И так для того что бы восстановить пароль к openfire необходимо:

1. зайти в админку phpmyadmin
2. зайти в базу openfire
3. выполнить код mysql

1. ну а теперь заходим в админку и проверяем пароль.
2. Радуемся жизни 🙂

Тут как на зло месяц спустя по своей не аккуратности забыл восстановленный пароль и решил его по моей же инструкции восстановить, но ни чего не получилось. Но я нашел еще один способ как можно попасть в админку: для этого надо сделать следующее:

1. зайти в PhpMyAdmin
2. и выполнить данный скрипт

INSERT INTO ofUser (username, plainPassword, name, email, creationDate, modificationDate) VALUES (‘admin1’, ‘admin1’, ‘Administrato1r’, ‘admin@example.com’, ‘0’, ‘0’);

Тут просто создается в базе логин admin1 с паролем admin1 . Как вариант пойдет, потому как Вы зайдете в админку под новым логином и сбросите пароль на openfire основного логина admin.

2) По конфигурационному файлу узнаем с какими портами для доступа в Административную часть можно работать:

далее в этом конфигурационном файле будет отображено как работает openfire по части базы:

И так он работает с внешней базой развернутой на этом хосте где и само приложение, также известно что база именуется, как db_openfire — что это уже что-то, а это имя класса по работе с базой

2) Далее я бы советовал сделать бекап всей базы на случай если не правильно произойдет процедура сброса/изменения пароля:

$ sudo mysqldump -u root -p712mbddr@ db_openfire > db_openfire.sql

$ ls -lh db_openfire.sql

-rw-rw-r— 1 ekzorchik ekzorchik 39K Dec 7 06:48 db_openfire.sql

А в дополнение желательно на тестовой площадке конкретно для этой установленной версии openfire проработать шаги по восстановлению из бекапа:

Посмотреть структуру таблицы:

Работает, а по другому и быть не может это ведь отрепетированные шаги по обслуживанию своего настроенного. Теперь мне не страшны сотрудники которые как бы выразиться по корректнее — «Не надежны», главное что если они и сделаю пакость, я смогу восстановить из бекапа либо сбросить пароль на административную учетную запись. Только вот бекап нужно делать в два различных места. И раз в неделю проверять его работоспособность на восстановление, резервная копия без уверенности что она рабочая это всего лишь мнимая уверенность. Ну вот случилось, забыл пароль админа от консоли Oprenfire через вебморду попасть не получается, чего делать.
погуглил немного как сбросить пароль администратора, чего нашел — помогло.

Предположим имя администратора как и у меня admin.

Под Windows при конфигурации Openfire с Embedded базой сама база лежит в . \openfire\embedded-db

Останавливаем сервер и правим в текстовом редакторе файл openfire.script

Находим строку вида INSERT INTO OFUSER VALUES(‘admin’,NULL,’dn8669C8s’.
и меняем на INSERT INTO OFUSER VALUES(‘admin’,’ новый_пароль ‘, NULL .

т.е. прописываем некриптованный пароль, а на место криптованного прописываем NULL

добавил через запятую ещё одного юзера

и после перезапуска успешно зашёл под ним в админку 🙂
