There appears to be some kind of problem during the boot process, where the
system may be looking for a network system to boot from; however this is not
certain and just a guess. If your MacBook/Air is stuck on that screen, you may
force shut down the computer by holding power key for 15+ seconds.
This ^ could be tried more than once, because all keys need to be held properly
and let go correctly. The Mac can be let chime three times before they’re let go.
Another startup item to try, is to hold Opt key to see if you could get your Mac
to look for another startup disc; perhaps it lost its way and cannot find the HDD
where the internal system lives. Or, that system (or hard drive) has issues.
Another item, with the computer shut down, is a restart in Safe mode. You’d have
to wait awhile and eventually hope to sign-in (admin password) to get Safe boot
and then you may use the regular Disk Utility to repair disk permissions, or look
around (it will try to repair the system somewhat by simply using Safe mode ) then
to get out of Safe mode, you simply (try) a normal re-start.

like it online, even by use of ‘image search’ in google.
Perhaps nobody has
posted a like image, or just maybe the search engines don’t like ‘helping’ us.
Hopefully someone whose actual or other experience has seen this & knows
how to get past it, will offer their ideas on how to recover from this. And what
you may have going on in your MacBook Air + macOS X that caused it. The
globe icon usually implies a network outside the Mac. This may imply an error
in finding an internal system. — Or a hardware failure that would need a repair.
There may be a terminal command to reboot, if you could start in single-user
or other command-line access and enter the proper code. I’ve seldom ever
used the underpinnings of OS X to resolve issues; haven’t needed to so far.

Question: Q: MacBook Pro dead — ‘-3001F’ error
I have managed to total delete my disc content (I believe!) & when I reboot all I get it an exclamation mark with apple.com/support & -3001F. nothing else.
Is there anything I can do or do I need to contact support?

yhk1038 — It is the same thing for me. I try to connect to the internet with command r, and then right after that it shows me the globe. I choose the internet, and then the 3001F appears. Any suggestions?

Although pushed the keys CMD+OPTION+R / CMD+R, I can’t enter this Utility dialog. My MacBook display only just app.com/support -3001F error.
So, I tried verbose mode by cmd+v, there is only question mark folder not verbose mode, any other mode with known key set return same result.
Why I got fail? Can I solve this problem myself?

Make certain that you have a good Internet connection and boot your machine from Apple’s servers by holding down the command, option and R keys whilst booting. It will take awhile, but you’ll soon see a globe on your screen and you’ll finally see the Internet Recovery window:
Select Disk Utility and erase and reformat your drive. Then select «Reinstall Mac OS X» — it will take a while as all of this is going on via the Internet.
Call back if you can’t get that far.

Question: Q: Error 3001f on startup
So I tried to factory reset my macbook pro 2016 today, and after deleting the old mac OS in the recovery, I restarted my macbook because my wifi didn’t seem to work and thought that might fix it.
However , I couldn’t restart into recovery anymore and it just shows me a spinning globe, followed by an exclamation mark saying error 3001f , do any of you know a fix to this? I can’t even select a wifi network to boot from 🙁

If you can’t start up from macOS Recovery
Newer Mac computers and some older Mac computers automatically try to start up from macOS Recovery over the Internet when unable to start up from the built-in recovery system. When that happens, you see a spinning globe instead of an Apple logo during startup. To manually start up from macOS Recovery over the Internet, press and hold Option-Command-R or Shift-Option-Command-R at startup. Learn more about these key combinations.
If you still can’t start up from macOS Recovery, you might need to reinstall macOS after starting up from another disk or volume, or by using a bootable installer.
macOS Recovery over the Internet, the Reinstall macOS utility, and the Get Help Online utility all require an Internet connection. If you need to connect to a Wi-Fi network, move your pointer to the top of the screen, then choose a network from the Wi-Fi menu in the menu bar.

Question: Q: Error code -3001F when connecting to WiFi after a full wipe of OS
I needed to wipe my MacBook, and followed the instructions to do so- restart the MacBook, hold Command+R, erase the Hard Drive, and reinstall MacOS. Now everytime I turn the computer on, and hold Command+R, I am prompted to connect to WiFi, and when I do so, I am stopped by «apple.com.support -3001F».
Is there any way to get past this and reinstall MacOS successfully?

In Internet Recovery, these low negative thousands error messages indicate that your provided Wi-Fi Network is inadequate in some fashion, and cannot be used (for this purpose) in its current state.
Common problems include:
required use of a proxy server to get Internet access
required use of a login page to get Internet access
Use of a login server or certificate to get Internet access
Use of PPPoE in the Mac to get Internet access (typically only applies to DSL)
Use of Fixed IP address rather than good old DHCP
Variance of the time by more than five minutes
Failure of Router to provide workable DNS server addresses, or providing 0.0.0.0 [may produce -2002f]
If you have an Ethernet port, you may in some cases be able to move your Mac close to the Router and connect to the Router using Ethernet.
The higher the number, the more obscure the problem.

What machine do you have? The default should be for command-R at power on to connect to a recovery partition on your boot drive, but sometimes it’s not there or otherwise is not booting. It’s also possible to go directly to Internet recovery with option-command-R or shift-option-command-R, which differ in which version of MacOS is made available. The first option gives the latest version that works with a particular machine, while the latter gives the oldest version that Apple still has on its server.
It was mentioned why WiFi wouldn’t work. If it’s really, really slow it just times out. Often it’s because a «splash screen» is needed, such as a «Get connected» click requirement at a restaurant or cafe. A WiFi security password is fine, and it will prompt for the password. My preference is to use wired ethernet, which can be done with an adapter if your Mac doesn’t have an ethernet port built in.
Another way would be to use a bootable installer, which could be done on a USB flash drive or even an external hard drive. You would need access to a Mac to do it. It has a lot of little steps including use of terminal command lines.
