A new, official theme from Microsoft for Windows XP. It’s inspired from Windows Media Center and I believe is the best Window theme ever.

Royale Theme is a great looking theme for Windows XP developed by Microsoft and inspired by the one used on Windows Media Center. This little tool is actually a way to change some elements of the Windows XP GUI, such as the taskbar, the title bar and the start menu.

Installing the software is just a matter of clicks and this is actually the only ‘interface’ of the app the user will meet as it all comes down to pressing ‘Next’ until all the files have been copied on our computer.

After the successful installation, we had to access the ‘Display Properties’ menu and its ‘Appearance Tab’ and just select the Media Center style and the Royal color scheme.

The ace up its sleeve is that Royale Theme comes as a stand-alone add-on, so you won’t have to install other software solutions to change the look of your operating system.

In plain English, that means a minimal footprint on computer resources, especially when thinking that most software solutions designed to modify Windows’ look and feel may sometimes slow down the operating system.

Another good thing is that it doesn’t modify any system files, so you’re on the safe side all the time. On the other hand, you won’t be able to remove the theme automatically, so in case you wish to get rid of all the files, you will have to do the operation by hand.

Overall, Royale Theme is a nice and easy to use visual enhancement that is worth your time and surely deserves at least a try.

здраствуйте, подскажите пожалуйста для чайника! установили WIN 7, гаджеты не включаются выходит ошибка «прекращена работа программы Гаджеты рабочего стола Windows», пробовала решение проблемы №3, выдает ошибку «нет доступа к папке, Вам необходимо разрешение на выполнение этой операции, Запросите разрешение от «TrustedInstaller».

Голословное утверждение. Скрины тестов в студию.

PS Самый страшный вирус = пользователь под админом.

Как решил эту проблему ? Игра после этого запускалась?

The Royale Theme is a slick black theme for Windows XP which originally leaked out of Microsoft and onto the web in 2005.

There’s no way to know but Royale Theme seems to have come out of the new version of Windows Media Centre that Microsoft developed for XP. The Royale theme is remarkably similar to XP’s default Luna theme, but is a much sleeker shade of black. If you are tired of the default theme then you’ll surely find something that appeals in Royale Theme.

The Royale Theme is also a remarkably small download at 2MB so there’s no need to worry that it’s going to slow down your machine, although it does take up slightly more RAM. If you’re on a slow machine, however, you might want to think twice before installing it. The installation is very simple — simply download Royale Theme and run the .EXE and it will ask you automatically where you want to install it. If you choose C:\WINDOWS path the Royale Theme files will automatically be placed in the Resources Folder on your computer.

Once the Royale Theme is installed, you’ll still need to activate it by right-clicking on your desktop, selecting Properties, then Appearance and finally Windows and Buttons. Select the Media Center Style option and click apply and the screen may go black while the theme is applied.

If you’re bored with XP’s default theme, this is an excellent free way to spice up your desktop and Windows itself.

Attractive Royale theme based on Noir and Zune

Royale Remixed Theme will not only change your desktop wallpaper and windows appearance, but it will also replace your system icons, mouse cursors and system sounds with new files. In fact, the Royale Remixed Theme makes Windows look like a completely new — and very attractive — system.

Some time ago Microsoft launched Royale Theme for Windows XP, a slick, elegant blue theme that many adopted immediately. A new Royale theme appeared after that, this time in a very elegant black. However, this dark Royale was not finished and you could clearly tell it needed some polishing. The same happened with the Zune theme created by Microsoft to celebrate the launch of their MP3 player. It seemed someone had leaked them before they had been finished properly.

Bearing that in mind, an independent designer has finished the job, presenting Royale Remixed Theme, a theme for Windows XP that fixes all the bugs in the Noir and Zune themes and adds everything they lacked.

Just bear in mind that Royale Remixed Theme is not as easy to install as it seems. If you have problems, it’s probably because you need to patch a DLL file (see Notes). Also, if you want to customize the shutdown window to match the rest of the system, you’ll have to modify another couple of DLL files. Fortunately, this process is very clearly explained in a TXT document included in Royale Remixed Theme’s ZIP file.

Author’s review

This mod grew from a finishing Royale Noir project to encompass Zune bug fixing as well. If you are a fan of Microsoft’s Royale, this is the only Royale theme you will ever need.

The theme now consists of 3 color schemes, Royale, Royale Noir and Royale Zune. For Royale Noir, Microsoft came 50% of the way, and I went the other 50%, a lot of work and bugfixes was done to finish the theme. For Zune, work was done to better the distasteful orange and many bugfixes implemented that Microsoft messed up.

Темы Windows XP для Windows 10

Если вы поклонник классического стиля Windows XP или просто недовольны внешним видом Windows 10, обязательно попробуйте набор тем из некогда самой популярной операционной системы, который также включает оригинальные обои Windows XP.

В частности, в архиве содержатся следующие стили:

• Windows XP Luna
• Windows XP Silver
• Windows XP Olive Green
• Windows XP Royale Blue
• Windows XP Zune

Чтобы их установить, просто извлеките папку «Windows XP» из скачанного архива и скопируйте ее в C:\Windows\Resources\Themes. Применить любую из этих тем можно в меню «Персонализация».

Темы Windows Vista и 7 для Windows 10

Эффект прозрачности является одной из причин, почему Vista и 7 выглядят столь привлекательно даже сейчас, спустя многие годы после их дебюта. Тем не менее, ступив на путь упрощения пользовательского интерфейса Microsoft решила отказаться от Aero Glass сначала в Windows 8, а затем и в Windows 10 (хотя справедливости ради стоит отметить, что в последней эффект прозрачности присутствует в меню «Пуск» и центре уведомлений).

К сожалению, добавить Aero Glass в Windows 10 нельзя просто установив тему. Для этого вам потребуется еще один инструмент, к которому мы вернемся чуть позже. А пока вы можете скачать визуальные стили, которые позволят вам перенести частичку Vista и/или 7 в новую ОС от Microsoft. Чтобы их установить, скопируйте папку «Vista» и/или «Aero 7» в C:\Windows\Resources\Themes.

Тема Windows 8/8.1 для Windows 10

Визуально у новой и двух предыдущих версий операционной системы много общего. Однако если внешний вид «восьмерки» вам все же нравится больше, и вы хотите, чтобы 10-ка выглядела в точности так же, тогда попробуйте следующую тему:

Как включить прозрачность Aero Glass в Windows 8 или 10

Наконец, как и обещал, возвращаемся к прозрачности. Если вы хотите, чтобы сторонние темы Vista и 7 еще больше напоминали оригинальные, воспользуйтесь помощью утилиты Aero Glass for Win8.1+. Инструмент потребляет очень мало системных ресурсов и работает весьма стабильно. Более того, Aero Glass for Win8.1+ полностью интегрируется в системный компонент (DWM), который отвечает за прозрачность и другие эффекты, а потому обеспечиваемая им прозрачность сопровождается эффектом размытия.
