Missing Base System Device Driver

My HP Prolient DL360 G7 Server has 4 HDD but when booted it shows only Disk 0 When I goto Computer Management, Device Manager I get Missing Base system Device Driver message. Any help? Which driver to install? Or what could be the issue if not the missing drivers.

You need the HP ProLiant ILO 3 Management Controller driver.

I’m having the same issue on an HP DL380 G7. I cannot find a driver for this device. I have 3 other DL380 G7 servers but pointing the driver update to them still doesn’t find a driver.

The links above also do not bring you to a download site and the HP website does NOT list drivers for this model for some reason?

I need a link to the software as even entering the serial number of the server brings no results on HP’s website.

Any help would be appreciated.

resonding to TOM, 2017,. no OS stated, but I will assume win sever 2008 or 12.

posted to consumer side not HPE enterprise side.

most of G7 , some are not old at all G7

needs service contract $$$$$$$$$$$

99% of HP links now are dead, sad no? (i guess they fired the dead links guy)

some things are still free for G7 and on the HPE site finding them is hard. google site: searches, might work.

btw, mines missing to, in Winsev.2012r2.

ok found it, its maked as X64, and winserver 2012 too. ill try it.. now.. OK IT WORKS ! SUPER A FREE DRIVER

The dropdown didn’t have Server 2016 as a choice, but that’s what we’re running.

You’ll have to try the newest ones there are. Try manually installing the driver if the auto install doesn’t work.

For the 3307 device, I have zipped up and attached the file you need below.

I’m running Server 2016, and the installer said it was only good for 2008 to 2012 R2.

Sorry that they didn’t work, but try this.

I have taken the actual device driver files out of the exe package, bypassing the gatekeeper, zipped them up and attached them below.

The first attached file is for the 3306 ID.

Download and unzip the files to their folder.

Do not do anything with the files in the folder.

Go to the device manager, click on the 3306 device needing the driver.

Click on the driver tab. Click on Update Driver.

Select the Browse my computer for driver software option, and browse to the driver folder you unzipped.

Make sure the Include Subfolders box is checked and see if the driver installs that way.

Then do the same thing for the 3307 ID, which I have attached second.

Restart the PC after you install both drivers.

If that doesn’t work either, I suggest you post your issue on the HPE community support forum — proliant servers section.

I have a ML350 Gen 8 and have just installed windows server 2012.

Base system device driver not found.

I have a Base System Driver AND Ethernet Controller «missing». I have an ASUS 64-bit Windows 7 laptop. I looked for the Hardware ID but it wasn’t under details of the driver. Both say «The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)» under their status. Please help I don’t know too much about drivers

You don’t look under the driver details tab.

You look under the device details tab.

Just follow the guide below on how to get to the ID’s.

This will work for Vista, W7 and W8.

For XP, you just click on the Details tab.

I can tell you that a Base System Device is normally a card reader, so go to your PC’s support and driver page and download and install the card reader driver.

Of course, the ethernet controller is the wired network adapter but I would have no clue what driver you need unless I can decode the hardware ID for it.

HP ProLiant ML350 G6: Настройка iLO на Windows Server 2016.

Относительно недавно попал мне в руки брендовый сервер HP ProLiant ML350 G6 с утерянными данными для подключения к iLO. (Integrated Lights-Out — механизм управления серверами в условиях отсутствия физического доступа к ним.). Сервер находится в другом городе, поэтому доступ к iLO очень актуален. Как же хорошо что у HP есть утилита, которая позволяет изменить настройки Integrated Lights-Out из-под хостовой ОС без знания логина и пароля. Операционка на сервере относительно свежая — Windows Server 2016, но драйверы почему-то автоматом не нашла. Пришлось ставить руками.

1. Устанавливаем драйвера.

Подключившись по RDP, ваш покорный слуга обнаружил два устройства без драйверов.

Устройство номер раз.

Имя: «Основное системное устройство.» (Base System Device)

ID: PCI\VEN_0E11&DEV_B204&SUBSYS_3305103C&REV_03

Это интерфейс управления iLO ( HP ProLiant Integrated Lights-Out Management Interface). На сайте HP драйверы на него есть только для Windows Server 2008 R2 и ниже, но вручную их можно установить и на Windows Server 2016. Скачать их можно отсюда или с сайта hp.

Устройство номер два.

Имя: «Интерфейс IPMI» ( IPMI Interface)

ID: PCI\VEN_103C&DEV_3302&SUBSYS_3305103C&REV_00

Это интерфейс управления iLO 2 (HP ProLiant iLO 2 Management Controller). Ситуация с драйвером аналогичная. Скачиваем отсюда или с сайта hp и устанавливаем ручками.

2. Устанавливаем утилиту для настройки.

Версия 4.0 лежит здесь или на сайте hp. Запускаем жмем install.

Есть версии новее, но просто кнопкой инстал они устанавливаться отказались, пришлось открывать установочный файл архиватором и устанавливать msi-пакет. Радикальных отличий в разных версиях ваш покорный слуга не заметил.

3. Настраиваем.

Запускаем утилитку Пуск —> HP System Tools —> HP Lights-Out Online Configuration Utility —> HP Lights-Out Online Configuration Utility.exe

Настройки сети Network —> Standard Network Settings.

Настройки пользователя User —> Выбираем пользователя. —> View\Modify. Менаяем пароль администратору или создаем нового пользователя, предыдущий пароль для этого не требуется.

Теперь можно подключиться к iLO с любого другого компьютера в локальной сети, для подключения лучше использовать Internet Explorer.

Всё это замечательно работает на Windows Server 2016. Думаю, что и на Windows Server 2012 / 2012 R2 тоже взлетит.

Неизвестное устройство в сервере HP Proliant DL120 Gen9

На сервере HP Proliant DL120 Gen9 стоит ОС Windows. После установки Service Pack for Proliant в окне Device Manager осталось одно неизвестное PCI устройство. Решаем эту проблему.

Hardware Ids:
pci\ven_103c&dev_193f&subsys_3381103c&rev_00

Мы же обойдёмся без ручной установки драйверов.

Перезагружаем сервер. При загрузке жмём F9 для входа в BIOS.

В разделе BIOS > Platform Configuration (RBSU) входим в раздел PCI Device Enable/Disable.

• Embedded SATA Controller #1 > Enabled
• Embedded SATA Controller #2 > Enabled

Заходим в раздел BIOS > Platform Configuration (RBSU) > System Options > SATA Controller Options

Меняем опцию (при необходимости)

• Embedded SATA Configuration > Enable Dynamic Smart Array RAID Support

Сохраняем изменения F10. Перезагружаем сервер.

Входим в Windows. Смотрим Device Manager.

Устанавливаем SPP прямо из операционной системы как описано здесь:

Драйвера от неизвестных устройств обнаружены и устанавливаются:

Смотрим Device Manager. Все устройства определились.

Поскольку я не использую на сервере Dynamic Smart Array, то теперь можно откатить все изменения в BIOS обратно. Перезагружаем сервер.

Входим в BIOS по F9. Откатываем всё что меняли обратно:

Сохраняемся F10 и перезагружаем сервер.

Проблема решена, неизвестное устройство больше не мозолит глаза.
