PVP3 System Requirements

While the software may work on systems that do not meet these requirements, those systems will not be supported. As always, you will be able to download the software at no charge to test performance on any computer prior to making any purchase to make sure your system performs as needed.

*For Mojave (macOS 10.14) users, we recommend that you run PVP3 on 10.14.4 or above for optimal performance due to deprecation in the OpenGL technology on the Mojave macOS. Common issues on macOS Mojave are dropped-frames and sub-optimal playback in some cases.

All Macs sold today will meet these specs, however, your best results will be with an iMac or MacBook Pro with a dedicated graphics card (AMD or NVIDIA), or a Desktop “Pro” computer (iMac Pro, or Mac Pro), especially for higher-end uses (such as multiple outputs, multiple layers, HD content, etc.).

Additional consideration should be given to any hardware limitations of a given device (such as the number and type of ports available on the computer). For example, some MacBooks and MacBook Airs meet the specs to run PVP, however, they have limited ports available and as such we don’t recommend those as production computers. Additional hardware such as video cables and adapters may also be needed based on your computer’s connections and the input options of your devices.

NOTE: PVP3 requires macOS Sierra (10.12) or newer and a working Internet connection in order to be able to install the software, register, and receive updates. An internet connection is not required to run the software. As projects get more complex with more outputs, higher resolutions, or higher compression quality, a powerful Mac with more RAM, faster processor, or a faster GPU will definitely help. Please download and try PVP3 in demo mode to test the performance prior to purchasing.

With an easy to use intuitive interface, you can build multiple playlists to prepare for any event. From within PVP, you can modify the color, speed, and playback parameters of your videos without effecting the original files. You can set clips to transition automatically, loop, or even manually cross-fade one video to another with our virtual T-bar.

The software is uncluttered and simple to use and manage. It runs exclusively on Mac OS X and is a Universal binary, meaning it will run optimally on Macs built with the new Intel processors or PowerPC processors.

ProVideoPlayer was designed to enhanced live staging events such as concerts, trade show booths, conferences, or church services; it manages an unlimited amount of clips in an unlimited number of playlists and gives a tremendous amount of control to the playback of these video clips including Hue, Brightness, Saturation, Start/Stop times, and speed, either on a per-clip basis or universally.
