Группа The Violets создана 9.01.2011 года, на развалинах группы Stinky Toys, Смирновым Кириллом (вокал гитара) и Дмитрием Павловым (бас). Позже присоединился барабанщик Филипп Жуков, с которым в 2011 году был записан первый альбом группы, под названием «Deep inside».
Группа дала некоторое количество концертов, после чего пришлось расстаться с барабанщиком.
В 2012 году к The Violets присоединяется Никита Кожевников (барабаны)
Группа нарабатывает материал в основном из песен собственного сочинения и продолжает давать концерты с сессионным гитаристом Павлом Иксарем.
В 2013 году выходит альбом «Black bay leaves» и к группе присоединяется Александр Зайцев (гитара)
2013 — 2016:
The Violets работают над новым альбомом, запись и сведение которого происходит с помощью усилий самих музыкантов. В середине 2015го на постоянной основе к группе присоединяется Павел Иксарь (гитара).
2016 — 2019:
«The Violets — Reflexio» так был назван 3й альбом группы.
Рефле́ксия (от позднелат. reflexio — обращение назад) — это обращение внимания субъекта на самого себя и на своё сознание, в частности, на продукты собственной активности, а также какое-либо их переосмысление. В частности, — в традиционном смысле, — на содержания и функции собственного сознания, в состав которых входят личностные структуры (ценности, интересы, мотивы), мышление, механизмы восприятия, принятия решений, эмоционального реагирования, поведенческие шаблоны и т. д.
Альбом являлся результатом 3х летних раздумий и переживаний и был записан в виде единой композиции (нон стоп).
Группа дает концерты продолжает работу.
2019 — настоящее время:
«The Violets — Rockets in your space» — состоит из 8 песен. Тематика и концепция альбома проста: «Остановите планету, я сойду»
Так же было решено направить альбом на «сырое и простое звучание» Эффектов использовалось минимум.
К группе присоединяется Роман Грушевой (бас гитара)
Группа продолжает работу.
