How to Update Device Drivers

There are two ways to update drivers.

Option 1 (Recommended): Update drivers automatically — Novice computer users can update drivers using trusted software in just a few mouse clicks. Option 1: Update drivers automatically

The Driver Update Utility for SanDisk devices is intelligent software which automatically recognizes your computer’s operating system and USB model and finds the most up-to-date drivers for it. There is no risk of installing the wrong driver. The Driver Update Utility downloads and installs your drivers quickly and easily.

You can scan for driver updates automatically and install them manually with the free version of the Driver Update Utility for SanDisk, or complete all necessary driver updates automatically using the premium version.

Double-click on the program to run it. It will then scan your computer and identify any problem drivers. You will see a results page similar to the one below:

Click the Update button next to your driver. The correct version will be downloaded and installed automatically. Or, you can click the Update All button at the bottom to automatically download and install the correct version of all the drivers that are missing or out-of-date on your system.

How to Install Drivers

After you have found the right driver, follow these simple instructions to install it.

1. Power off your device.
2. Disconnect the device from your computer.
3. Reconnect the device and power it on.
4. Double click the driver download to extract it.
5. If a language option is given, select your language.
6. Follow the directions on the installation program screen.
7. Reboot your computer.

Windows 10 Creators update and Sandisk usb 3 flash drive not recognized as usb 3

I updated my computer to Windows 10 Creators update 1709 and have very slow transfer rates between my Samsung SSD 850 Pro (9MBs max) and my Sandisk Cruzer Glide USB 3 flash drive. Device Manager only recognizes it as a USB Mass Storage Drive, not a USB 3. I used the USB Problem fix with no luck. I also am using the Asus AI Suite 3 that doesn’t recognize ANY USB 3 drives on the mobo’s 4 USB 3 rear ports when plugged in or even after a reboot. Asus has no updated drivers for USB 3 and Windows 10.

It is possible that the current driver for that device is somehow not compatible with the version of Windows that you are using. To troubleshoot this issue, we recommend reinstalling the driver of your external drive. To do so, kindly follow these steps:

1. Search and open Device Manager on the search box.
2. Right-click Universal Serial Bus controllers and select Uninstall.
3. Restart your PC.

You could also try the USB troubleshooter in case that reinstalling the driver didn’t work.

I read and understand it, I just thought that the USB problem fix that you used is different from the USB troubleshooter that I gave as there are many types of USB fixing tool. Back to the issue, it is possible that there are some misconfigurations on the registry keys of your USB port driver. Another troubleshooting that we could suggest is using CHKDSK (disk check) on your external drive. To do so, follow these:

1. Type Command Prompt on the search box, right-click it, and select Run as administrator.
2. Type chkdsk X: /F (change X to the drive letter of your flash drive).

Ok, so I used the USB fix you posted and the chkdsk. Here is what it said, USB fix first then chkdsk,

После обновления 2019 10 и 2019 11 точно не видит, а несколько месяцев назад точно работала исправно, как загрузочный диск. В проводнике карта также не видна. Через средства администрирования -> управления компьютером диск виден. На нём удалятся и создаётся раздел штатно, но при попытке форматирования сообщает «Не удаётся найти указанный файл». Средствами AOMEI Partition Assistant карта проверяется, перезаписывается, на ней создаётся раздел, форматируется исправно. Под Windows 7 карта видна на других компьютерах и картрийдерах, форматируется, работает с файлами и папками. Пожалуйста подскажите решение. Ответы (10)  Здравствуйте! Вы пробовали выполнять откат системы до даты, когда этой проблемы не было? Нужно точно убедиться, что проблема именно в обновлении. Вы пробовали форматировать на другом ПК флешку в NTFS,вместо FAT32 и проверять, видит ли текущее устройство её. + можно попробовать открыть диспетчер устройств, найти там данную флешку, удалить её, вынуть и заново вставить. __ Если мой ответ вам помог, пожалуйста, отметьте его как ответ.
