Side-by-Side Error 59
This problem occurs because the run-time libraries are not installed on the Microsoft Dynamics CRM server. The applications that use side-by-side libraries cannot run without the run-time libraries. There is an Article KB 923014 which speaks about the error 59.
I would also suggest you to run a System File Checking on the computer:
1. Click on the Start menu, choose All Programs, then Accessories, then right-click on the Command Prompt item and select Run as administrator.
2. Click Continue to authorize opening a command prompt with administrative privileges.
3. Run this command in the cmd prompt: sfc /scannow
4. The cmd prompt should list text stating «Beginning system scan. This process will take some time.»
5. Wait for the scan to complete (this can take several minutes so be patient). This command will scan all protected system files and attempt to replace incorrect versions with correct Microsoft versions
6. When the scan completes, the SFC tool will indicate whether or not it found any problems and whether or not it was able to fix them
7. If any errors are reported that SFC was unable to fix, there are steps in this knowledge base article that explain how to locate and attempt to fix the errors.
8. After fixing any errors that are found.
Let us know if that helps.

Windows 10 «side-by-side»
Original title: Windows 10 desktop
Windows 10 will not allow me to show Windows «side-by-side». I usually have two windows open. With Windows 10, they do not resize so that each takes about 1/2 of the screen, rather they take about 1/3 each. Today, both windows became very small as if I had about 8 open instead of only 2, and I had to manually resize them. Can anyone offer a suggestion; it’s annoying.

Side by Side Configuration Is Incorrect Error in Windows 10 [FIXED]
Last Updated: 4 years ago
If you are on Windows 10, and you are seeing a “side by side configuration is incorrect” error, you are not alone. Many Windows 10 users have reported that they have encountered this error after they tried to launch, install or uninstall a program.
But the good news is you can fix this error. Here are four fixes you can try. You may not have to try them all. Just work from the top down until you find the one that works.
Method 1: Try another installer
If you see this error when you try to install a program, it is possible the installer or installation package is corrupted. In this case, you should download a correct installer to set up the program. You can download its latest version from the program’s official website. Then try installing it on your computer. If the error came from the original installer, you won’t see the error now.
Method 2: Reinstall the problem program
If the error occurs when you are launching a program, the program may be corrupted. Reinstalling the problem program is helpful for fixing your problem. To do so:
1) On your keyboard, press the Windows logo key and R at the same time to invoke the Run box.
2) Type “control” and press Enter to open Control Panel.
3) Select Large icons in the View by drop-down menu.
4) Click Programs and Features.
5) Right click the problem program and select Uninstall.
6) Download the latest version of your program from the its official website and install it on your computer.
7) Launch your program and see if this fixes the error.
Method 3: Reinstall the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Packages
The “side by side configuration is incorrect” error may occur because the Visual C++ Runtime on your computer is corrupted or missing. Reinstalling the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Packages on your computer can help you restore the corrupted or missing Runtime. To do so:
1) On your keyboard, press the Windows logo key and R at the same time to invoke the Run box.
2) Type “control” and press Enter to open Control Panel.
3) Select Large icons in the View by drop-down menu.
4) Click Programs and Features.
5) Delete every Visual C++ Redistributable (right-click on each of the programs with the name of “Microsoft Visual C++ XXXX Redistributable” and then select Uninstall).
6) Go to the Microsoft Visual C++ downloads website to download the programs you have just uninstalled. Then install them on your computer.
7) Restart your computer. If this method works for you, the error won’t bother you again.
Method 4: Run system checks
The error may also occur because there are corrupted system files on your Windows 10 system. You should run some system checks to scan your computer and perform a repair. To do so:
1) Click the Start menu (the Windows logo) at the bottom left of your screen, then type “cmd“.
2) Right-click “Command Prompt” and select “Run as administrator“.
3) Type “sfc /scannow” and press Enter on your keyboard.
4) Wait for the scan to complete. Then check to see if the error is gone.
5) If the problem persists, go back to Command Prompt, and then type “DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth” and press Enter.
6) Wait until the process completes. Then check to see if this fixes the error.
Method 5: Reset your system
If none of the methods above can help you, you should try resetting your Windows 10 to fix the error.
IMPORTANT: This will remove all your files and programs. So before you go on, you should create a backup of your important files and put it into a safe place.
To reset your Windows 10:
1) Click the Start menu (the Windows logo) at the bottom left of your screen, then select Settings (the gear icon).
2) Click Update & Security.
3) Select Remove everything.
4) Wait for the system to complete the resetting process.
5) Install and launch the program that caused the error. If this method works, you won’t see the error any more.

The problem is that the windows do not use the full screen.
In Windows 8.1 if I had two windows side by side the whole screen was used. Windows 10 seems to want to use only two thirds of the screen. This cuts off a lot of things in each window that I want to see. Windows 8.1 did it right. It’s broken in Windows 10.

This is the screenshot of what I get when I click «Show windows side by side» — it’s exactly the same as when I click «Show windows stacked». I use this command every day, so I’m dying now that it no longer works in Windows 10

I can only laugh at the moron who designed snap and side by side. I guess can’t they count how many windows it take to fill a screen. They like quads and even if you end task ‘ApplicationFrameHost’ it likes 3 windows please.
I seen tens of thousand jquery web pages that could blow this code to pieces. How many employees does MS have?

I’m going to take a wild guess and say this «side x side» was coded this way so that you can quickly bring up one of many windows to full screen. That might be fine for some, but it doesn’t cut the mustard for me.
I WANT to be able to actually READ info on one window so that I can cut and paste into the other window. The size of these reduced size windows make that hard or impossible.
While I wasn’t a big fan of Win 8, my wife still has it on her computer and right clicking on the bottom allows you to go «side x side» with 2 windows taking up the entire screen instead of 2/3’s of the screen.
There SHOULD be an option to make this command the same as in Win 7, Win 8, and Win 8.1. I think it worked in XP as well.
