cant find hotkey section , and push to talk options in skype

in the new version of skype (skype for windows 10 , came with windows , version 12.8.48) i cant find where the options for seting push to talk are.

The hotkeys are still available in the new Skype for Windows 10 version 12.18, however, you can no longer customize it. Instead, you can use the default commands:

Having googled it, I can’t find an answer. Just links to old guides that don’t even follow what settings I have.

Hi, I hope you’re doing good today.

His questions was for PUSH TO TALK, not TOGGLE MUTE ON OFF. Push to talk mutes the mic after you release the key(s), Ctrl+M does not do this. Of course Microsoft takes something that worked perfectly fine and gets rid of it.

How to Enable Skype Push to Talk Feature on Windows and Mac?

Now look at the top of the Hotkey settings and check the Enable hotkeys. This thing is located at the top of the Hotkeys settings. When this option is enabled, you can use keyboard shortcuts in any of the video or audio calls.

Step 6

Check the Toggle mute (Push to talk) option on the list.

Step 7

Select a hotkey combination for push to talk. (You can assign a single key or multiple keys)

Step 8

Click the blue OK button.

Step 9

Click the blue save button.

You can now use Push-to-talk in your Skype calls with your new hotkey combination.

Note: Above steps will work if you are still using older skype version. In new skype, push to talk (Toggle Mute) option can be turned on and off just by pressing Ctr+M. The Option is enabled by default in latest versions.

How to Enable Push to Talk skype in Mac?

Step 1

Macintosh operating system, open the Skype application from the application folder. If you have used Skype earlier on your Mac computer or MacBook, then you do not need to log in. Else, you need to log in if you are using it for the first time.

Step 2

Start a random call with anyone. The push-to-talk call feature is achieved or hidden in the Mac Operating System.

Step 3

Press Control + Option + Command + Up arrow key from the keypad. This will lead you to skype push to talk feature during a call.

Click on the mute microphone option to go back to normal mode.

Как в Skype включить уведомление о появлении контакта в сети

Иногда бывает необходимо отслеживать появление нужного человека в сети в системе того или иного средства коммуникации с ним. От оперативности обращения к такому человеку может зависеть принятие нами какого-то важного решения или совершение важных действий. А, возможно, мы просто хотим быть в курсе, когда нужный нам человек каждый раз будет появляться в сети, чтобы дарить ему внимание, удивлять, поощрять, любым иным способам поддерживать тесный контакт.

Многие из интернет-мессенджеров предусматривают функцию оповещения при появлении контактов из числа личных в сети, есть такая функция и у мессенджера от Microsoft – Skype, по умолчанию отключённая.

Как её включить?

В десктопной версии Skype для Windows и в веб-версии мессенджера (web.skype.com) идём в раздел настроек.

В разделе «Уведомления» выставляем переключатель опции уведомления о появлении контактов в сети в активное положение.

Вот и всё: теперь при запуске мессенджера на устройствах людей из числа наших личных контактов мы будем видеть уведомление о том, что тот или иной человек появился в сети.

Уведомление будет поставляться в системный трей Windows — программное при использовании десктопного Skype и в виде push -уведомления при работе с веб-версией мессенджера.
