ATI X1300 Pro 256MB & Windows 10 Driver

I have recently done an upgrade to Windows 10 Pro from Windows 7. However, the video driver amongst other Human Interface Drivers are missing. I am unable to find the video driver with the exception of registering with various companies e.g. Drivers Assist, who claim to have them but need to purchase!

My missing video driver is ATI X1300 Pro 256MB and it is for Dell PC which uses the Intel Core 2 Duo processor. Dell is not supporting Windows 10 for ATI X1300 Pro 256MB.

Currently, the PC is using the basic Microsoft video driver.

It is quite frustrating where MS stated on the notification window that my PC is ready for Windows 10, but unfortunately, video drivers and HID such as for the Logitech wireless keyboard are not available. So, my question, why give a false impression. For example in the case of the Logitech wireless keyboard, there appears to be a lag when typing.

I appreciate for the help.

The make of the video card is by AMD\Radeon. After checking their website, it appears that there is no Win10 support for that card probably due to age. As such they have recommended the following options:

1) continue using Win 10 with using basic MS Video card driver

2) Revert back to original OS which in my case it is Win 7

3) Purchase a brand new video card compatible with Win 10. Considering the age of the motherboard, I will not be purchasing the video card.

It appears I would need to revert back to the original OS.

Why is it that MS stated that my PC is ready for Windows 10? It’s frustrating and not happy with both MS and AMD.

Thank you for the reply. My PC is compatible for Win10, but it appears that there is no support for Video Graphics And lack of communication between MS and AMD.

Unless there is no help for my problem, I’ll be reverting back to Win7.

Today’s world, companies like Dell and AMD have closed the link for customers to communicate — no email link unless you have a warranty, no address etc.

Please resolve my video driver issue. Thank you

Unfortunately till the time manufacture will not release the driver we wont be able to do anything.

What I can suggest you is you can use basic video drivers if you want and keep checking with the video card manufacture may be they will be able to help you.

Hope this information helps.

Unfortunately we don’t have control over AMD. AMD is not connected to Microsoft in anyway so we cannot say anything in this.

Just now I found thread relevant to your problem so I suggest you to refer to the suggestions given by MR. Hussein replied on in the mentioned thread.

Hope this helps.

Mr Hussein’s problem was solved by purchasing a WIN 10 compatible Video Graphic card which I’m not prepared.

I’ll try installing the driver as suggested in that message and if it doesn’t work, I’ll revert back to Win 7.

I’m surprised that vendors and MS alike do not communicate and try to resolve problems.

I tried installing the drivers as suggested in Mr Hussein’s message. Unfortunately, the driver was not installed by Windows i.e. it is the wrong driver.

So it appears reverting back to Win 7.

Another time wasting exercise — lesson learned for MS and third party vendors.

Thank you for all the assistance.
