Thinkvantage gps windows 10

I have recently upgraded from Vista to Win7 on my trusty old X200 Tablet. Shortly after, I have updated all the ThinkVantage applications and drivers to the latest versions for Win7. So far, I am unable to make the GPS work (under GPS Enabler v2.7). After the GPS Enabler has been selected, an error message window pops up: «GPS Enabler has stopped working.»

—> «Check online for a solution and close the program»

—> «Close the program»

Clicked on the first option but came back with nothing.

So, I clicked on the «View problem details» button and they are as follows:

curious to know which version of Win 7 do you have installed ? And when you were on Vista, was the GPS working ?

If its possible, could you uninstall the GPS software from your system and then redownload the software from

then reinstall it. would love to know the results.

What kind of WWAN card do you have? The driver of the WWAN card for Vista and Windows 7 might be different.

ThinkVantage GPS (Global Positioning System) receives signals from the GPS satellites and determines the location of your ThinkPad. The following package contains the drivers for several devices, including Qualcomm HS-USB and 2000 HS-USB. Sierra Wireless MC8355-Gobi 3000 HS-USB as well as Ericsson F3507g, F3607gw and F5521gw.
