Vector Magic
С помощью программы можно конвертировать растровые изображения в векторные. Приложение позволяет указать количество цветов и настроить параметры преобразования.
Vector Magic – приложение для Windows, представляющее собой конвертер изображений. С помощью программы пользователи могут преобразовать растровые картинки в векторные. Это позволит осуществлять масштабирование рисунков без потери качества. Утилита поддерживает формат JPG, PNG, BMP, TIFF и другие. Также есть возможность импортировать изображения из Adobe Photoshop.
Преобразование
После запуска приложения необходимо указать путь к файлам или перетащить картинки на рабочую область. Программа позволяет выполнить конвертацию в автоматическом режиме. Для этого нужно выбрать в меню пункт Fully Automatic. Есть возможность преобразовать сразу несколько картинок. При этом время обработки зависит от размера и количества файлов.
Поддерживается функция предварительного просмотра. Стоит отметить, что пробная версиями утилиты не позволяет сохранять изображения.
Настройка
Для того, чтобы выбрать параметры конвертации, необходимо активировать базовый или расширенный режим. При этом пользователи смогут вручную задать нужные настройки. Например, программа позволяет выбрать количество и тип смешения цветов. Кроме того, есть возможность указать степень прозрачности. Free Trial
The Desktop Edition is free to try — just download and install it. Saving of results is disabled in the trial version, but there is full preview capability. When you buy a license you get a product key that you can use to activate the software and enable saving of the results.
Activation turns the free trial into the full version — no additional downloads necessary.
Your computer has to be connected to the internet during activation.
Upgrading To A New Version
To upgrade from a previous version, just download the latest version and install it.
Activations are preserved, so if you had already activated the old version, then the new version will be activated as well (there is no need to re-enter your product key).
Exception: with v1.12 for Windows there was a change that requires re-activation (will not count towards total activations on machines with a previous version activated).

Does it work on my computer?
Supported operating systems
Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, 8, and 10 (desktop, not mobile) and Mac OS X 10.7 and higher are the officially supported operating systems.
The program does not work on earlier versions of Windows or OS X. There is no Linux version.
Supported hardware
The algorithms employed by Vector Magic use advanced features available only in modern processors and significant amounts of memory (memory consumption depends on the size of your input image with larger images requiring more memory).
This means that you need to have a computer with at least a pentium III class processor and a recommended minimum of 512 megabytes of RAM. For larger (>1,000×1,000 pixels) images we recommend 1 gigabyte of RAM or more.
The maximum size of images that you are able to process with the desktop application depends on the available memory.
Please download and install the trial version to make sure you can process your images before buying a license.
Image Size Limitations
The Desktop Edition for Windows has a hard image size limitation of 20 Megapixels (e.g. 4,000 x 5,000 pixels, though we don’t enforce an aspect ratio).
The Desktop Edition for Mac has a hard image size limitation of 5 Megapixels (e.g. 2,000 x 2,500 pixels, though we don’t enforce an aspect ratio).
Furthermore, each image megapixel requires 100 megabytes of available RAM (= not used by other programs) or 200 megabytes of physical RAM, whichever is less restrictive.
So in order to process a 20 megapixel image, your machine would need at least 2 gigabytes of available RAM, OR at least 4 gigabytes of physical RAM.
How do I activate the software?
Once issued, copy your product key (select it and press Ctrl-C), then start Vector Magic Desktop Edition. The activation wizard will pop up, auto-detecting the product key on the clipboard. Type in the remaining registration information and click activate. A few moments later your software will be activated for unlimited use.
Be sure to be connected to the internet when activating the software.
If you’ve bought a license you can always view your product key on your my account page.
What if I upgrade or change my computer?
The activation system is built to automatically support standard upgrade behaviors, so this will normally just work.

Vector Magic — удобный конвертер растровых изображений в векторные. Если не вдаваться в технические подробности, то основное отличие векторной графики от растровой заключается в отсутствии эффекта «пикселизации» при масштабировании. То есть такие изображения легко «растягиваются» до нужных размеров при этом не теряя в качестве. С помощью данного конвертера можно произвести «векторизацию» буквально в пару кликов. Просто загружаете в программу растровое изображение в формате JPG, PNG, BMP, GIF, PSD или TIFF, нажимаете на клавишу «Next», выбираете режим «Fully Automatic» и получаете векторное.
Помимо полностью автоматического режима, Vector Magic поддерживает полуавтоматический («Basic») и расширенный («Advanced»). В полуавтоматическом режиме программа потребует указать несколько вводных параметров «векторизации». В частности, тип изображения (снимок или логотип), его качество, а также количество и тип смешения цветов. Режим «Advanced» отличается от «Basic» лишь необходимостью выбора типа палитры.
Vector Magic умеет обрабатывать изображения и в «пакетном» режиме, то есть применять выбранные параметры сразу к нескольким изображениям. Стоит заметить, что при загрузке в программу большого количества файлов, процесс их «векторизации» может занять большое количество времени (особенно на слабых компьютерах). Из исходных форматов доступны EPS, SVG and PDF.
Не смотря на название программы, «магии» при векторизации изображений не происходит. Довольно часто на исходных изображениях появляются графические артефакты, избавиться от которых не помогает даже смена режима обработки. В общем, Vector Magic — это конечно очень мощный, но далеко не идеальный конвертер.
