Tibbo Device Server Toolkit

Данный программный пакет распространяется бесплатно, входит в комплект поставки Tibbo модулей.

Connection Wizard — мастер подключений, который шаг за шагом поможет создать вам соединение между компьютером и устройством Tibbo или между двумя устройствами Tibbo.

• Сокращает время настройки соединений
• Поддерживает набор сценариев (WAN, пакетные задания)
• Устанавливает соединения типа: VSP—конвертер, TCP/UDP—конвертер и «конвертер—конвертер».
• Простой процесс установки «шаг-за-шагом». Потребуется не более одной минуты, чтобы завершить все работы по настройке устройства.
• Корректно работает даже с удаленными устройствами.

DS Manager — используется для обнаружения, установки, управления, мониторинга и прошивки устройств Tibbo.

• Автоматически обнаруживает все локальные устройства, даже с некорректным IP-адресом

• Посылает сигнал (мигания светодиодов) устройствам, для их физического обнаружения
• Режим Auto-Discovery — отображает устройства в сети LAN.

Драйвер Виртуального COM-порта (VSPD) — Создает виртуальный COM-порт на компьютере и связывает его с конвертером Tibbo через Ethernet таким образом, будто последовательный порт конвертера является COM-портом компьютера. VSP Manager предназначен для создания и управления Виртуальными COM-портами(VSP).

Tibbo Monitor — регистрирует активность виртуальных COM-портов. Остается незаменимым инструментом в устранении неполадок связи в системах, где используются виртуальные COM-порты.

Tibbo Device Server Toolkit (TDST)

Our TDST software for Windows includes the Virtual Serial Port Driver (VSPD) and a set of useful management utilities.

The Driver allows you to access your Device Server’s serial ports as if they were real COM ports of your PC. Your «serial» PC software won’t notice any difference from real COM ports.

Connection Wizard

Connection Wizard guides you through creating data links between a PC and a Device Server, or between two Device Servers.

It takes about a minute to go through a typical Connection Wizard configuration process, including the creation of a Virtual COM and the selection and setup of the corresponding Device Server.

The Wizard assists you in creating three types of connections:

• Virtual COM to Device Server
• Direct TCP or UDP to Device Server
• Device Server to Device Server

This utility is smart enough to assist you with complex tasks, such as the creation of «reverse» Virtual COM to Device Server links. Reverse links are necessary when the Device Server is not «visible» from the Virtual COM’s PC and must be tasked with «connecting back» to that PC.

DS Manager

The DS Manager utility is used to locate, setup, manage and monitor Tibbo Device Servers*.

DS Manager automatically discovers all compatible Tibbo devices connected to your LAN segment, including those with invalid (not yet configured) IP addresses.

Click Refresh and the DS Manager finds all Device Servers on your LAN segment.

Double-click on any entry in the list and the DS Manager will retrieve the list of configurable parameters (settings) for this device.

Remote devices are managed through the «address book» of IP addresses that you edit manually.

DS Manager can also configure Device Servers through their serial ports.

* As well as other devices supporting the DS Manager protocol.

VSP Manager

The Virtual Serial Port (VSP) Manager utility allows you to add, delete, and configure Virtual COMs*.

Here are a few features of the VSP Manager (and the underlying VSP driver):

• The routing mode defines whether it is a Virtual COM that will connect to a Device Server, or a Device Server will be making «reverse» connections back to a Virtual COM.
• As your «serial» PC software changes the parameters (baud rate, parity, etc.) of a Virtual COM, on-the-fly commands sent to the corresponding Device Server change the configuration of its serial port accordingly.
• Real-time exchange of RTS, CTS, DTR, and DSR signals between a Virtual COM and the serial port of a Device Server results in the true COM port emulation.
• MAC-to-IP mapping allows using the DHCP on your (locally connected) Device Server. Identified by its MAC and not the IP address, your Device Server will still be reachable by its Virtual COM even after the Device Server’s IP changes.

* Although the Connection Wizard will perform the configuring for you most of the time, the VSP Manager may still be needed occasionally.

Port Monitor

The Monitor logs all activity of Virtual Serial Ports on your PC.

