Драйвер NVIDIA 8400M для Sony Vaio под Windows 7 (x64)
Очень необычный (смело можно сказать) глюк со стороны ноутбуков Sony Vaio. Даже зная конкретную модель видеокарты, ты все равно не можешь найти и установить драйвер, потому что система ругается, что драйвер не подходит (хотя модель видеокарты 100% совпадает и разрядность системы тоже). Качаешь с официального сайта Nvidia — а не подходит. Делаешь обновление Windows — драйвер не находится. Даже Windows 10 поставил — всё равно не находит драйверов. Прям беда какая-то.
И что с этим делать — совсем непонятно. Несколько дней ломал голову. а решение как всегда оказалось простым и логичным. Подсмотрел его в Буржунете. Итак.
Наше проблемное устройство идентифицируется как:
Она же — самая простая и обычная видюха Nvidia GeForce 8400M GT.
Проблема с драйвером под Windows 7 (64 разрядную) решается легко и просто — нужно найти драйвера для этой карты, которые адаптированы под Windows Vista (x64)! Вот кто бы знал?!
Ведь этот же драйвер, но под Windows 7 с официального сайта Нвидиа — не подходит!
На всякий случай я сохранил ссылку именно на исходники от Sony и скачать можно по прямой ссылке:
Устанавливать драйвер рекомендую через «Диспетчер устройств» и далее «Обновить драйвер» у видеокарты, а не напрямую (напрямую ведет себя странно).
Обращаю ваше внимание, что прямая ссылка со временем может перестать работать. Тогда можно найти решение двумя способами:
1. Пойти на сайт Nvidia и скачать драйвера для карты 840M, но под Windows Vista (64).
2. Найти на сайте Sony Vaio конкретное обновление с названием EP0000146244
После такого случая и такой головоломки продукцию SONY стал любить ещё меньше 🙂
Я не ставлю никакие официальные драйвера от SONY, потому что с ними ноутбук начинает жутко тупить и подвисать. Всё только напрямую (в том числе рекомендую так поступить и с указанной видеокартой).
