1st Part. Use Segurazo Uninstaller first

1. Open This PC and open folders in the given order:
   This PC > Windows (C:) > Program Files (x86) > Segurazo.
2. Here, find a file called SegurazoUninstaller.exe, double-click it to run it.
   
3. Choose Remove Protection in the window that appears on the screen.
4. Wait. The uninstaller will suggest restarting computer. Choose to Restart Later in the same window.
5. Close any open windows on your screen to go back to desktop. You should see Segurazo Uninstaller window again. Put ticks on Segurazo Antivirus and Configuration Files options and hit Uninstall.
   
6. Wait until the uninstall process is finished. You will be asked whether you want to restart your computer. Click No.
7. At this point, all files of the potentially unwanted antivirus will be deleted, except SegurazoKD.sys and SegurazoShell64_v1069.dll, which will be left in the program’s installation folder. These can’t be deleted that easily – neither one by one, or with the whole folder. Here’s what you need to do next.

2 Part. Clean Windows Registry from associated keys and values

TIP. The instructions are very detailed. If you are advanced computer user, here’s what you need to do in steps 1-12: User Find to discover and delete keys and folders related to the annoying program.

1. Press down Windows key + R to launch Run prompt. In Run, type regedit and press Enter. In UAC window, press Yes.
   
2. In Windows Registry, press CTRL + F to open Find. You can also click Edit >Find… for the same result.
3. In Find, type Segurazo and press Find Next.
   
   
4. The first found key should lie in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\AppCompatFlags\Compatibility Assistant\Store. Drag the Name column on the right to expand it so that you could see full names clearly. Find, right-click and choose to Delete a key named C:\Program Files (x86)\Segurazo\SegurazoUninstaller.exe. Click Yes to agree.
5. Press CTRL+F to open Find again. Click Find Next. Wait.
   Now you should be taken to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Tracing\segurazoclient_RASAPI32 folder.
   
   Look on the left panel; here, you should see a list of the PUP-related folders. Right-click, then choose Delete > Yes for these folders:
   1. segurazoclient_RASAPI32;
   2. segurazoclient_RASMANCS;
   3. SegurazoService_RASAPI32;
   4. SegurazoService_RASMANCS;
   5. SegurazoUninstaller_RASAPI32;
   6. SegurazoUninstaller_RASMANCS.
      
6. Open Find again (CTRL+F) and press Find Next. This should take you to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Segurazo folder. Right-click it on the left panel and choose Delete >Yes.
7. 
8. Ctrl+F and press Find Next. This should take you to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\Segurazo. Delete this folder from the left panel by right-clicking it and choosing Delete >Yes.
9. Press Ctrl + F, then Find Next. You will be taken to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\Session Manager folder. In this folder, you should find and delete value called PendingFileRenameOperations.
   
10. Repeat the Find procedure and delete the \Device\HarddiskVolume5\Program Files (x86)\Segurazo\SegurazoClient.exe value.
    
11. Repeat FindNext procedure. You should now right-click to DeleteSegurazoSvc key from HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\EventLog\Application folder.
12. Open Find > Find Next, then delete \Device\HarddiskVolume5\Program Files (x86)\Segurazo\SegurazoUninstaller.exe value from a folder named with a long numeric string.
13. Scroll up the Windows Registry Navigation and click on Computer. Now Repeat Find Next procedure to make sure that there are no more keys or values related to the stubborn PUP, and if found, delete them.

3 Part. Force delete remaining files in the installation folder

1. First of all, you need to copy the path to the previously mentioned files that won’t delete from program’s installation folder. You can copy it this way:
   Tip. We recommend writing down the names of files that you can’t delete from this folder as they might differ from ours.
2. Once you copied the path, press CTRL+ALT+DEL and open Windows Task Manager. Here, select File Explorer and choose End Task.
3. Now, search for cmd in Windows search. Right-click the result and choose to Run as Administrator. Click Yes to confirm.
   
4. In CMD, type del /f but instead of paste the path you copied earlier and add full file name. Press Enter to execute the command, and repeat by changing the filename to eliminate all remains.
   Example of commands we entered to force delete remaining files:
   del /f C:\Program Files (x86)\Segurazo\SegurazoShell64_v1069.dll
   del /f C:\Program Files (x86)\Segurazo\SegurazoKD.sys .
5. Following that, you can go back to C:\Program Files (x86) and delete Segurazo folder.
6. Go to desktop, right-clickRecycle bin and choose Empty Recycle bin. As a result, all files related to the annoying program will be eliminated for good.

