How to remove additional input methods that automatically appeared?

Hi, I’ve always been typing on my laptop using English US and Chinese Singapore only. Recently after the Fall Win 10 update, I noticed that my input method was changed from only two option to three. The new option is English Malaysia (I live in Malaysia).

I tried repeatedly to remove the option by going to language setting, manually added the English Malaysia option and removed it afterward. This seems to be a temporary workaround only, as soon as I shut down and turn on my laptop, it will back to three options.

Anyone has a permanent solution? Thanks.

Remove Input Methods

I’m running into a bit of a difficulty attempting to remove input methods. I’ve already removed the languages and restarted a few times, but the input methods still remain. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I’ve attached a screenshot of the issue below.

Skip the first two named the default key and 1-having value of 00809 which corresponds to EN-UK keyboard, and delete the rest of the values.

Right-click the values one by one and select delete.

I appreciate your help.

I’ve done just as you asked. Deleted all the keys apart from ‘Default’ and ‘1’, but, upon restart, nothing appears to have changed. The input methods are all still present.

Upon investigation, it appears as if all the registry keys have reappeared in the ‘Preload’ folder in the registry.

Does that mean the input methods haven’t been fully deleted? There’s still no other languages apart from English (UK) in the Region & Language settings, but, perhaps, I need to fully delete the other languages from somewhere else?
