The Crew – симулятор гоночных поединков, дающий возможность создать свою уникальную спортивную машину. Сюжет повествует вам о профессиональном гонщике Алексе Тейлоре. Он и его старший брат занимались организацией нелегальных гонок. Некоторое время спустя, сотрудники ФБР обнаружили их. Полицейские убивают основателя данного мероприятия, а братьев сажают в тюрьму. Героям предлагают уменьшить срок, но взамен им придется работать в правоохранительных органах. Наш протагонист отказывается от такого предложения и объявляет войну всем слугам закона.

На выбор дано более 100 видов спортивных машин, они обладают разными характеристиками, но спокойно подвергаются апгрейду. В машине можно поменять всё: внешний вид, техническую составляющую и добавить аксессуары. В игре представлен огромный открытый мир. Вся территория поделена на 5 регионов со своими труднопроходимыми участками. Каждая локация имеет ловушки, расставленные в самых неожиданных местах.

Геймер может проводить многочисленные модификации своего автомобиля. Собирайте детали кузова, меняйте цветовую гамму или купите новый транспорт. Перед каждым заездом нужно менять детали автомобиля, это помогает приспособиться к суровым условиям открытого мира. Каждая зона обладает индивидуальным ландшафтом.
