Undertale is a dark, Japanese-style role-playing video game developed by indie developer Toby Fox. The game is set in a world in which an underground alternate universe is in existence in which the old world and the new are different. In this world, people called the Calimero live. Undertale is a 2D action-adventure video game developed by indie game designer Toby Fox, who also happens to be a big fan of Japanese animation, and worked as an illustrator before turning to game development. The game’s story follows a young boy growing up in the underground, who one day finds himself falling into an unknown world called Undertale. The boy then meets several monsters along the way, and uses his newfound powers to fight them off and return to the Surface.

This isn’t the first game in the franchise though, and is clearly a follow up on the success enjoyed with the first Undertale game. The monsters in Undertale are very similar to those found in many modern RPGs, but the overall tone is much different. Unlike most video games, where you basically hack and slash to do damage to opponents, in Undertale you have a variety of attacks. You can combo your enemies, attack from the side, and even Dodge attacks, depending on the skill you’ve gained. The fighting in Undertale is much more interactive than most dogs.

The battle system in Undertale follows a simplistic system where you attack and defend yourself by locking eyes and pressing buttons on the controller. The fighting system in Undertale feels smooth and doesn’t have any real intricacies, but it is enough to make the game enjoyable. The music and sound effects are well done and help convey the feel of a real world town filled with monsters and puzzles to solve. For fans of hidden objects, or just anyone looking for an excellent action-packed RPG that has lots to offer, Undertale has a lot to offer.