Here, you must delete the following folders from the left panel: segurazoclient_RASAPI32 segurazoclient_RASMANCS SegurazoService_RASAPI32 SegurazoService_RASMANCS SegurazoUninstaller_RASAPI32 SegurazoUninstaller_RASMANCS Repeat the search – the next folder where there are Segurazo items should be HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Segurazo – delete the whole folder. Search for the next item – this time the folder should be HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\Segurazo – this one, too, has to be deleted. Search again and you will be taken to the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\Session Manager folder. Select it and look to the panel to the right. There, delete the item named PendingFileRenameOperations. Do another search and delete the \Device\HarddiskVolume5\Program Files (x86)\Segurazo\SegurazoClient.exe folder that you will be taken to. The next search will take you to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\EventLog\Application – in it you should find and delete the SegurazoSvc item. The final Registry location that you should be taken to after you search for Segurazo items again should be \Device\HarddiskVolume5\Program Files (x86)\Segurazo\SegurazoUninstaller.exe – you must delete this folder. Finally, collapse all folders in the left panel, click on the Computer icon from the top, press Ctrl + F again and perform one final search for Segurazo just to make sure that there are no items left related to it in the Registry. If anything is found, delete it and if not, proceed to the next step. Step 4: Delete the remaining files Now it is time to finally remove the files that remained in the Segurazo folder and the folder itself. Go to the Segurazo folder (This PC/Computer > Windows (C:) > Program Files (x86) > Segurazo), click in the address bar, and copy its location. Get a piece of paper to write down the names of the files that are left in the Segurazo folder. Be sure to write them down exactly as they are including their extensions. Start the Task Manager by pressing together the Ctrl + Shift + Esc keys in that order, go to the Processes tab, select the process named File Explorer, and then click on End Process to quit it. Select Yes when asked if you are sure you want to quit the process. Next, click on the Start menu, type cmd in it, and right-click on the icon that shows up first in the results (should be labeled cmd.exe). Click on the Run as Administrator option from the context menu and then select Yes to confirm that you want to open this tool. When the Command Prompt window shows up on the screen, type the del /f command, followed by the path to the Segurazo folder that you copied and then one of the filenames that you wrote down earlier. To paste copied text in the Command Prompt, click with the right button of the mouse on the title bar of the window, select Edit, and then click on Paste. When typing the full command, be very careful not to miss any of the single spaces that should be in it (for example, the space between “del” and “/f” or between “/f” and the folder path. Here are two examples of how the finished command with the folder path and filename should look: del /f C:\Program Files (x86)\Segurazo\SegurazoShell64_v1069.dll del /f C:\Program Files (x86)\Segurazo\SegurazoKD.sys. When you’ve correctly written the command, launch it by pressing Enter and when it completes, execute it again this time with the other filename(s) that you wrote down. Lastly, go to the directory of the Segurazo folder, delete that folder, and then empty the Recycle Bin. Step 5: Clean your browsers It is possible that Segurazo may have made certain modifications in your browsers that must be revoked in order to ensure that this unwanted software has been fully eliminated, so we suggest you do the following. Go to the icon of your main browser, right-click on it, and select the Properties button. Go to the Shortcut tab, click in the Target box, and if there’s anything written after “.exe“, delete it and then click on OK. Do this with any other browsers that you may have in the system (even if you don’t typically use them). The next instructions are browser-specific and are intended to help you clean your browser from elements that may be linked to Segurazo. We’ve shown how to do this in IE, Chrome, and Firefox, but the way to do it in most other browsers is very similar, so even if you need to clean another browser, it should be fairly easy. Remove Segurazo from Internet Explorer: Start the Internet Explorer browser, click on the main menu icon (the small gear ) and click on the Manage add-ons button. Look for add-ons there that you think may be connected to Segurazo and/or may have been added to the browser by the unwanted software without your approval. Delete any such extensions that have been installed in the browser without your authorization. Select the gear icon again and now go to Internet Options. There, check the URL address if the IE homepage and if it is currently set to an unfamiliar site and/or one that could be connected to Segurazo, replace the address with that of a trusted and safe site. Click on Apply to enforce the changes you’ve just made. Remove Segurazo from Firefox: Open the Firefox menu from the top-right and open the Add-ons settings. Delete anything that has not been installed by you in the browser. Click on Options from the Firefox menu, type homepage in the search bar on the Options page, and check the addresses for Homepage and new windows and New tabs. If they seem to have been altered without your permission, change them back to what they used to be before Segurazo modified them. Remove Segurazo from Chrome: Click on the button with the three dots that’s right below the X in the top-right and then go to More Tools > Extensions – there look for extensions that Segurazo may have added to the browser and uninstall them. Quit the browser and navigate to the C:/Users/. USER NAME. /AppData/Local/Google/Chrome/User Data folder. There, rename the sub-folder labeled Default to Backup Default. Restart the system, open the Chrome browser, go to Settings from its menu, and then click on Search Engines. Open the Manage Search Engines settings and block from the list of search engines all entries that you are unfamiliar with or that you don’t know if you can trust. To block a search engine in Chrome, click on the three dots next to the search engine entry and select the Remove from list option.
