Keeps getting a pop up «Driver Update detected following device has a missing or out of date driver».
Original Title: Driver update
My husband has a new laptop. He keeps getting a message popping up «Driver Update detected following device has a missing or out of date driver
Intel (R) Dynamic Platform and Thermal etc.
The message comes from Slimware Utilities Holdings inc.
My questions are : How do we know this is genuine and not a potential virus?
Should we download it?
Thanks for any advice.

The laptop is an HP and 15-AC153SA
He bought it from Currys in January and has only installed Photoshop elements, BreezeBrowser etc. Currys have put on a KnowHow Cloud thing which he is not interested in and that kept popping up too!
We have also installed Norton as a shared subscription with mine.
The pop up started coming up pretty much from the start. I felt that all updates were probably being done by Microsoft so said that he shouldn’t click on anything. We’ve been busy, so he just Exits the pop up when it comes on everytime he turns on the laptop.
Thanks for your suggestions — we will go through them over the next day or so — and get back to you if we still have a problem

Use the approach where you send username and password in URL Request:
So just to make it more clear. The username is username password is password and the rest is usual URL of your test web
Works for me without needing any tweaks.
Sample Java code:
This should works with windows server 2012 and IE.
This is very simple in WebDriver 3.0(As of now it is in Beta).
Hopefully this helps.
Solution: Windows active directory authentication using Thread and Robot
I used Java Thread and Robot with Selenium webdriver to automate windows active directory authentication process of our website. This logic worked fine in Firefox and Chrome but it didn’t work in IE. For some reason IE kills the webdriver when authentication window pops up whereas Chrome and Firefox prevents the web driver from getting killed. I didn’t try in other web browser such as Safari.
