Запускаем Internet Explorer под Mac OS X

Всем привет! Хочу поделиться ответом на вопрос, который в свое время сам задавал на различных конференциях, как только обзавелся макинтошем. К сожалению, компания Microsoft давно уже перестала заниматься поддержкой своего любимого браузера под платформу Mac, поэтому для этой ОС существует IE только старой версии — 5. Более поздних версий уже не выпускалось и для разработчиков стало проблемой запустить последние версии IE на макинтоше. Как запустить Internet Explorer на машине с установленной Mac OS X,

Самый простой способ это сделать — скачать и установить дистрибутив VMWare Fusion, после чего поставить на него Windows XP, для которого существует такой софт, как IE Tester. Эта замечательная программка разработана специально для Windows и содержит в себе сразу несколько версий нашего «любимого» Internet Explorer — 5.5/6/7/8. Также, вы можете использовать Parallels или Bootcamp. Для того, чтобы воспользоваться этими виртуалками, ваш макинтош должен быть на Intel-платформе. Если это не так, то есть еще один способ — ies4osx, который запускается под Darwine (это программа, позволяющая запускать софт для семейства Windows не запуская саму операционную систему).

Если вы знаете еще какие-то способы — пишите, с удовольствием добавлю.

UPD. еще можно проверить сайт в IE (да и в других браузерах тоже) в он-лайн сервисах, таких как — browsershots.org и ipinfo.info/netrenderer (если нужен только IE, то отдаю предпочтение последнему ресурсу, для остальных браузеров — первый ресурс)

UPD. народ, вы если минусуете — объясняйте хотя бы почему. Может надо дополнить еще или подправить? Зачем минусовать, не объясняя. Если вы не пользуетесь Mac’ом — зачем ставить минус?

После загрузки веб-сайта на ваш жесткий диск, вы сможете просматривать его не подключаясь к сети Интернет, да и сама загрузка страниц будет происходить значительно быстрее, ведь Интернет иногда может медленно работать, могут быть просто различные перебои и так далее, скачать Offline Explorer можно как всегда в полной новости. Обратите внимание, что просматривать сайты вы сможете как на своем компьютере так и давать к ним доступ пользователям вашей локальной сети, именно для этого внутрь разработки был встроен собственный HTTP-сервер.

После того как вы запустите Offline Explorer, вам надо будет создать проект, учтите, что его размеры могут быть практически неограниченны, что конечно большой плюс. При создании проекта надо указать его имя, выбрать глубину сканирования ссылок, можно настроить фильтры на загрузку определенных форматов, допустим всех картинок или HTML страниц. Вообще всяких настроек связанных с загрузкой достаточно много, например можно выставить время, то есть вы даете час программе, чтобы она загрузки какой-то проект, не укладывается, загрузка прекращается, можно создать ключевые слова для проектов.

Offline Explorer умеет загружать файлы по размеру, допустим вы не хотите, чтобы программа скачивала файлы больше 10 мегабайт, не забываем это указать в настройках при создании проекта, теперь такие файлы будут игнорироваться, вы сможете сэкономить трафик и место. Программа имеет собственного просмотрщика загруженных проектов, в нем легко разобраться и легко передвигаться. Интерфейс в целом удобен, переведен частично, все опции программы, настройки проекта переведены полностью, а вот меню верхнее и подменю не особо, может я просто не разобрался в чем-то и где-то можно выставить более полноценный Русский язык, в любом случае работать в Offline Explorer от этого не сложно.

Обратите внимание, что данный продукт цениться пользователями, его можно купить почти за 600 долларов, а значит он действительно должен работать на все сто процентов, но в этом убедится можете вы сами, я ручаться не берусь. Вроде все, больше добавить про Offline Explorer нечего, удобная программа, довольно долго на рынке, много хороших отзывов, есть и негативные конечно, работать в ней приятно и просто, в общем удачи всем в загрузки!

END USER LICENSE AGREEMENT

MetaProducts Systems («MPS») agrees to provide the user («USER») with a copy of this software product («SOFTWARE»), and grants the USER a limited license to use the SOFTWARE. LICENSE OF UNREGISTERED SOFTWARE
