Как настроить и изучить SQL в OS X: выбор версии для установки

Существует несколько различных установок SQL, но эти три являются основными, которые люди используют:

• SQLite. Эта библиотека небольшая и встроена в создаваемое вами приложение. Это избавляет вас от необходимости общаться через порты, и это невероятно быстро. Его набор функций ограничен по сравнению с другими услугами.

Как установить SQLite в OS X

Ubuntu 14.04.X, 15.04.X, 15.10.X and 16.04.X are supported for now (until Launchpad decides to discontinue building for any series).

Ubuntu Precise (12.04) and Utopic (14.10) are not supported:

• Precise does not have a new enough Qt package in its repository by default, which is a dependency
• Launchpad does not support Utopic any more, which has reached its End of Life

What it is

DB Browser for SQLite (DB4S) is a high quality, visual, open source tool to create, design, and edit database files compatible with SQLite.

DB4S is for users and developers who want to create, search, and edit databases. DB4S uses a familiar spreadsheet-like interface, and complicated SQL commands do not have to be learned.

Controls and wizards are available for users to:

• Create and compact database files
• Create, define, modify and delete tables
• Create, define, and delete indexes
• Browse, edit, add, and delete records
• Search records
• Import and export records as text
• Import and export tables from/to CSV files
• Import and export databases from/to SQL dump files
• Issue SQL queries and inspect the results
• Examine a log of all SQL commands issued by the application
• Plot simple graphs based on table or query data

What it is not

This program is not a visual shell for the sqlite command line tool, and does not require familiarity with SQL commands. It is a tool to be used by both developers and end users, and must remain as simple to use as possible in order to achieve these goals.

Build Product Names and Info

Build products are named using one of the following templates:

1. sqlite-product—version.zip
2. sqlite-product—version.tar.gz
3. sqlite-product—os—cpu—version.zip
4. sqlite-product—date.zip

Templates (1) and (2) are used for source-code products. Template (1) is used for generic source-code products and templates (2) is used for source-code products that are generally only useful on unix-like platforms. Template (3) is used for precompiled binaries products. Template (4) is used for unofficial pre-release «snapshots» of source code.

The version is encoded so that filenames sort in order of increasing version number when viewed using «ls». For version 3.X.Y the filename encoding is 3XXYY00. For branch version 3.X.Y.Z, the encoding is 3XXYYZZ.

The date in template (4) is of the form: YYYYMMDDHHMM

For convenient, script-driven extraction of the downloadable file URLs and associated information, an HTML comment is embedded in this page’s source. Its first line (sans leading tag) reads:

Source Code Repositories

The SQLite source code is maintained in three geographically-dispersed self-synchronizing Fossil repositories that are available for anonymous read-only access. Anyone can view the repository contents and download historical versions of individual files or ZIP archives of historical check-ins. You can also clone the entire repository.

The amalgamation source code files (the «sqlite3.c» and «sqlite3.h» files) build products and are not contained in raw source code tree.
