Прошу прощения за такой странный вопрос, но мне показалось, что вы по какой-то причине избегаете произносить слово linux, заменяя его словом «бесплатный») возможно я ошибаюсь, однако если это всё же так, то мне интересно, почему))
Написано же KDE neon, причем тут Gnome?
Нади изучить вопрос, не могли же они просто скачать тему оформления для kde, и назвать это дистрибутивом.
Я опытный пользователь линукс – если хотите, что то красивое похожее на MAC и минимум настроек то ставте Elementary OS.
Опытный же пользователь – линукс настроит любой дистрибутив на свой вкус.
PearOS -Linux – очень нестабильное, сомнительное решение.
Повторюсь Elementary OS – минимум настроек, всё понятно всё стабильно, в среде линуксоидов считается топом дизайна из коробки

Лучше установить Kali Linux или Debian с графическим окружением рабочего стола Gnome, а потом скачать и установить тему под macOS! Это будет намного лучше выглядеть! IMHO
Очень сомнительный интерфейс. Лучше уж запариться с хакинтошем, чем смотреть на эту грубую подделку.
говно а не О.С. или точнее разработчики , кинут опять людей и не захотят Линукс пробовать опять или разочарование в надежности пользоваться , это как бы постучала к тебе одна красивая с виду и потом начало показывать формы и флиртовать и разделась а как ближе или иметь всё конец и иди ты вон а не она и не в гости попросилась , а ты потерял время и энергию и остался с не исполненным желанием или как неудачник с боль в яйцах еще , этих варваров или фашистов итд чё холодных или эгоистических тварей с красивой оберткой но с говном внутри или в целом гнать их , а не пробовать , знаю я их еще с 2009 – 11 годах когда еще МакОС был красив и со вкусом аж шокировал и они продались или кинули как ку… , и был УБУНТУ и есть хоть некрасив но если чё можно привыкнуть и приукрасить или поправлять или хоть elementary OS стараются но тоже тупят хоть и деньги им кинули чтобы работали , а они …
а можно там установить Logic Pro и Final Cut ? :))))))

Pear OS — Французский ад.

Как-то я выложил небольшой эмоциональный бложек, с прикрепленным к нему скриншотом Elementary OS 5.1.5 Hera. В нем, я был доволен использованием системы и вскользь упомянул о некой французской мерзости PearOS, которая заинтересовала парочку пользователей.
И так, PearOS, неудавшийся французский кошмар; пародия на OSX от Apple; Не работающий нормально, забагованный мусор.
Все кто пользовался Ubuntu, знают, что та сыпит ошибками и багами. И если Ubuntu ими сыпит, то PearOS это ураганный багопулемет, который сметет всю планету с лица земли, если им кто-то будет пользоваться.
Сначала вас встречает стильный интерфейс, под копирку слизанный с OSX. Если вам такое нравится, то да, вот оно! — думаете вы. Только вот центр приложений то не работает, а почему? Потому что нет интернет соединения. А почему? Потому что французы накосячили с сетевым кодом, из-за чего, на большинстве машин, система отказывается подключаться не только к Wi-Fi, но и к проводному интернету.
Лезете в настройки сети — не открываются, или выдают артефакты.
Лезете в терминал, половина команд и вовсе не работает. Например, стандартная sudo apt-get update — забанена!
Это в принципе все что можно о ней сказать. Сейчас, студя работающая под названием PearLinux, занимается разработкой каких-то инди игрушек для мобилок, и пытается хоть как-то заработать деньги. Безусловно, идея, сама по себе забавная. Пародия на OSX, даже вместо яблока надгрызанная груша. И если бы, французы решили бы реально подзапариться, и проработать свое творение, действительно правильно его преподнести и сделать его работоспособным Ubuntu и Deb зависимым дистрибутивом, то тогда, система возможно была бы популярна и известна. А так, о ней забыли как о страшном сне. Хотя потенциал был, жаль французский пожар креатива быстро потух.
Прощай PearOS, ты никому не была нужна, увы (

