Event ID 642 causes blackout in Windows 10
Hi guys. My windows 10 is updated to the lastest version as of now.
For the past few days, it keeps shows warnings ID 642, each of the event looks like below.
Sometimes it does nothing particular, but sometimes it is followed by black screen for some seconds, which is irritating.
I deleted the Windows.old as suggested in some forums, didn’t work.
Anyone has a solution? Would appreciate it.

Paid a visit to Lenovo’s support site.
1. updated firmware
2. updated the intel LAN driver and intel AMT driver
System is behaving better although I am not certain it is totally resolved. Original reboot could be easily re-created under a heavy network load (copying files across the network). Network performance is much better now, although at the end of one of the folder copying it did reboot. Since I finished with the file copying it has not rebooted itself. Originally it would reboot periodically when not being used.
I’ll monitor the system. Will let you know if it continues to be a problem.

После обновления до последней версии Виндовс 10 2004 начали тоннами ссыпать Предупреждение ESENT код события 642, а так-же ошибки 1000 и 1001.
dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth и sfc /scannow делал.
Причем dism заканчивает проверку вот так[===========================84.9%================= ] The restore operation completed successfully.

Проверял диск С на ошибки, чистил диск С по барабану, из не приятного начали вылетать 3D приложения.

Same issue tons of esent id 642 and not all the same.
Sort of fixed one esent 642 error. search/gatherer. Opened indexing service, modified search and then click on advanced and then do a index rebuild. (as of now looks like a fix. However still have other esent 642 errors

I didn’t have this log before upgrading to 2004 too, so it’s something wrong with that.
We can only wait for an update from Microsoft, to fix this strange error.

Same errors — occur many times every time I use Microsoft Edge — Started when Windows 10 2004 was updated . Slows the machine so much !!

It seems like 2004 updating installer does not care removing old databases.

For further clarity on the issue, please respond to the questions below:
1. When exactly do you receive this error?
2. Do you receive any error message/code when trying to use any application?
Meanwhile, one of the things that you can try is booting the PC in Clean Boot and see if you receive the error. Refer the article How to perform a clean boot in Windows
Performing a clean boot will start the computer with minimal set of drivers and programs, to determine whether a background program is causing the issue. Some of the Startup programs will not load after performing a clean boot on the computer. However, that functionality will return when you reset the computer to start normally after finishing the troubleshooting.
If you don’t receive the error after performing Clean Boot, then please refer the section How to determine what is causing the problem after you do a clean boot to identify the root cause of the issue.
Note: Please refer the section Reset the computer to start normally after clean boot troubleshooting to boot the computer in to normal mode after troubleshooting
In addition, you may want to try running System File Checker scan.
