Драйвера для EyeToy Namtai

Для тех, кто хочет воспользоваться камерой от Sony PlayStation 2 под названием EyeToy Namtai в качестве вебкамеры подключив ее к компьютеру придется немного попотеть при поиске подходящего драйвера под Windows 7 или Windows xp.

Потратил кучу времени, я всеже нашел способ подключить эту камеру к компьютеру под управлением Windows 7. Drivers для EyeToy Namtai выложены на многих сайтах, но скачать просто нереально – либо подписки, либо платные архивы, либо ссылки уже сдохли.

Как подключить EyeToy Namtai к компьютеру

Для начала подключаем вебкамеру к компьютеру и наблюдаем в диспетчере устройств как она распозналась. См. скриншот ниже.

Затем скачиваем драйвер для EyeToy Namtai , который выложил я на файлообменник.

После нажимаем в диспетчере устройств на нашей подключенной вебкамере к которой нет драйверов правой клавишей мыши и выбираем пункт «обновить драйвер». В всплывающем окне выбираем ручной способ и указываем ему папочку с драйвером, который скачали по ссылке выше.

Драйвер будет благополучно устанавливаться и позавершению установки вам вылезет следующее окно (скриншот ниже), жмите YES.

Вот в принципе и все. В качестве результатов работы, предоставляю скриншот работы вебкамеры EyeToy Namtai в приложении Skype, которая направлена на монитор.

Sorry silly customah you cannot have de camera.

Not true. I have used this camera successfully with the PC. With the 32 bit and 64 bit versions of Windows 7, by making some changes to the ini file of the Hercules Classic driver.

After you download the file

Extract the folder

Then go to Start>Computer>Right Click Manage (you need admin Permission to perform this operation)

Make sure your eye toy is on

Then go to device manager and right click on yoou eyetoy (namtai or logitech) then go to update driver software>Browse>choose the Let me pick from a list button>have disk>it will take you to a browse menu>Choose the folder you extacted then Double click on HCLASSIC.INF . this will 100% work I’ve tried it I’m sure.

This is the reported working driver for EyeToy Namtai USB camera if you are planning to use it on your Windows PC or notebooks. From what I see there are two types of EyeToy drivers, one is for Namtai and the other one is for Logitech EyeToy camera. Not sure if they are similar so make sure you are downloading and installing the one meant for your EyeToy USB camera.

EyeToy Namtai USB Camera Driver Installation

1. Download and unzip namtai-eyetoy-driver.zip into a temporary folder e.g. c:\eyetoy\
2. After plugging in your EyeToy into a free USB port, you will see the yellow exclamation mark eside «EyeToy USB camera Namtai» under Imaging devices in Device Manager.

Right click on «EyeToy USB camera Namtai» and select «Update Driver».

Select «No, not this time» when a Welcom to the Hardware Update Wizard windows prompted.

Select «Install from a list or specific location (Advanced)» when prompted for the driver path.

You might see this small windows with title «sel3110», just click OK.

Select the correct power frequency based on your current location.

Restart your PC and your EyeToy USB camera Namtai will be completed. To see if the driver working, run VIDCAP32.exe (located inside the zip driver file).
