1. Repair Microsoft .NET Framework installation

.NET Framework is used for all sorts of applications on Windows platform, ranging from system applications to video games. Almost every Windows operating system has .NET Framework installed, but sometimes this framework can cause all sorts of problems.

2. When Registry Editor opens, in the left pane navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREPoliciesMicrosoftWindowsScriptedDiagnostics key.
3. Right click the ScriptedDiagnostics key and choose Delete from the menu.
4. After that, locate ScriptedDiagnosticsProvider key and delete it as well. This key should be located just below the ScriptedDiagnostics key.
5. After you’re done, close Registry Editor and check if the problem is resolved.

If you’re unable to find these keys in your registry, it’s probably the best to simply skip this solution.

6. Temporary disable .NET Framework

1. Open Notepad.
2. When Notepad opens, paste the following lines:

   • net start wuauserv

   • echo Restarting Computer
   • shutdown.exe -r -t 00
3. Click on File > Save as.
   
4. Now set Save as type to All Files and set the File name to update.bat. Click Save to save the file.
   
5. Locate the update.bat file that you just created, right click it and choose Run as administrator. After all commands are executed, your PC will restart.

After your PC restarts, check if the problem is resolved.

8. Run the sfc scan

If your Windows 10 installation is damaged, you might experience these types of problems on your PC. One way to fix these problems is to run sfc scan and let it scan your PC.

d. Type ‘sfc /scannow’ without quotes and hit enter.

I ran sfc /scanow and it found no integrity violations

I ran DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Scanhealth and it found no component store corruption detected

I ran DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth and the restore operation completed successfully

I exited and tried to run the Troubleshooter and it still cycles continuously with no resolution. The only way I could stop it was thru the Task Manager to end process.

I did a restart and had the same results.

The Troubleshooter does not work in any application. and I always have to use Task Manager to stop it.
