Ralink 3290 WiFi/Bluetooth

Привет. В общем, есть карточка Ralink 3290.

WiFi работает, Bluetooth — нет. Чтобы заработал,говорят надо поставить ралинковский драйвер, например отсюда — https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/rt3090/

Однако он не собирается, ругаясь примерно таким образом:

Может кто в курсе, какие версии ядра/компилятора нужны, чтобы его собрать?

Здесь вот http://askubuntu.com/questions/285163/ralink-rt3290-cant-be-installed написано, что для 3.8 не будет работать, там сильно изменили заголовки ядра. В той ссылке на AUR, что вы привели, показано, что компилируется под 3.6.6-1.

Но, так то ralink писал это под 2.6, так что неизвестно насколько стабильно оно работает на 3.x ядрах.

После ковыряния напильником драйвер даже взлетел, и блютус заработал, кривенько правда, но если вдруг прижмёт, то пригодится.

Там в проприетарной софтине есть код управления светодиодом синезуба, никто не шарит в асме? Может поможете выколупать его оттуда?

Купить китайский usb свисток за 5$ и не страдать ерундой, сидя под дырявыми ядрами из-за bluetooth. Когда нужно вставил, не нужно вытащил — лепота. Если это десктоп, то вообще можно воткнуть назад и забыть.

Почему под дырявыми? Ядро 3.8.11, на 3.9 звук поломан, жду обновок. Свисток есть, но он же не всегда под рукой.

а как вы доделали дрова под ralink 3290? можно я ваш вариант поюзаю? 🙂 у меня щас стоит ubuntu 13.04 там есть встроенные дрова для нашего устройства но работают они очень криво

Это только на синезуб. Вафля из коробки хорошо работает, осталось прикрутить мигание, как в iwlagn от intel 🙂

Инструкция там внутри. Собираешь модуль rtbth.ko, грузишь его, делаешь mknod и запускаешь rtbt.bin.

Сам себя нагрел в общем. Внутри есть исходник функции общения со светодиодом, всё ок. Запилил управление оным, теперь можно повесить на триггер rx/tx и он будет моргать при передаче данных.

Как оказалось, драйвер для WiFi так же умеет моргать светодиодом (жёлтым), но из-за какого-то бага он им не моргает 🙁

вот у меня из коробки как бы тоже работает, но толку маловато — сигнал практически ноль, как на дешёвом китайском планшете. и связь постоянно обрывается. особенно при большой нагрузке на иннет (например, когда идёт закачка). в убунту где показывает 0-1 деление — в винде полная шкала. грешу только на дрова.

В 3.8 вычистили старые макросы. На них собственно при сборке и ругается компилятор. В моем случае это были «__devint», «__devexit», «__devinitdata».

Стоит последняя версия 5.4.0.58.61 Как мне поставить драйвер если они на 5.0.*?

а я откуда знаю, ты же прям вот взял и показал, как она у тебя определяется/не определяется, ты логи показал соответствующие, ты выхлоп по сетевым интерфейсам же показал, ага.

ну блютузом он виден у тебя, а лог загрузки из тебя надо тащить клещами. да. модель ноута, у тебя же ноут же, ты нам всем тут написал же. да.

интересно, что видно в апплете NetworkManager-а…

Вот у тебя уже установлен и используется драйвер из состава ядра.

Ничего компилировать не нужно.

Смотри вывод dmesg | less на предмет сообщений о том, что драйвер не находит нужные ему файлы прошивок (firmware).

Если такие сообщения есть — гугли в каком пакете нужные прошивки и ставь его.

А так, у тебя все должно работать.

казалось только недавно вышла RTX3090, а у лоровцев уже 3290

Я мучал, мучал систему и теперь она не включается. Recovery не помогает, ошибок не видно. Пытался поставить дрова для видео. Кажется придётся начать занова с установки.

RT3290 Ralink driver in Ubuntu 18.04

I have used instructions given in same question but got this

Step 1: Download the Ralink rt3290 bluetooth Driver Package Now the first step is to download the ralink rt3290 bluetooth Linux driver (rtbth-dkms) package. Download this driver file from below link:

for Ubuntu 18.04:

ppa1_amd64.deb (updated wrt link above)

Please Note: The current deb package of Ralink rt3290 bluetooth is only available for x64 based distribution for 32bit distors you need to manually compile the bluetooth package for more please follow this link.

Step 2: Install Ralink rt3290 bluetooth Driver After you have downloaded driver file, the next step is to install the driver package, Although you can install driver package via command line but we recommend Gdebi as it can install any debian package within seconds. If you don’t have Gdebi installer then please install it via Software center or just open terminal by pressing Ctrl+Alt+T and type the below code:

sudo apt-get install Gdebi

Press Enter and when the installation succeed, Open the rtbth-dkms.deb file via Gdebi install and install the package.

