[Mac OS X] Замена клавиш PageDown и PageUP

Следующий короткий совет.

Совет предназначен пользователям, недавно перешедшим на использование MacBook-ов и iMac-ов с беспроводными клавиатурами, на которых нет некоторых клавиш, привычных по обычным PC-клавиатурам, в том числе PageUp и PageDown.

Все очень просто. Есть пара вариантов.

Первый

Сочетание клавиши Fn + Стрелка вверх (Стрелка вниз).

Второй

Во многих приложениях OS X, например, Safari, Mail, Просмотр и некоторых других, постраничное листание в окне приложения вы можете осуществлять клавишей Пробел — вместо PageDown и сочетанием Shift + Пробел — вместо PageUp.

Как использовать Page Down и Page Up на Mac

Не все клавиатуры выглядят одинаково. Существуют полные клавиатуры, эргономичные клавиатуры, клавиатуры с различными расположениями клавиш и другие. Для людей, которые много серфят в интернете или которым нужно быстро перемещаться по страницам, кнопки Page Up и Page Down являются жизненно необходимыми. На большинстве стандартных клавиатур Apple в ноутбуках и компьютерах Mac клавиши Page Up и Page Down отсутствуют. Но это не значит вы не можете использовать функции этих клавиш.

Как использовать Page Down и Page Up на Mac

Хоть вы и не найдете клавиши Page Up или Page Down, но вы можете использовать клавишу FN вместе со стрелкой вверх или вниз, чтобы получить функционал кнопок Page Up и Page Down.

FN используется для вызова функций, и наиболее часто используется в сочетании с клавишами F1-F12. По умолчанию клавиши F1-F12 работают только в комбинации с кнопкой FN. Это сделано для того, чтобы Dashboard и регулятор громкости работал без необходимости удерживания клавиши FN. Тем не менее, если вы бывший пользователей ПК, или просто хотите использовать клавиши F1-F12 как на обычной клавиатуре, то можете включить эту опцию в настройках системы.

Зайдите в Системные настройки>Клавиатура, и поставьте галочку «Использ. клавиши «F1», «F2» и др. как стандартные функциональные клавиши«

Там же можно настроить сочетания клавиш, которые будут работать. Вы можете изменить функции клавиш F1-F12 на вкладке «Сочетания клавиш«. Нажмите на клавишу, которую вы хотите изменить ( например ^ F7) и установите новое значение.

Create a backup

Make sure that you have a current backup of your important files. Learn how to back up your Mac.

Sign out of iTunes in macOS Mojave or earlier

If you’re using macOS Mojave or earlier, open iTunes. From the menu bar at the top of the screen or iTunes window, choose Account > Authorizations > Deauthorize This Computer. Then enter your Apple ID and password and click Deauthorize.

Sign out of iCloud

If you’re using macOS Catalina or later, choose Apple menu  > System Preferences, then click Apple ID. Select Overview in the sidebar, then click Sign Out.

If you’re using macOS Mojave or earlier, choose Apple menu  > System Preferences, click iCloud, then click Sign Out.

You will be asked whether to keep a copy of your iCloud data on this Mac. You can click Keep a Copy, because you’re erasing your Mac later. Your iCloud data remains in iCloud and on any other devices that are signed in to iCloud with your Apple ID.

Sign out of iMessage

If you’re using OS X Mountain Lion or later, open the Messages app, then choose Messages > Preferences from the menu bar. Click iMessage, then click Sign Out.

Reset NVRAM

Shut down your Mac, then turn it on and immediately press and hold these four keys together: Option, Command, P, and R. Release the keys after about 20 seconds. This clears user settings from memory and restores certain security features that might have been altered.

Optional: Unpair Bluetooth devices that you’re keeping

If your Mac is paired with a Bluetooth keyboard, mouse, trackpad, or other Bluetooth device that you plan to keep, you can unpair it. This optional step prevents accidental input when the Mac and device have separate owners but remain in Bluetooth range of each other.

If you’re unpairing Bluetooth input devices from a desktop computer such as an iMac, Mac mini, or Mac Pro, you must plug in a USB keyboard and mouse to complete the remaining steps in this article.

To unpair a Bluetooth device, choose Apple menu  > System Preferences, then click Bluetooth. Move your pointer over the device that you want to unpair, then click the remove (x) button next to the device name.

Erase your hard drive and reinstall macOS

The best way to restore your Mac to factory settings is to erase your hard drive and reinstall macOS.

After macOS installation is complete, the Mac restarts to a setup assistant that asks you to choose a country or region. To leave the Mac in an out-of-box state, don’t continue setup. Instead, press Command-Q to shut down the Mac. When the new owner turns on the Mac, the setup assistant guides them through the setup process.

How to use Page Down and Page Up on a Mac?

Not all keyboards look the same. There are full keyboards, ergonomic keyboards, keyboards with different key arrangements, and others. For people who surf a lot on the Internet or who need to quickly navigate through the pages, the “Page Up” and “Page Down” buttons are vital.

Most of the standard Apple keyboards on laptops and Macs have no “Page Up” and “Page Down” keys. But this does not mean you can not use the functions of these keys.

How to Use Arrows on a Mac more Effectively

Although you will not find the “Page Up” or “Page Down” keys, you can use the FN key along with the up or down arrow to get the functionality of the Page Up and Page Down buttons.

Fn + Up/Down Arrow

The fn (“function”) key on modern Apple keyboards is in the lower left corner. If you hold it down and then click on the up arrow, the open page (for example, in the browser) will go up by flipping through the visible part of the screen for each press, in the same way as by pressing “Page Up”.

A page down effect can be achieved on the same principle. Hold “fn” and click on the down arrow.

The method works on all Apple keyboards – both on portable (Apple Wireless Keyboard) and full-size (wired MB110 with digital block). On the MB110 there are special keys “Page Up” and “Page Down”, but the combination “fn” + “Arrow” will work there.

Fn + Right/Left Arrow

Bonus: In case you need to be instantly at the top or bottom of the page, use the “fn” + “Left Arrow” and “fn” + “Right Arrow” keys, respectively.

Space

In the browser, it is very easy to achieve “Page Down” functionality. Just press the spacebar on the keyboard and the open page will go down.

Not everyone knows that with a space (as well as another key) you can call the Page Up effect. To do this in Safari, Chrome or Firefox, just hold down the Shift key on the keyboard and press the spacebar.
