Hey there everybody! Welcome to the We Were Here FAQ with the answers to some commonly asked questions.

Q: What is We Were Here?
A: We Were Here is the first part of a series of first-person cooperative puzzle adventures. They share a story, but can be played in any order.

Q: Is We Were Here free?
A: Yes, We Were Here is free to download on Steam! There are no microtransactions or any type of payment involved. It serves as a pilot episode to let people try the We Were Here experience.

Q: Are there more We Were Here games?
A: Yes! You can play the original We Were Here to get a taste for the series, enjoy the sequel We Were Here Too, or the latest game in the series: We Were Here Together!

Q: Do I need We Were Here to be able to play other We Were Here games?
A: No, all We Were Here games are standalone.

Q: Will there be a mobile version of We Were Here?
A: For now we have no plans to develop a mobile version of We Were Here or We Were Here Too, but you never know what the future may bring.

Q: I can’t connect to my partner in We Were Here. What can I do?
A: First check that your game isn’t restricted by firewall settings. You could also check the in-game language filter options — if you don’t have the same language selection, you will not be able to find your friend. Also make sure your UDP ports are open.

Q: Are the We Were Here games available on other platforms?
A: We Were Here and the sequel We Were Here Too are both available on Xbox One! We plan to release We Were Here Together on Xbox one in the future.

There are currently no definite plans for releases on other consoles than Xbox One.

Q: Will crossplay be possible between PC and Xbox One?
A: Regretfully it will not be possible for PC players to match with console players.

Q: Will there be Linux support?
A: We’re afraid that it isn’t practical for us to support Linux at this time. We have no plans for adding support in future.

to fix this issue you need to right click on the game in your steam library select properties. Then set launch options then type in -screen-fullscreen 0 the game should work

We Were Here

Lost and separated in an abandoned castle set in a frozen wasteland. Your only possession left is a walkie-talkie with a familiar voice on the other end. Can the both of you find your way out in time?

In We Were Here both players are trapped inside an abandoned castle. Player One is confined to a small secluded part of the castle. Player Two roams the castle trying to find Player One. Every room challenges their wits and their ability to communicate clearly, using only their voice.

Are you ready to find out how well you and your friends work together? If you like living on the edge, try playing it with a complete stranger.

• Inspired by titles such as: Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes, Amnesia: The Dark Descent and real-life escape rooms.
