Will Rock: Гибель богов – это классический шутер, берущий вдохновение от известной серии «стрелялок» Serious Sam. Вы берёте управление за студента археологического факультета Виллфорда Роквелла, который с группой учёных обнаружили древний храм. Как удаётся выяснить, в нём заточены боги Древней Греции, включая наивысшего из них – Зевса. Но появляется группа загадочных охотников под названием Олимпийская Армия Возрождения, освободившая всех мифологических существ. И только вы, с покровителем в лице Прометея, сможете остановить множество древнегреческих существ, и спасти девушку протагониста – Эмму.
Геймплей целиком состоит из убийства огромного количества злобных монстров. Враги будут всячески окружать геймера, и появляться из непредвиденных точек возрождения. Также, по местности разбросаны вспомогательные предметы, наподобие батутов, бочек с порохом, и катапульт. Нашлось место летающим супостатам, и энергетически защищённым противникам. В общем, доступно 10 уровней для одиночного или кооперативного прохождения, которые поделены на 40 левелов. В каждом из них будут тривиальные задания, по достижению определённой цели, либо босс-файты, приправленные особенностями окружающей местности.
В проекте предлагается воспользоваться несколькими видами вооружения:
- Shovel – лопатка ближнего боя, обладающая неплохой убойной силой.
- Pistol – неограниченный по запасу патронов пистолет, наносит маленький урон.
- Shotgun – разительный дробовик, наиболее эффективный против скелетов. Но включает в себя частую и долгую перезарядку.
- Machine Gun – убойный пулемёт, с непрерывным режимом стрельбы. Полезен в случае больших скоплений недругов.
- Sniper Crossbow – необычный снайперский арбалет, имеющий приближающий прицел. Убивает супостатов в течение нескольких секунд.
- Acid – кислотная пушка, которой нельзя пользоваться под водой.
- Fireball Thrower – медленный метатель огненных фаерболов.
- Medusa – превращающее в камень оружие. Останавливает регенерацию и обладает высоким темпом стрельбы.
- Atomic Gun – самый мощный аналог ядерной портативной станции. Наносит разрушительный урон всем, кого коснётся последующая волна.
