Application to mirror the screen of your Mac to any Samsung Smart TV. No wires and no additional hardware needed! You can also stream individual video files from your Mac to your TV. Also, we included the option to watch one window on your Mac, and another window on your TV!

This works on any Samsung Smart TV from the 2012 models onward. Which model year do you have? You can see that by looking at the middle letter in your model type (on the back of your Samsung TV).

In using the app, there will be a couple of seconds of latency (usually between 1 and 3). So this mirroring is not suitable for gaming.

However, it is very suitable for watching movies, giving presentations, watching photos, and much more!

The quality of your experience will be dependent on the quality of your local network. Some tips to enhance the experience:

— Preferably, connect your TV by LAN cable to your router.
— Use a Wifi ac router. If you don’t have one, then an «n» router.
— Try not to overload your wifi network by moving big files around while you are mirroring.

How the app works:
First, make sure that your Samsung TV is on the same local network and same subnet as your Mac. The TV should not be in screen mirroring mode, but just on «TV» Mode or any HDMI IN port.

After launching the app, you will see the app icon appearing in the top bar of your Mac and the app will look for your TV on the network. It will show your TV when it has found it. Now, you have two options:

Mirror your Mac Screen:
Use this option to put the screen of your Mac on TV. In source, you can select which screen (or attached monitor) you want to display on TV. If you are running multiple applications on your Mac, you can also select which application window you want to see on TV.

Enable Sound: check this to hear the sound of your Mac coming from the TV. You will need the additional (free) audio driver, which you can download here: http://bit.ly/MirrorAudio

Play Video File:
Use this option if you have a video file on your Mac and you want to play just the file on TV. Drop it in the box and it will play on TV.

Settings (the icon in the bottom right of the app): click here to request support from our 24/7 support staff. They usually respond within 2 hours on any query that you might have. If your question is technical, please also include the diagnostics information.

Limitations: Apple has HDCP DRM protection for playing iTunes movies. This means that screen mirroring is not possible when watching movies from iTunes.

How the app works:

1. Make sure that your iPhone or iPad is connected to the same local network as your Samsung TV. Don’t use multiple VLANs or subnets.

2. Launch the Mirror for Samsung TV app. It will start looking for your Samsung TV(s) on your local network. When a TV is found, please select it. When you use this app for the first time, depending on your model Samsung TV, the TV might ask you to «allow» the connection. In that case, take your TV Remote Control and press OK to allow the connection from your TV to your iPhone or iPad.

3. Turn on notifications for this app. We will not spam you, but we will use this to let you know if your TV is working correctly or not. So please, please allow it, otherwise when things don’t work as they should, you are left in the dark.

4. Click on Start Mirroring to start mirroring on the TV that is currently selected. After that, you can just go to any other app on your iPhone or iPad and the mirroring just continues to run.

5. To stop mirroring, there are two options. (1) click on the red top bar that you will see on your iPhone or iPad. (2) Go to the Mirror for Samsung TV app and click on Stop Mirroring.

Limitations and known issues:

Some apps block Screen Mirroring. This means that application developers can choose themselves if they want to block Screen Mirroring. For instance, Netflix, Disney and AppleTV+ have decided to block this.

You can purchase the Mirror for Samsung TV Pro Version through an in app purchase.

The Pro Version has the following features:
1. Adds audio to the screen mirroring
2. Provides for free lifetime updates of the app
3. Gives the option to choose higher screen resolutions, like 720p and 1080p

* Payment will be charged to iTunes Account at confirmation of purchase.
* Subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period.
* Account will be charged for renewal within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period, and identify the cost of the renewal.
* Subscriptions may be managed by the user and auto-renewal may be turned off by going to the user’s Account Settings after purchase.
* Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when the user purchases a subscription to that publication, where applicable.

Качество работы приложения будет зависеть от качества вашей локальной сети. Несколько советов для улучшения результатов:

— Желательно подключить телевизор к маршрутизатору (роутеру) с помощью кабеля локальной сети.

— Используйте маршрутизатор «AC». Если такого у Вас нет, маршрутизатор «N».

— Старайтесь не перегружать сеть WiFi, перемещая большие файлы, пока вы пользуетесь приложением.

Как работает приложение:

Во-первых, убедитесь, что Ваш Samsung TV находится в той же сети и подсети, что и Ваш Mac. TV не должен находиться в режиме «Отражение экрана», но в обычном режиме TV или любом HDMI IN порте.

После запуска приложения, Вы увидите иконку приложения в верхней части Вашего Mac и приложение будет искать TV в Вашей сети. Оно оповестит Вас, когда найдет его. Теперь, у Вас два варианта:

Отразить экран Вашего Mac:
Используйте опцию для отражения экрана Mac на TV. В источнике, Вы можете выбирать какой экран (или второй монитор) Вы хотите выводить на TV. Если Вы запустили несколько приложений на Вашем Mac, вы также можете выбрать какое из окон вы хотите транслировать.

Включить звук: прочтите это, чтобы корректно слышать звук Mac на TV. Вам понадобится дополнительный бесплатный аудио драйвер, который вы можете загрузить здесь: http://bit.ly/MirrorAudio

Проигрывание видеофайла:
Используйте эту опцию, если видеофайл есть на Вашем Mac, и вы просто хотите воспроизвести его на TV. Закиньте его в ящик, и он будет проигрываться на TV.

Настройки (в нижнем правом углу приложения): нажмите здесь для вызова поддержки 24/7. Обычно они отвечают в течение 2 часов по любому Вашему вопросу. Если Ваш вопрос технического характера, пожалуйста прикладывайте диагностическую информацию.

Ограничения: у Apple есть защита HDCP DRM для воспроизведения фильмов iTunes. Это означает, что зеркальное отображение экрана невозможно при просмотре фильмов из iTunes.
