Sonic Riders ROM Download for GameCube

Sonic Riders, released in the year 2006, is a racing video game under the Sonic the Hedgehog video games series on hoverboards. Now Production and Sonic Team developed the game, and Sega published it for the GameCube.

Gameplay

Sonic Riders focuses on characters racing each other using Extreme Gear, an anti-gravity-equipped vehicle comprising hoverbikes, hoverboards, and hover skates. There are 16 tracks in the game, where the player battles against characters—either controlled by other players or computers in a story and battle modes. Players compete to complete three laps around a racetrack before their competitors finish the race in the first place.

A key element of gameplay is the air tank on the lower right-hand side of the screen. Air works as the fuel for Extreme Gear and depletes slowly as the race goes on. The characters can also perform a Boost move, which will supply them with an abrupt burst of speed at the cost of a certain amount of air. Additionally, if a player boosts their opponent, their player character will attack and hit the opponent for a short period. Air is also more quickly consumed using building tension before a jump and cornering, which enables the player to round sharp corners with ease.

Best Emulators for Sonic Riders ROM

If you want to play Sonic Riders, then you must download and install a GameCube emulator on your device. This emulator enables you to play the game efficiently, and you can run GameCube emulators on platforms such as MAC OS, Microsoft Windows, and even Linux. Dolphin emulator is one of the best GameCube emulators as you can run this emulator on mediums. Sonic Riders

In Sonic Riders, Dr. Eggman challenges Sonic and his friends to a Worldwide Grand Prix, and the prize for coming out on top is an ultra-rare Chaos Emerald! Gliding on air boards – which are performance-oriented for each playable character – gamers will experience a heightened sense of sports-style racing tension as Sonic and his pals perform tricks and stunts over treacherous wide-open terrain.

Sonic and friends speed through tracks on air boards, using individual special moves to strike down opponents. Air is a big element of Sonic Riders. Your board’s «fuel» source is air. You can fill up your air at various points on the course, but to race well you’ll have to use another means of replenishment: performing tricks with your board. You’ll also want to make use of turbulence from racers who are in front of you.

    Problems

    Cut Scenes

Since a TMEM emulation issue introduced in 5.0-4703 videos are broken regardless of settings. They typically will only display a white or black screen while the audio for the clip plays normally. Refer issue 11164 .

    Hero Story Crash

The game may crash after the third level in the Hero Story. To correct this, enable «Speed Up Disc Transfer Rate» in the game properties. An inaccurate fix was made in 4.0-4222 and was reverted in 4.0-5531 . Refer issue 8725 . Was finally fixed in 5.0-2431 .

The issue reoccured in 5.0-13170 with the game crashing while in race after running for about 10 to 15 minutes, and could be corrected with «Speed Up Disc Transfer Rate» enabled. This was fixed in a later revision.

    Slow Model Loading in CSS

After selecting your character and gear during the Character Select Screen, the game will load the model for that respective character-gear combination. This can take up to a second or so. Models load almost instantly with «Speed Up Disc Transfer Rate» enabled.

    Enhancements

    16:9 Aspect Ratio Fix

The built-in Widescreen Hack causes clipping issues. The following Gecko codes work as a replacement, causing fewer issues. To avoid conflicts, make sure that Widescreen Hack is disabled while using these codes.

    NTSC-U

16:9 Widescreen by Muzzarino with HUD elements moved. Seems to not work properly on a few stages (Egg Factory and Sand Ruins).

Sonic Riders Tournament Edition v1.2.5 — A Mod for Sonic Riders (GameCube)

This patcher requires an NTSC-U copy of Sonic Riders (GameCube) to use.

Follow the instructions in the README.txt file for installation.

SRTE Version 1.2 is when the project received a title change from «Netplay Mod». After a community riot was caused by a certain individual forcing in extremely unpopular changes known as «turning characters», a hotfix patch known as SRTE v1.2.1 was created. A few months later with recent developments made by AirKingNeo and growing support to release some of the quality of life changes AirKing had made, SRTE v1.2.5 was released.

SRTE v1.2/v1.2.1 saw the introduction of many new gear designs for gears such as Accelerator (dubbed «Gravity Cannon») , Opa Opa, Super Sonic, Air Broom, Faster, etc. The patch also had some rather cancerous new gear designs for The Crazy, Turbo Star, and Gambler. This patch also saw the changing of E-10000R to Power Type and E-10000G to No Type, and the beginnings of character archetypes (now referred to as «classes»).

SRTE v1.2.5 was the introduction of the ability to ignore turbulence by holding down the Z button (SRTE v1.3 would later introduce a toggle), buffs to speed and acceleration while riding turbulence, changes to dash panels to give additive speed instead of setting your speed (which would often reduce it), and fix deceleration while above 200 speed. All of this was programmed and designed by AirKingNeo.

Disclaimer: The uploader and authors no longer support «Sonic Riders Tournament Edition» due to harassment and criminal offenses from the project’s supposed leader. If you are a fan of the original team’s work, please check out the Sonic Riders DX mod and their community Extreme Gear Labs.

Sonic Riders DX v1.0.1 — A Mod for Sonic Riders (GameCube)

This patcher requires an NTSC-U copy of Sonic Riders (GameCube) to use.

Follow the instructions in the README.txt file for installation.

Sonic Riders DX is a new mod by the original team behind «Sonic Riders Tournament Edition», who left to work on their own 4 months after the release of «SRTE v1.3». This mod continues the work of the original team while adding new content, new gameplay styles on gears, improved stage balance, and more.

SRDX v1.0 features improved shortcut balance across stages by being able to balance individual shortcut pieces, the ability to use Access/Destroyer/Grinder on the same type, Blue Star 2 being available on every character, a new skin for Shadow’s Default Gear, improvements to run state such as jumping and being able to take fly ramps, improvements to weak ramps, a centered timer in multiplayer, the ability to taunt using the C-Stick, stage rebalance by moving item boxes and power objects, and so much more! The centered timer, taunts, and a few other things were programmed by moester_.

SRDX v1.0.1 fixes bugs v1.0 had with memory allocation, Aiai Destroyer not working in Multiplayer, and also adds support for Japanese Voiceover using the following AR/Gecko Code:

    Japanese Voice (AR/Gecko Code)
(Only works on SRDX Version 1.0.1 and later)