Welcome To Pearl Linux OS
Pearl hits 10. version 10 that is and it is based on Debian instead of our normal Ubuntu base. Just released the Xfce 32bit and Cinnamon 32bit Desktop Environments.The 64 bit Xfce should be out within a couple days. These will be the only DE’s planned for the Pearl 10 series. Took a while on this lots of headaches and bit of leaning as well. Starting with version 11 in the near future we will continue back with Ubuntu base. And little down the line a Debian Bulleye backed release.
It’s been a while since we have updated the website just no time in a day anymore. Well it’s been many years and I feel compiz has earned it’s place at least for a while in the Linux community, when Pearl started their was alot of support for completely dropping Compiz. We are so glad to see other distros show some interest as well as much of the noobs to Linux base. Now then, that being said, we all like change right and as far as alternatives to my favorite, Compiz I really like the Cinnamon Desktop. A more Windows . actually a much more Windows layout and feel.
I personally work with multimedia software such as the Mix Bus DAW (multitrack) on Pearl Studio. Using The Cinnamon desktop as oppose to MATE which our layout points that DE toward a Mac OS X feel The advantage .. no more dodging that bottom dock when MixBus uses every bit of that screen. My favorite developer Clement at Linux Mint is behind Cinnamon and it’s very polished workings. I feel the Linux Mint version of Cinnamon is one of the most solid OS to date. Thats my opinion and I am the Compiz freak.. Please enjoy the new Debian Buster (10) built upon system from Pearl Linux.
Pearl Linux OS has been available for free download since 12/2014 with our first release simply titled Pearl Linux. It was based on the 14.04 released version of Ubuntu. That release was using the XFCE desktop environment. Since then we now offer the MATE, GNOME, LXDE and soon to come our own DE PDE which is a DE that revolves around the Compiz Window Manager and uses elements from LXDE and XFCE4 desktops. Since the release of Pearl OS 3.0 we are now maintaining our own repository on site. The reason I felt Pearl was needed early on was the overall exceptance from the developer communities to allow pretty much Compiz to disappear. With the Linux platform you may if you choose, to maintain your own repository that can be added to whatever Linux base you choose to build on to maintain the elements you choose to keep active. Thankfully many others felt the same as I did and Compiz these days is widely exepted.
These days its not that easy to find many distros still using compiz for the desktop effects. Since the start of Pearl over a year ago every release at least has the option to use compiz. When using compiz it does require a bit more of the computer power to run smoothly however I, like many others really do like at least the option to play a little. For newbies to Linux there is a word of caution I’ll through out there, if playing around beyond what we setup as default beware you may end up with a computer that simply wont respond at all. For this reason we have a file in your home directory called » Pearl-Compiz-Default-Settings». It’s very easy to regain control if you went a bit too far while playing with the more wild effects offered through the compiz window manager.
For many years now I modeled Pearl as a mix between Linux Mint / Ubuntu for the system level workings. In short Ubuntu is used as the Linux Mint backend as well but like the looks of Linux Mint. acually I love Linux Mint and their awesome developer. Now as for Ubuntu. their not ranked so high for no reason. Very stable is why they are a big part in Pearl’s exisistance. Not to mention the security of the system itself is maintained by them as all derivitives from Ubuntu is. What was lacking was the look and feel of Mac OS X as the main layout as Linux Mint is more like a Windows layout. Also I liked OS X in the Snow Leopard days so I keep that option inside Pearl on all releases to acually come pretty close to what Snow Leopard was back in the day. I’m not about the FLAT look which Linux has been on that kick for some time now can’t wait till their is something to replace that one day. To me some themes are so flat all windows get lost inside each other. yuck. That being said, thats why everyone will soon migrate to Linux from both Mac and Windows and that is the users choice. You can make your own Linux with the tools we provide you on all of our releases. Currently we use wasta-remastersys to create our images.

| I downloaded the ISO and booted it from the pendrive to start it. Very beautiful distro with very nice visual and effects. Everything worked fine. Calamares new installation, and it detected all other partitions of 2 more distros and Windows. Very good software store, I easily installed some apps. I liked it a lot. | Version: 9 Rating: 3 Date: 2020-04-25 Votes: 7 | Tried 7.1, 8 and now 9. Love the interface on all three. Icons are familiar to Mac users and the feel of the system does a good job of mimicking Mac. As a long time Apple user, the Macintosh like look to the interface made me instantly comfortable using the desktop in 7.1 and 8. Unfortunately, boot up of the disk for 9 was slow and buggy. I burned a new disk and still the same result. After booting the DVDs each 3 times the cursor for the mouse finally showed up where on previous boots the desktop would show up but not the mouse pointer. Attempting an install on a Dell Latitude was buggy. Never got it to actually install with 9. Went back to an earlier install (version 8) and attempted an upgrade, this tanked the system. I loved the ideas behind Pear OS and looked to Pearl as a successor, but there needs to be a better upgrade method and the bugs need to be ironed out. I currently recommend Peach OSI for those moving from Mac. Elementary OS and Deepin are good alternatives too. |
| Version: 7.0 Rating: 6 Date: 2019-12-12 Votes: 2 | I’ve tried several versions of Pearl: Pearl MATE, Pearl Desktop, Pearl XFCE. Great visuals, great promise, somewhat of a letdown. It seems each version has their own unique issues, each one being less-than-perfect in its own way. One niggling glitch is that on installation it defaults to the developer’s name as the profile name, then once installed it gives an error because it can’t find the developer’s folder for downloads. I think that was on the MATE version. On MATE, my laptop’s touchscreen didn’t work but the touchpad driver allowed tap-to-click. On Pearl Desktop, the touchscreen worked but the tap-to-click wasn’t even an option in the touchpad settings. On one, after updating, the bottom half of my display went black. Reverting to the older version (in boot options) worked great (for a whie), but the newer kernel options didn’t. I finally gave up and went to Peach OSI and then to Modicia (neither of those are perfect, but slightly better than Pearl). Pearl is great for playing around, maybe as a 2nd boot option, but not to be relied upon for a stable platform. Источник |
