
— Clean Windows 10 installation
— Windows 10 Debloateloader
— Stress test the GPU, CPU and both with OCCT and my psu was able to handle it.
Since I bought the new parts its been really more stable but the problem continues I’ve searched in a variety of foruns threads for solutions but it seems that no one have a clear solution.
What else can I do to troubleshoot my problem?
Sorry for any grammaly mistakes english isn’t my first language.

I’m Paul, a fellow customer like you & an Independent Advisor. I’d be glad to investigate this further for you. Kindly send me the data below to begin the analysis.
1. Mini Dump or Dump file
In File Explorer, go to C:\Windows\Minidump & copy/paste to your Desktop. If it’s not there, you may copy/paste the C:\Windows\Memory.dmp instead. However, we recommend the minidumps first.
2. MSinfo32 file
Go to Start > search/open MSinfo32 > Click File > click Save to your Desktop
3. Export the Speccy file from this tool below to your Desktop.
