After alleged successful install of VFPOLEDB — no errors

Using ODBCAD32 in Syswow64 and trying to create a new DSN only the standard file options are available unlike all previous OS when vfp file types were available.

How can this be made to work?

Need to access VFP through Excel and Access

This works on Win 7 x64 and an in place upgrade to Win 10 but not on a clean win 10 install.

If you have installed Microsoft OLE DB Provider for Visual FoxPro 9.0 successfully, please try the following steps to access the Visual FoxPro databases in Excel:

Go to Data tab, click Get External Data > From Other Sources > From Data Connection Wizard, in the Data Connection Wizard dialog, select Other/Advanced and click Next. In Data Provider tab, select Microsoft OLE DB Provider for Visual FoxPro:
