И снова я меняю редактор для набора текста. На этот раз на всем известный IA Writer. Я и раньше им пользовался, но только сейчас вошёл во вкус. Изучил все его возможности и теперь он для меня очень удобен.

У него простой интерфейс, полная поддержка маркдауна. В нём удобно фокусироваться на тексте.

Как я работаю

Пишу и храню статьи в txt. Когда пишу, проставляю не только названия разделов, но и прописываю в комментариях о чём буду писать. Так как особого тега комментария в маркдауне нет, то использую хтмл . Чтобы каждый раз не вводить, прописал в автозамене. Ввожу кком , который заменяется тегом комментария.

В IA Writer есть своя автозамена: метаданные.

Они прописываются перед заголовком. Сначала указываете ключ, к которому будете обращаться. Обязательно на английском. Дальше через двоеточие указываете данные, которые будут вставляться. Author: Антон Маслак .

Для использования подстановки, напишите в квадратных скобках знак процента и название ключа. [%Key] . В панели просмотра вместо этого будут выведены данные. В качестве данных можно использовать не только отдельные слова и фразы, но и объёмные тексты.

I write more frequently because of this app.

I basically threw my money at the computer as soon as I saw a desktop version of iA Writer existed. The iOS version had already captured me, and being able to move between phone and computer was just what I needed. Every feature is built for writers, from easy and beautiful PDF exports to cloud storage to starting with a blank document ready as soon as the program opens. My favorite way to use it is in full-screen mode with Night Mode turned on, nothing but my words in white on a dark screen. I use iA Writer every day, and I’d go so far as to say that it’s made me a more productive writer, just because it has simplified the writing process for me so effectively. (It’s also been good to see it improve over time with smart and continuous updates, and my one and only request for support was answered quickly and solved easily.)

In short: I write more now that I have iA Writer on my machine, and I have never used a more elegant writing app. I’d give it 10 stars if I could.

I remember I’ve been using iA Writer on iOS since version 1, and if my memory serves me well, it was perhaps first of a kind writing app back then; as other reviewers here, I immediately liked the «no fuss» approach, clean interface and attention to detail. All similar writing tools that started to appear later just didn’t have this feeling of «rightness» for me.

Getting an OS X version made my life even better. This is pretty much my only writing app where I keep notes, technical docs, essays, whatever. With hashtags and library toolbar you can even use it for your Zettelkasten if you fancy. My only wish is extension of smart folder functionality with various filters. Maybe one day? 😉

Seeing the continuing improvement of iA Writer by developers simply brings me joy. Much love and thank you for your dedication. I mean, where else do you get people making a custom (and good!) font for their editor?

One of my favorite apps for any writing

This app is awesome and has only gotten better. It works as a notes app OR as a serious writing app. I mean, I’ll shift to Word before prepping something for like a serious submission, but besides that, I’m here if I can be here. It’s clean and works well. I prefer it to Ulysses because I just want to write without a lot of fuss. iA saves files as .txt so you can grab them easily and open them anywhere. You can easily sort your stuff into folders or use tags for sorting. Overall this app is deceptive— it looks like it doesn’t do much, but it actually low key does everything that you need. I have a degree in creative writing (and I mean have been writing since I was kid) and also am a nascent app developer these days— & from both perspectives I’m impressed with iA. If you need a clean app for writing and taking notes, here you go. I use it daily and it never disappoints.

Но столкнулся с серьёзным для меня недостатком. Я пользуюсь этим редактором на ноутбуке, планшете, телефоне. Между мобильными устройствами синхронизация в полном порядке. А синхронизация между мобильными устройствами и ноутбуком работает у меня как-то в одну сторону. Если пишешь на ноуте, изменения быстро попадают на мобильные устр-ва. А вот наоборот — хоть ты что делай, ни в какую. Так и не понял, как поправить ситуацию. Сносил приложение на ноуте, смотрел настройки iCloud — всё без толку. Не знаю, на чьей стороне проблема, но жить мешает сильно.

. а потом перенастроил синхронизацию с iCloud’a в Dropbox и всё заработало как надо. 🙂
Изменил оценку с трёх звёзд до пяти, т.к., видимо, тут не только в разработчиках этой программы дело. Ответить

Ideas Notes Edit — только в pro версии.
В этой же dthcbb даже нет возможности увеличить шрифт или выделить цветом.
Просто белый экран, как печатный лист и клавиши.
Возможно, супер профи авторам, которые пишут «с листа» и отлично, но вот новичкам, с кучей заметок и прочего — не подходит абсолютно.

С комментарием, что текст в ней набирать приятно — согласна. Но это не стоит этих денег. Ответить

Тщательно подобраны фон, шрифт, ширина колонки и даже цвет курсора.
Для очень больших текстов, конечно, будет не хватать навигации, но для небольших и средних — самое то.

hammill84 , 28 мая 2014 в 11:29:52 # Все отлично. Но при ресайзе и перемещении окна заметны косяки с отрисовкой — все подтормаживает и мышка тянет уже не за угол окна, а за середину и т. д.

Заголовки 2-го и 3-го уровней выглядят точно так же, как и первого (полужирное начертание шрифта), то есть только по количеству октобанов (знак в виде решетки) можно понять, какой это уровень. Также нет курсива, а есть подчеркивания, не думаю, что Шпикерман это одобрил. Ответить

/Library/Application Support и перезагрузить компьютер. Вот так на всех Mac я ежедневно удаляю по несколько раза за день эту папку и перезагружаю компьютеры. Я так понял, что программа разработчиком заброшена и баги никто исправлять не собирается. Все усилия обращены на новое детище разработчика — Writer Pro, а на пользователей наплевать.

romanyakimovich , 24 мая 2014 в 08:33:29 # Отличный инструмент, который не встает у тебя на пути, когда пишешь или редактируешь тексты. Формат markdown подтакливает к структурированию текста. Через время я заметил, что iA Writer заменил не только мой предыдущий текстовый редактор, но и аутлайнер (до этого для работы с иерархическими списками я пользовался Scribe).

В процессе активного использования столкнулся с одной проблемой, которая чуть не стала причиной отказа от редактора. Встроенный стиль для экспорта markdown-документа в другие форматы мне не нравился, я купил Marked, который это делает гораздо лучше. Но вложенные списки, оформленные в стиле iA Writer:
— First
— First 1
— First 2

Marked не понимал.

Для решения этой проблемы используйте следующий формат:
— First
….- First 1
….- First 2

Т.е. вложенные элементы отделяются 4 пробелами (здесь пробелы показны точками, т.к. Аппстор не показывает лидирующие пробелы) и используют один минус (звездочку и т.д.), как и первый уровень списка.

Позволяет концентрироваться именно на тексте, а не на его форматировании. Ничего раздражающего: ни автоформата, ни скрытых символов. Позволяет просто писать тексты и ни на что не отвлекаться.
Теперь сначала пишу тексты в iaWriter, потом уже переношу в веб или в Word.

Использую более полугода. Не пожалел ни разу. Ответить