It is an indispensable tool for troubleshooting communications problems between your Virtual COMs and Device Servers.

Virtual Serial Port Driver for Linux (VSPDL)

The Virtual Serial Port Driver for Linux (VSPDL) brings Tibbo Virtual Serial Ports (VSPs) into the Linux environment.

VSPDL features closely mimic those of its Windows counterpart — if you are familiar with the VSPD for Windows you will instantly recognize most of the user-definable parameters in the VSPDL configuration file.

The VSPDL package includes:

• Virtual Serial Port Driver for tty port emulation and redirection.
• The DSNetCMD utility for setting up Tibbo Device Servers using configuration commands.
• The Netloader utility to upload new firmware onto Tibbo devices via the network.

Многоплатформенные средства разработки для LTPS

Этот файл — инсталляционный сценарий, разработанный только для хостов Linux i586. Он содержит полный набор многоплатформенных средств, таких как gcc, make, node, npm, библиотеки для разработчика, заголовки и пр.

Для установки данного сценария не требуется пароль пользователя корневого каталога. Сценарий запускается на любых современных дистрибутивах Linux.

The firmware files below comprise the compiled Serial-over-IP Tibbo BASIC application, combined with TiOS firmware and ready to run.

Firmware for EM120, EM200, EM203(A), DS203(A)

There are two firmware builds — «R» and «D». Choose the right file depending on your device’s model number.

Firmware for EM100, DS100

The firmware below is for the following devices:

Choose the SN build if you are performing an upgrade through the serial port, and the S build if you’re upgrading through the network.

Older devices: Tibbo no longer releases firmware upgrades for the EM100-00/-01/-02, or the DS100-00/-01/-02.

Tibbo OS (TiOS) Firmware

Monitor/Loader (M/L) Update for EM2000, TPP2(G2), and TPP3(G2) devices

When equipped with the WA2000 Wi-Fi/BLE add-on, our EM2000, TPP2(G2), and TPP3(G2) now support over-the-air (OTA) firmware updates. This will only work if your EM2000, TPP2(G2), or TPP3(G2) is running the M/L V3.00B (or a later version).

• .BIN files: Use the Device Explorer utility (a part of our Tibbo IDE (TIDE) software) to update your Tibbo device using .BIN files. Updates can be performed via the Ethernet or UART of your Tibbo device.
• .TCU files: Use the Tibbo Updater app to update your WM2000 or WA2000-equipped Tibbo device via the Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) interface. These files — created by the .TCU File Generator — update not just TiOS, but also the firmware of the WA2000 Wi-Fi/BLE add-on module.

LTPS Firmware Images and Updates

Cross-Platform Development Tools for LTPS

This file is an installation script. It is designed for Linux i586 hosts only. It contains a full set of cross-development tools, such as gcc, make, node, npm, development libs and headers, etc.

The installation of this script does not require root credentials. The script runs on any modern Linux distributions.

The primary posting area for these files is the LTPS Firmware Images and Updates area in the LTPS File Collection Zone*. We recommend you to periodically check this location for the latest updates.

VSPDL is distributed as a gzipped TAR archive and RPM package. System requirements and the installation procedure can be found here.

VSPDL

This release was tested in CentOS 6.3, Mandriva 2011, OpenSuse 12.1, OpenSuse 12.2, Debian 6.0.6, Ubuntu 12.04, and Mageia 4.5.

Note: you don’t need x86_64 for now, it is binary-compatible.

TiOS Monitor/Loader Update

Two things are required for OTA updates to work:

• Your device (EM2000, EM2001, TPP2(G2), or TPP3(G2)) must be equipped with the WA2000 Wi-Fi/BLE add-on module;
• Your device must have the Monitor/Loader V3.00B (or a later version)**.

The Monitor/Loader (M/L) is a resident firmware that is present on all Tibbo devices. The M/L V3.00B added support for Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) OTA firmware updates. Many EM2000, TPP2(G2), and TPP3(G2) devices in the field were shipped prior to the release of the M/L V3.00B. To enjoy OTA firmware updates, you will need to update the M/L of your ARM-based Tibbo device as described below.
