Sierra actually made a Mac version of Caesar III. Are there any plans to bring out this version?

I am one of the 12,000 people who bought it (the Windows version sold something like over 300,000 copies). This game is the reason I still hold onto my lime green iMac G3/333 Rev. D from 1999.

After the game came out, I read somewhere that the Mac version of the game was better — the maps were bigger of each city on the Mac version.

This is how much I want the Mac version of the game — the desire is apparently causing me to have hallucinations, because I could swear that the icon for Macs was listed beside the Caesar III name, I went to download the Mac version tonight and was surprised it was not there.

The sales of Caesar III for Mac were so poor it caused Sierra to stop development of the Mac version of Pharaoh. The game was so far along in development that my manual for Pharaoh has instructions on how to install the game on a Mac.

The Mac version was made for the classic OS, not OSX, there are no emulators for classic OS Mac (well there are . but insanely difficult to use and run, so for both technical and business reasons impossible for GOG to implement).

You can run this version using Wine for OSX. If GOG ever does come out with a Mac version, that’s what it will be (not the classic version Sierra made) — but you can do it yourself with some small effort.

I had completely overlooked the change from OS9 to OSX and all that entailed.

I have looked at the emulators for running OS9 on an OSX machine. I have original OS9 disks and an old lime iMac, so I have the materials I need. However the ethernet on the iMac does not work and the instructions for SheepShaver etc. are just beyond the reach of my computer skills — I could almost swear every time I look at them they say something different.

I tried to run the Mac Ceasar III on a Mac Mini in classic mode when the Minis. The game ran but the lag time was terrible. Caesar III is one of two reasons I keep that iMac around.

Like I said in my first post, the maps on the Mac version are supposed to be bigger than the same maps on the PC version. I found the PC version in a bargain bin and compared the maps on it to the maps on the Mac version, but it’s been too long for me to remember details.

Вроде пылесос то нормальный и убирается неплохо, однако не хватает голосовых пакетов, желательно, что бы свой добавить можно было

Ужасное приложение

1. Нет функции «построить карту». Сначала нужно построить план помещения, а потом уже по нему убирать. Но нет, он начинает сразу убирать. Помещение большое, комнат много, пришлось несколько раз сбрасывать карту и начинать сначала и запускать на уборку на малой мощности, чтобы он построил карту.

2. Робот идёт на свою базу не по прямой, а какими-то зигзагами, по всем стенкам (но может это следствие первого пункта).

3. Не смогло подключиться к роботу сразу, зависало на стадии регистрации в Smart Cloud. Помогла регистрация в таком же приложении на Андроид.

4. Робот идёт на базу при 20% заряда. Достаточно было бы идти при 5%.

5. Карту нельзя вращать.

6. Если переместить базу, приложение сбрасывает карту. И даже после возврата базы на прежнее место и загрузки сохранённой карты — сбрасывает карту и начинает сканировать заново.

Не работает.

У меня U90. Карту не запоминает! Каждая уборка начинается с нового построения карты! Поддержка в переписке говорит, что эта модель карту не запоминает и чтобы поставить зону уборки или виртуальную стену, сначала нужно начинать с построения пириметра, а потом уже в нём рисовать, чего продавцы конечно не рассказывали. Получается просто пылесос с кнопками вкл.-выкл. и на базу. Всё это есть на пульте ДУ. Как-то дороговато для такого минимального функционала. Развод и лхотрон. Народ не покупайте.
