Состоялся релиз V-Ray 5 для Cinema 4D.
V-Ray 5 для Ciname 4D официально вышел из версии Beta 2. Пользователям Cinema 4D стали доступны ключевые функции V-Ray 5, среди которых рендеринг с ускорением RTX, шумоподавление AI, а также встроенные функции композитинга и повторного освещения в буфере кадра.
Стоит отметить, что V-Ray 5 для Ciname 4D включает в себя также функции из V-Ray Next, ключевыми из которых являются «умный рендеринг», предназначенный для сокращения времени настройки сцены, как например автоматическая экспозиция и баланс белого. Также добавлены функции рендеринга вне ядра и аппаратно ускоренная трассировка лучей на графических процессорах Nvidia RTX текущего поколения. Был внедрён шумоподавитель OptiX, на базе искусственного интеллекта Nvidia с GPU ускорением.
Обновление улучшает интеграцию между V-Ray и Cinema 4D, со слов разработчиков новый рендер, материал и настройки камеры могут «вдвое сократить время настройки». Версия для Cinema 4D также имеет значительно улучшенный пользовательский интерфейс для освещения сцен.
Среди новых функций в окончательном релизе можно отметить материал VRayMultiSubTex, используемый для объединения нескольких текстур в один материал, а также поддержку сканов из библиотеки VRscans Chaos Group.
V-Ray 5 для Cinema 4D доступен для Cinema 4D R20 и выше, работающего на 64 битной Windows 8.1 и macOS 10/14 и выше. Софт предоставляется только в аренду и его стоимость составляет 80$ в месяц или 470$ в год.