Step 3: Run the Ralink rt3290 bluetooth module (rtbth) As you have completed above steps, now just after the installation finish, the next step is to check the bluetooth module- by typing below cmd in terminal:

sudo modprobe rtbth

Soon as you launch this command you will get message “init complete” this indicates that your module have been successfully loaded. If the terminal doesn’t gives you any output then its advisable to please check your bluetooth area whether the ubuntu detects bluetooth or not. (If it doesn’t then read the below steps)

If the first command doesn’t works then toogle your WiFi switch on off and again type:

sudo modprobe rtbth

sudo modprobe -r rtbth

And, Press Enter, You will see your Wireless or Bluetooth light which indicates your rt3290 bluetooth activated and you can now use your bluetooth adapter.

Step 4: Auto-Load Ralink rt3290 (rtbth) module at startup Now, the final step is to auto load the rtbth module at startup which prevents you from activating module at every boot. For that you need to add the module in modules.conf file.

All you have to do is to find Kernel module file and its Located in /etc/modules-load.d/modules.conf

You can manually Browse this file in Nautilus or any other file manager. All you have to do is to run File Manager in Terminal by typing the command:

sudo su & nautilus

But if find this difficult then type in terminal:

sudo gedit /etc/modules-load.d/modules.conf

Then, Press Enter.

It will open the notepad file of modules.conf and after that enter rtbth at end of file.

Just click on save and restart your PC and see if the modules load automatically.

RT3290 Wifi+Bluetooth problem

There is a lot of topics about RT3290 here as we can see in the search engine, but I’ve not yet solved my problem.

I don’t have any Bluetooth and my Wifi connection interrupts frequently (3 times per hour approx.)

Before installing rt3290 from AUR (which is flagged out of date but the 2.6.0.0 is the latest version on the Ralink website) I had this lspci -k result :

Now I have that, the Wifi interrupts seems to be solved but I’ve not Bluetooth support yet :

With the AUR package I’ve the same problem on the frequents Wifi interrupts

Maybe I have to blacklist the previous kernel rt2300pci driver. ?

I’ve find something here but rtbth doesn’t exists, any ideas ?

There is no support for bluetooth in new versions of kernel, just an old version that was used in Ubuntu 12.04 I think.

Thanks for the reply

I’m a little bit sad because I like to have a full support of the hardware of my computer, to show how it’s powerfull to my Mac addicts friends.
My issue with the wifi is a little bit strange, sometimes that works, and some times not, I think that’s because the driver is not 100% perfect.

I’ve just sent a email to Ralink because I’ve bought my computer thinking the Bluetooth and Wifi are both supported, so I aked them to write in the driver title «Wifi only».

Any other idea to make the bluetooth working ? I’ll maybe try to create a driver, but I’m a big newbie with little time.

Yes, I find a way.

Install rtbth-dkms from AUR.
Reboot your laptop (in case)
Then open a terminal :

$ sudo su
# pkill -f «rtbt»
# modprobe -r rtbth
# modprobe rtbth

I need to do the terminal trick each time I want to use bluetooth.

Thank you so much. I couldn’t type in bluetoothctl, I looked in Google, and I saw I didn’t start bluetooth.service -_-

i’ve the same problem..

After install rtbth-dkms, i now can see the device, scan for near devices. but when i try to pair it always fail.

I tried with mouse and a android phone:

— with the mouse when it try to pair it faills with the message: «authentication Canceled»:

Not sure what i could be missing.

NOTE: i try with a live cd of ubuntu version 12.04.01 and it work OK, i install the rtbth-3.9.3 driver. but this disto uses an old kernel (3.13.0-32-generic) and version of bluez (4.98-2ubuntu7.2).

Ubuntu: Ralink RT 3290 Bluetooth Problem on Ubuntu 14.04

Question:

I recently installed Ubuntu 14.04 and everything is working good except the Bluetooth.

I have Ralink 3290 Bluetooth. tried to install the driver using the method described here. The code is not compiling and giving 2 errors. Even the change in os/linux/pci_main_dev.c is not working.

Update: Now I followed this link and after modifying some file a little bit, I was successful in compiling and installing this driver. I am certain that Ubuntu finally found a Bluetooth Adapter, and now I am getting bluetooth in:

I got the bluetooth to work!

First download the Source code from here and extract it to Home .

After that, open the rtbth_core_bluez.c file, and then go to line 86 and change it from:

Go to line 216 and change it from:

Then go to line 406 and change it from:

Save, then open rtbth_hlpr_linux.c and go to line 575. Change it from:

Now you are ready to Compile. Compile it in Terminal by:

Reboot. Additionally, you can follow the PDF file contained inside this ZIP in case bluetooth still does not work.

As of now, there is no working driver. If you have LP account, I’d recommend you marking the bug as affecting you and subscribing for email notifications on comments.

The DKMS and systemd solution that works on my HP ProBook 455 G1 Laptop with:
Network controller: Ralink corp. RT3290 Wireless 802.11n 1T/1R PCIe and it’s hybrid.
Which has built-in Bluetooth: Ralink corp. RT3290 Bluetooth.

I am ask for check if this instruction work on Ubuntu.
Write an OS and Kernel Linux version for example:

TESTED ON:
OS: Fedora 27 with gnome shell.
Kernel Linux: 4.13.12-300.fc27.x86_64
