Just got a chance to test out the Linux install and I couldn’t be more impressed. Worked flawlessly. I even like the launcher more than the windows version

Segmentation Fault(signal 11) on ubuntu 18.10 with nvidia 4.10 driver, i tred reinstall the system but still have the same problem.

Can someone tell me what is the Alt key equivalent for this game? In Total War Warhammer 1, you could use the F2 key for moving your army while locking formation. But F2 does not appear to work in this game. This puts me at a disadvantage while commanding my armies.

It’s not a performance issue. The problem is that for some reason the game will not install the ‘Blood for the Blood God’ DLC and thus is unable to render the blood effects. Without them, the game runs perfectly fine on my RX470.

Will this function with an EGPU on macOS?

Thanks for the reply, but unfortunately this doesn’t help. The Alt key is generally a shortcut on most Linux desktop environments, therefore might not be usable in many cases. Total War Warhammer 1 worked around this by using F2 as an alternative and it worked. I have spent many hours in Total War Warhammer 1 using F2 and I have gotten quite used to it.

However, in Total War Warhammer 2, there is no alternative. The Alt key refuses to work altogether. Even the control settings in the game does not display the F2 key alternative (under Advanced), while Total War Warhammer 1 did.

I think this will probably require a patch since there is no alternative I can think of.

PS: I am on Linux Mint with Cinnamon.

Feral Interactive. My Wife and I bought the game to play multiplayer CO-OP, but the game keeps crashing. Specifically when one of us starts a battle the game begins to fade out the Campaign map then it goes black and the Kernel Locks up with TWWH2 stuck in «D» state uninteruptable sleep. Seems to be tied to the Nvidia Kernel. But I have pushed my machine all the way ahead to 415 but still no luck, then I brought mine back to 390. It is often the non-hosting computer, but that is not always the case. Also sometimes we can actually fight and play a battle, yet nothing changes. It is definitely a bug in CA’s software that needs to be debugged. I have also read of hundreds of Windows users having the same issue.

Both Computers are Linux Mint 18.3 x64 Kernel 4.15.0-39-generic running Nvidia 390 drivers. Vulkan installed and verified. MSI GP62 2QE Leopard Pro. Mine has an i5 with a turbo of 3.4 and hers has an i7 with a turbo of 2.9 . Both run TWWH1 fine. But I do remember having black screen issues with it intially too. It seems like CA re-introduced the same bug again.
